Is there any way to get in contact with NEXT team?
Evil.Iguana posted a topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
I've been releasing some roads based on my favorite Roads United texture package. I am sitting on several completed networks because they are based on NEXT roads and I haven't been able to get in contact with anyone on that team to get official permission to make them public. I am 99% certain the original author would be cool with it but I want to make sure everything I do is 100% kosher and gives proper credit to everyone who contributed. If anyone here knows a good way to get in contact with anyone involved with the current NEXT 2 project that would be supremely useful. -
Future of New Roads For Network Extensions 2
andreharv posted a topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
Needed a clickbaity title . Anyway, would you like me to incorporate all the roads from the now abandoned 'New Roads For Network Extensions 2' mod into Network Extensions 2? Or would you rather me put them in a new mod called 'Network Extensions Plus'? On the one hand... A separate mod will allow me to have a higher level of flexibility in taking requests for road variations. NExt+ will focus on adding public transport/bike capabilities to existing roads in NExt2, similar to what it is currently doing now. I would focus on new road types in NExt2 while adding the flurry of 'can I have a bike lane in...' requests for NExt+ (if you get what I mean). On the other hand... Keeping the roads together will allow me to keep all your favorite roads in one place. There are also a couple of the roads that accidentally found their way into the original mod and thus I would not have to worry about figuring out how to corral those people into a separate mod.-

BadPeanut: Road Modding [WIP] first look for a new bridge (SHB)
Bad Peanut posted a topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
Hey guys! so with the hint of a road modding tool in the next DLC arriving, and presuming it's something like Network Extensions let's discuss what roads would be cool to add! I've looked at the source code of Network Extensions and I've looked at their textures etc so I want to make a start at creating textures for roads. for that i need suggestions! Rules: Use https://streetmix.net/new to visualise your road. I won't even consider ones that are just some random description For roads you want to zone on: use either 16m wide roads or 32m wide roads as those are the two widths that work with zoning. For highways you can use any width lanes for cars, trams, buses etc should be 3m in width. parking should be 2m wide sidewalks should be at least 2m wide (maybe 1.5m at the smallest) and this is for either side of the road, so at least 4m of sidewalk altogether! try and keep in mind that it's not about creating new types of prefabs like MOM, it's for reskinning like we do with Network Skins! Here's some examples of Vanilla Roads visualised in StreetMix a 16m Wide Basic Road: And a 32m Wide Medium Road You can click on the above links to be taken to a template in streetmix. Give me inspiration! -

Abrams posted a City Journal entry in (SC4,C:S)Tokod County,Picture Scrapbook
Welcome back! This time we'll look at River Crossing again. On SC4D i'll be posting a my perspective update so don't forget to check that out too!(Linkie: https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=17399.0 ) The first thing i wanted to show you which is the biggest thing is....my first complex rail! i've spent hours and hours on it to look confusing.(and i'm satisfied with the result) It'll be part of an industrial area with a major rail hub.(So expect like 10 RRW rail next to eachother! Here's a look at a busy avenue which serves as an extender for an RHW 6.Many trucks use it for bypassing through the city. Then there is the Central Park where the small church is located.Don't forget to visit this place since it's the center of the town's brimming life! Behind the scenes of the downtown: That's the end of this episode,i hope you enjoyed,i'll be back soon!- 2 Comments
