About This File

Tribune Tower was the home of the Oakland Tribune newspaper. It was built in 1906, and the tower was added in 1924 when the newspaper made the building its headquarters.

On this day a decade ago I uploaded my first BAT with my Jasoncw username. I'd like to thank everyone I've gotten to know over the years. *

  • 2x2 growable and ploppable CO§§§ lots.
  • MaxisNite and DarkNite versions included.
  • DarkNite requires the Day and Nite Modd.

  2. Unzip the .zip and move its contents to Documents/SimCity4/Plugins.
  3. SC4Lot files are descriptively titled. Remove the lot versions which you do not want. Do not remove any .SC4Model files.

Oooooh! An upload from you - it's been too long without one!

As I said in the thread, I first mistook the building for a skyscraper before I noticed its actual size. However, it proves that small towers can also be beautiful. The marquee, the clock, the large company logo... it's all so classy! Needless to say, modeling and texturing are up to your usual level (i.e. marvelous), and the colourful night lights are a wonderful eye catcher, too. :) Maybe the light in the office windows is a tad on the cold side, but I guess that can be justified by the fact that it's offices and not apartments.

Congratulations on your 10-year upload anniversary (at least counting your current nick), too! May another 10 years follow.

Now where's Aaron with his Beekman Tower to give this little gem some equal company? I'm looking at you, Mr. Art Deco! :ninja:

Fantastic building! :thumb:  Outstanding work. Man, it just gives personality to a town. It fits nicely between custom and default buildings and gives a certain glitter to a place. It's not too big, not too small-just perfect. Moar please. :D 8)  I've always thought that 3x3, 2x2 buildings are very useful especially when you are trying to link the high density with the low density areas. Also, thank you for including the plop versions. Simcity is more fun with functional ploppable  buildings.

Amazingly detailed modeling and textures - an instant classic.  Like others have said, the nightlights are really the star of the show with this beauty - It's 9 o'clock somewhere :)

Congrats on 10 years of amazing SC4 creations
