Here's an update, but I'm really not sure where I'm going with this. I don't particularly like either option...

The former image is of the columns wrapped in moisture barriers. The following is of them bare:

Really good, and I know you like dirt, but maybe switching from green to something more brownish blackish would take it from abandoned to just worn?

Due to the constantly warm and wet environment, mosses will tend to grow where moisture is retained, such as below the catwalk and on the curve of the hyperboloid. However, I can mix in some rust stains with the area below the catwalk.

The pillars look pretty good, but for some reason, I feel like the cut off at the bottom where the pillars hold the cooling tower seem to end sharply and abruptly. :P

    Just my opinion :)

I do agree with your comment on the pillars; that's really why I haven't released this. Another option is to wrap them in wire mesh/chainlink fencing to add a bit of texture and beef them up size-wise. If I were to do this, I'd probably also add a layer of tarp beneath the chainlink/mesh.

In other news, this has been neglected for far too long...

Can you spot the differences and additions?

It's been awhile since I posted something; however, nice addition of that stairway. It's looking great and goes well with the overall structure! Now, for the structure's function, it could be used as a bar/restaurant with visible bar stools, seats, tables, etc. for vivacity or a place of night-time conventions with three searchlights for the perimeter in a equilateral/isosceles placement and if four searchlights sound better, a rhomboid placement will work just as well. Moreover, loving the ominous and gritty feel of that cooling tower you got there. It's something that you would see in a mystery/horror setting in the rural areas with tall grass, etc. Keep up the great work!

How can you make that curved roof? And the clear glass?

I'm sorry, I can't really say Konstantin. It's a bit like painting a Basquait; it's a lot of work to achieve the end result and you have no idea how you got there. Just a lot of fortunate dabs of paint or in this case bump/reflection/specular/display/etc. maps. For what it's worth, all modeling was done in Sketchup.

Sorry for the double post but I'm on the phone and unable to edit my previous one. Now, the question is...

What would you like to see released first? Choose from the industrial props (e.g. roads, cooling towers), suburban houses, urban concrete retaining (MSE) walls or futuristic houses; the last BAT images I posted.

Futuristic homes are best! Please make them growable.

    I'd say retaining walls first,

then industrial props and suburban houses,

    then futuristic houses.

I like the ultra modern stuff, but I can't really find excuses to use it outside of my universities.

How do you make transparent glass in sketchup?

Well, it sounds like the MSE walls will be first. I'm working on them at this very moment! Thanks for the feedback everyone. Also, Konstantin, you can set the opacity of a texture in Sketchup. Do that to make glass. ;)

Well, here's the progress so far:

    8afcd2507660f05220e9de8d945dab3e79e61bb0

To be honest though, that's not all; I'm actually about to render. The above image is merely to showcase my own MSE wall texture, this is the actual model:

    8afcd250765d5ffa333c9656406beb298eeac696

    Or is this, below?

    8afcd250763a57475a528a2a22e44655486a6a0d

Help me decide on which you prefer. The differences are subtle, I know, but they exist nonetheless. Regardless, the "back end" will appear as such:

    8afcd25076c2f3977da0674b665075cdaba9e592

This was done in two or three hours today, I hope you enjoy the progress!

I really like how the second accentuates the details of the wall, so for me, all for the second :)

I'd rather see you release your BATs as you see fit, just do the one that is the nearest to completion.
