You must have extreme patience to BAT small things. When I do that, I lose interest then projects get postponed :b

    I'd almost say that the loading bays are a little too much if you keep them like this, the repetition becomes very obvious. Maybe just leave one of them out  - it's not like the stores couldn't share a loading area or maybe there's a larger store that doesn't need two. That parking lot is what's up though, really nice.

    I'd almost say that the loading bays are a little too much if you keep them like this, the repetition becomes very obvious. Maybe just leave one of them out  - it's not like the stores couldn't share a loading area or maybe there's a larger store that doesn't need two. That parking lot is what's up though, really nice.

     

     

    I'll probably leave it out of one or two iterations. This model is intended to represent a clothing and housewares store. Things like restaurants or small, private businesses will not have loading bays.

    maybe I should just place a single large entrance and the other windows, or quisas other stores to give realism because many quisas same store them together or other styles to the other stores as displays, ads, etc.. ;)

    One other solution I had just thought of would be to retain the loading bays in most stores, but have them of a different design. This would greatly differentiate one boutique from the next.

    I think I get what you're saying. I am aiming to make this a strip mall of boutiques, not big box stores (although those can certainly be included, in conjunction with these BATs). Furthermore, this will not be the only store.     Your last project is superb, I just find that there is insufficient space on the back of the LOT to let pass the delivery trucks. :D

     

    The cooling tower reaches maturity! :yes:  But I find it a little bit crushed, 133% vertical scaling may be useful...?! :lost:

    Thanks for reminding me about the scaling. ;) After some quick testing, it seems 120% to 125% will be optimal. I'll have some screenshots soon.

    I have added some water, below the hyperboloid structure, as per the real-world design.

    However, I feel as though the concrete texture was not realistic enough, so I have to changed to a more photorealistic pink colour and immensely higher poly count. Let me know what you think! Actually, the pink is just a temporary mask to speed up render time.

    Wow! Such artistic brilliance! Top quality detail modelling and such good textures! The pink colour captures the essence of the uncertainty in life about our preferences and poses the question about the meaning of our existence. This work of quality cannot be surpassed by any other BATter! :D

    Here's the vertically scaled version:

    To give a sense of scale and footprint, I put a random building I had lying around as a placeholder for the pumphouse which supplies the structure with cool water. The actual building will just be an exposed metal framework with mechanical pump and piping bits.

    The vertical scaling looks much better. The whole BAT is looking really nice.

     

    I'm not familar with these structures, should there be a doorway where the gantry intersects with the pumphouse? Maybe because I can't see the other side, what's the other gantry for? There's only appears to be one ladder. Is the pumphouse door on the other side? Its all very intriguing, I feel like I want to climb around on it and see where everything goes :golly:

    Since the current addition to the cooling tower is a temporary placeholder, I did not go into detail with doors. To be honest, I don't think the new structure will have doors anyways. Just a roof over a larger catwalk/gantry area that encircles a myriad of pipes and pumps. Also, Reddonquixote, each and every cooling tower is custom made; seldom are two ever alike, even at the same facility. Pretty much anything goes when it comes down to the nitty-gritty details. :)

    Can't help but mention that this is my 1,000th post! Kind of cool that I reached this landmark on my birthday; which is of a particular landmark age.

    Both are in the works. I have actually been working on the former; the MSE walls quite recently.

    It's funny, because this cooling tower is intended to be used at a nuclear facility. :P Psst... Between you and me, we'll just say it was intentional.
