That's what I normally do. Problem is I had a specific case where I needed to connect an L1 ERRW bridge to one of Mattb's Elevated Stations, but the segment was too short for the line to remain as an L1 Viaduct (read: it would switch back to L0). That's why I asked if there were any barriers from including direct L1 & L2 RRW Starters in a future NAM release, as they would really come in handy for those tight spots.

That's weird. I'm looking in the ERRW menu and all I can find are the Transition pieces. Can't seem to find the ERRW starters in any of the other rail menus either.

Are there any barriers that would prevent the creation of starter pieces for the draggable RRW viaducts (7.5 and 15m)?. Came across a couple situations where they would come in handy on short sections where the transition pieces are not useful.

dragonsteincole's Workshop
superhighway_410 replied to dragonsteincole's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
I just want to say thanks for uploading this. I just read through what happened and want to wish you my delayed condolences. I'm glad you took some time to recoup and am happy that you still have the motivation to do this kind of stuff. These look really nice, especially the El/Subway. I am so happy that we finally have Double-Headed Subway Trains (sans the ones Vester uploaded back on SC4D) I tried to install the El/Subway Train (I have other mods), but have had some issues as they seem to crash my game. When I tried to drive one in UDI to see what they looklike, I noticed that the train cars spawn as a jumbled mess between the new ones and the vanilla ones before crashing. I did make sure that no other El/Sub automata was installed, but I'm not sure if there is another conflict that I'm not aware of. Let me know if you need an image, and apologies for putting you on the spot.- 178 Replies

NAM Documentation & NAM Translation
superhighway_410 replied to Ulisse Wolf's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
For a second, I thought NAM was being discontinued suddenly! Not sure if I'll be able to commit, but I'm glad that this is happening. I know there were many gaps in the documentation that still need to be filled- 7 Replies

How do I slow down growth?
superhighway_410 replied to Propfam's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
For new cities, In my experience, It's all down to self-control and looking beyond just the demand charts. Even if you have plenty of demand in a new city, you don't necessarily need to capitalize on it immediately. In fact, trying to fill an entire city tile to fulfill demand is one of the ways to bankrupt yourself quick. Instead, build in gradual steps - build a small neighbourhood, some shops and a farm or industrial area, let it build out and check how you're budget is looking. The incremental method is also good in preventing your cities from stagnating because you avoid over-developing. As for the lack of health & education, you don't need to provide those things immediately, no matter how many complaints you'll get from your health advisor. Just let your city grow naturally until you can afford to put those kinds of facilities in. In fact, it may be a good idea to have cities in your region that lack education because some jobs require poorly educated workers. In reality, the only services you should have immediately are power and fire coverage (and police if you have the more riots mod). -

@Haljackey Park Rangers' retreat, maybe? @asasnat Lol, that ain't fertilizer your farmers are spreading all over! On a serious note, you might want to check your garbage capacity, trash piles like that mean you gonna need more landfills (in case you didn't know already).

A late commute home
-
Yeah, I already figured that was the case. Already fixed it up. I would imagine functionality would be compromised as the paths would be changed from subways to road traffic (I think). Still looks kinda goofy though, hence why I posted it here

I guess my city's DOT thought we were building highway tunnels instead of subway lines. Time to write them pink slips!

The Moose Factory - Virtual Bar and Grill - Version 3
superhighway_410 replied to A Nonny Moose's topic in General Off-Topic
Man, it's been a while since I stepped foot in this place. Hope everyone has been keeping well. Jack, that definitely sounds like a pleasant time, and a good way to relax after a month of hard work. I got a couple of weeks myself before I go back to Uni for my final term, so I've been trying to get out on walks and all that. Rain has been unpredictable in Southern Ontario, I tell ya what -
Hello everyone, I'm guessing no one remembers me, so I'd may aswell re-introduce myself. I've been on this site for years, wound up taking a break from SC4 when I upgraded PCs back in 2019 (must have been much longer than that since I last posted). I'm actually very pleased that this site is still running and that there is still a strong community going. Anyways, I figured that I'd say hello, rather than just lurk and download everything off of STEX & LEX again. Take care, all!

BSC Functional Seaports issues
superhighway_410 replied to Pappasmurf's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
Out of curiosity, are all the seaports in the pack showing brown boxes, or is it just certain seaports? If so, which ones? I assume you downloaded all the dependencies from the list on SC4D, but I also know that there is a dependency that is missing from that list which is needed for the Newman Inc seaports. Learned that the hard way myself.- 5 Replies
