Here's an update regarding a smaller dwelling:

 

 

 

This is a two-storey housing complex comprising of two subunits; a lower and upper level. The second floor must still be BATed.

 

 

The open spot seen to the right of the latter picture will include a, entrance way, common area and possibly driveways/underground access. Enjoy!

It would be good to get rid of the maxis cars props. As you are a very skilled modeler it would be easy for you to do this.

It will be an excellent idea . But, I'm not sure if we need to completely delete the Maxis stuff, I'm nostalgic . If you, dear Bipin you can create news cars clusters for our parkings area, its will be awesome with beautiful North American cars some chevy, Dodge RAM, Ford, JEEP, GMC etc etc... lol . It's my dream to see those magnificent cars in the game one day ... sorry

Heh, yeah... To be honest though, it's a great idea (albeit it not a small one). I will release one or two of these futuristic buildings first, then move on to vehicles. Everyone, let me know what vehicles you'd like to see. They'll all be futuristic, but to what extent? Remember, I want them to be believable and complimentary of the aesthetics entailed in my most recent structures.

I'm thinking of streamlined very aerodynamic cars. They look more like some machines we will have in the near future than the wildly colored retro futuristic 60s cars. I think we need to replace maxis cars clusters because they were built in the petroleum age when cars burn gasoline and no longer fit for bright green future.

I'd like to get those future cars to entirely replace maxis carb clusters. It would be a great contribution to the New Horizons community and Mr.Bipin will go down in sc4 history with 2ch.net.simplayer and timcravey. Not only will it save me and other NH members from spending countless hours relotting parking lots, replacing maxis cars with simmars rovers, but it also replaces the maxis cars in .dat files where relotting is not an option. Overall it is a potentially great mod.

My oh my, sorry for the late post but I just had to drop in and say that looks stunning! The "coldness" of the glass on top and the "warmth" of the levels below work really well together. Keep it up! Plus, the spokes (like the ones for bicycle wheels and such) are an interesting touch to the overall structure. Is this structure almost complete? Can't wait for the final render. =P

 

Edit: Ah, and yes, forgot to mention about your potential/prospective BATs with future cars. If you're comfortable and only if you want, I would love to collaborate on that project with you.

If you're able to do automata, then that'd be especially helpful. Perhaps I could make the higher-poly models for props, while you optimize them for use as automata. Of course, it would also be helpful if you modeled some for props and I did some for props as well. Let me know what you have in mind!

Hmm, I've been wanting to do some Z6 renders for awhile now and automata is a perfect place to start. Now, I may not be the best at doing detailed figures/dummies catered to the cars here but I'll definitely work with what I got and hopefully improve quickly while I help you with this project. I can definitely also go ahead and pump out some framework/contour of the future cars that we will be working on as a collaboration and so can you (basically an exchange of ideas back and forth for a better product, etc.) And, I am completely fine with you taking over a model if need be for those higher-poly detailing of cars as you have more experience in 3d modeling and BATing--especially, with those tricky/intricate curves and angles that car modeling requires for that professional/grounded look and I am willing to work on them as well to be of support and benefit. Now, I do have a few car models that I have done couple years back just for fun. I will go and dig some up so that I can review/critique it and perhaps rework it from the ground up and base some contours on those past ideas that I have not finished yet and send you some. Coming up with ideas and proof-of-concepts is not a problem for me. So, let me know if you're still wanting me as part of the team and if not that's still understandable as I have some ways to go to reach the levels of our BATing experts here. It is strictly up to you as it should be. I don't want to be a burden and be detrimental to this project as we go forth. So, perhaps as a prescreening process I'll send in some renders for yah and you be the judge. In or not it's completely up to you, I just want to be proactive in the community so anything works for me that is both beneficial to the community and BATers here. After seeing some of the content brought forth recently in the "Didn't make it to the STEX" thread, I've been inspired to rekindle my industrial props project; the one regarding construction machinery, water towers, generic facilities and the like...

 

 

Cooling towers are a long overdue addition to the game when it comes to custom content, for they are so versatile. Let alone, ones which have realistic grime textures. I had studied the patterns in which residue deposits on hyperboloid structures of this size when creating these BATs.

 

 

I began working on these about twenty minutes ago; this is my progress thus far.

 

 

It is also present in a HD version. Frankly, I prefer the HD version as I find the graininess is negligible when it comes to zoom five.
