    Hi All, I just returned to ST after some absence, and ST5 was a big surprise to me! Many new features. Cheers Dirk! I have a question. I have noticed some "XML" buttons, listed under the "RSS" column in the homepage. What does this do exactly? How do you use it? I would really appreciate any help. Thank you in aadvance.
  5. Wealth doesn't relate to density in any way. By zoning different density zones you can control the maximum size/height of the buildings to develop. To increase the wealth provide better education and health (but this takes time) resulting in better jobs. Also build more parks and trees and tackle crime. By zoning commercial both CS and CO may appear, and you cannot control it by zoning, only by taxation (affecting the demand). Argiculture is different to the rest of industry. In I-Ag zones only farms will grow, while for the rest of industrial zone types all other three types depending on your education quality and taxation (demand) as well as desirability. Hope this helps.

    Great work on the lot, Excellent modelling work, but the textures could improve a bit. The roof looks too dirty and the walls too clean and walls too clean. So 9/10!

    At least the front of the tram looks rather different to the original. It should be more curved. I think the tram should be more narrow aswell. Maybe a second attempt.

    Really like them! The lot size is weird though (6x3), you will have to make 6x3 lots and wait them grow.

    OK, it works now! Good start for a first BAT, but I find that the busstop is quite small, it should be larger. Plus the lots still need much work to catch-up with Cogeo's stuff. I wouldn't like to have so many roadtop packs in my plugins, (continued)

  16. Which do you prefer? Grid or Free-Form

    Grids are not very efficient if they are perfectly interconnected, cause the game's pathfinding may just choose a low-capacity network (eg a street) if the route is somewhat shorter compared to a higher-capacity network. Plus they are not very realistic either, and not very convenient if your terrain has mountains, lakes, rivers, canals etc. I tend to make an arterial design, ie keep in mind where the main arteries (highways, avenues) will be, and build industrial and commercial areas, as well as residential (dense or suburban) around them. Inside these areas, yes, I mostly use grids. I don't have direct low-capacity connections between residential and industrial/commercial as this causes extreme traffic on them with all the unwanted effects (pollution, noise).

    Many roadtop station packages have been released on the STEX, but this one is the BEST IMPLEMENTED, leaving little or no space for further improvement!!!
