Gaps in asset content?
DeltaGamer replied to Ryno917's topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
I feel like there is a lack of modern/contemporary buildings. There are plenty of buildings from the late 20th century and some that are technically built in modern times, but whose architecture is not contemporary. It would be nice to see modern and/or sustainable contemporary buildings that are realistic rather than the fantastically futuristic or over the top (or even just plain ugly) things we often see in the workshop. There are some skyscrapers and similar assets that fit into contemporary styles but I feel like we are lacking in more everyday contemporary buildings, like those that were included to some limited extent in the green cities expansion. We have a lot of assets to build historic cities but not so many to build nice, realistic, sustainable contemporary or near-future cities. -

Is it possible this same thing can be made but with separated bus lanes instead of the tram tracks? -

A Wild Strictoaster has appeared! No idea how to solve your problem though... -
That's weird. I'm also on a MacBook with integrated graphics and I don't have any issue (other than the game running slower than a sloth)

Prop Snapping - Game Changing Mod by BloodyPenguin
DeltaGamer replied to PUGG3RS Gaming's topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
If possible, it could be pretty interesting, since we could basically texture buildings (for example, I in particular want to cover the roofs and walls with more interesting things, like green roofs and stuff (going along with normal props being placed over them)). Of course, the mod (and by extension, this feature) should be togglable -

Cimtropolis Mall - Potential collaborative project
DeltaGamer replied to squirrelarmyuk's topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
I think real-life brands should be included if they are worldwide brands, like Apple, McDonald's or Nike (and those "fancier" European stores, for example), as well as some in-game brands, but preferably make those consistent, like Sherlock's Coffee, Miyagi Motors or some other one that is already established, as well as new ones (which can be added elsewhere in the future to add consistency), so that it feels unique in way, but there is also a connection to the real world, and most importantly, the consistency in in-game brands would make it feel connected to the rest of the community. This would also mean that there is less work that asset creator have to do to make buildings with custom branding. Of course, that would imply there being some agreement as to which brands will be used extensively and would require those who want to make some new brands to share them. Maybe we should make a new thread to discuss such things and propose brands, I think it would be a good idea -

Additional Public Transit
DeltaGamer replied to andreharv's topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
LOL, I guess that part of that may work (maybe just the modded portions with no DLC stuff), although I don't think it would be worth it in-game. Also, I didn't know Germany had merged versions of tram/metro/rail. That's very interesting! Also, cool name Personally, I actually want just that but with a Maglev sort of skin. Not sure if its possible, but it would be cool. I want to make futuristic cities, so yeah- 1,259 Replies

Additional Public Transit
DeltaGamer replied to andreharv's topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
Maybe we should just make a tram/metro/light rail/heavy rail/standard rail (unless it's the same as heavy)/commuter rail/elevated rail all-in-one super universal rail? Yeah, that wouldn't really work... But maybe it could be an interesting idea (I think that by using low-power intermediate-speed inductrack maglev tech it could be created IRL, but IDK if it could work in game)- 1,259 Replies
