  1. Alrighty, while ST has been down for maintenance, I've been busy. I've done an HD version of the equivalent R$. I'll probably make several different variations of this design. You can also see with the day shot that I've pretty much toned the sky all the way down and made it much sharper. Without the diffusion of light in the atmosphere (since there is no atmosphere to speak of lol), shadows tend to be much darker, relying on reflection from the moon's surface. I also have an invisible ground plane material that (nearly) matches the moon's surface reflection values. I did quite a bit of research to get this to work properly, and so far it seems to work quite nicely. I don't have that "pitch black" shadow but rather a good reflection amount at ground level. I also changed the daytime "sky" background to a starfield since even in the sunlight, the stars are still visible I also have two concept for cargo trains. One is a simple maglev type and the other is a suspended maglev. The latter looks nice but will be incredibly difficult to implement. The standard maglev will be easier to implement but not quite as interesting (see last picture) R$ Daytime, Nighttime and detail shots: And of course the train concepts. Maglev on top, Suspended on bottom. Shows engine, open cargo and closed cargo types. I don't feel like spending the time to texture them and cut their poly counts until I know which one I'm going to move forward with. I need a little help learning how to even start with making the train models lol. This is also HD zoom.
  2. Thanks guys! I understand it would be a pretty big undertaking, and I do know about the Spaces in Domes, Nonny, but I am going for a more sci-fi look. It's a personal preference. Huston, I like that! Needs some refining, obviously, but it's coming along nicely. I've been checking out the teasers for the new Anno game and it's what inspired me. I fell in love with the moon architecture.
  3. The City of Rockhill

    I absolutely love that single-point interchange. Any chance I could get a shot underneath the bridge to see how it's connected? I tried one and and the way it was built was just horrible Yours is simply beautiful! This entire journal is beautiful. I played this map but I don't like how the largest river flows unnaturally into the ocean causing those monster waves.
  4. [CSL] Show us what you're working on!

    @Nevermore2797, I really like how your Freeway winds through your suburbs! It looks great. Here's a bit of work on Helios City. Mostly what I have so far.
  5. Show us your SKYLINE

    The skyline of Helios City, as seen from Shapiro Harbor
  6. [CSL] Show us what you're working on!

    Working on Gracemeria's central business district.
  7. Show Us Your Skylines Interchanges

    When you need an exit from a major artery, but you don't have room. I give you the King's Avenue exit. A rather creative solution to my problem
  8. Show us your Downtown/CBD

    Double Post, sorry, but here are my contributions!
  9. Show us your Downtown/CBD

    Definitely Dallas. Is that Reunion Tower I spy?
  10. Show us your bridges!

    Let me tell you how many "short increments" it took to make this monster! btw, it's "bridge by VIP". It's a park, but it causes kind of a "dam" effect in smaller rivers so use it out in the open if possible. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=431122850
  11. Show us your Detail Shots

    Well, this is something to wake up to!
  12. Gracemeria

    Version 1.0

    1,962 Downloads

    This map is based on the map from Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation. Unfortunately, I had to scale it down a bit. I hope you all enjoy it!! Please note: The uploaded file is just a screenshot. To download it, please get it from the Steam Workshop, link below! Steam Workshop Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=473334947 It's a very flat map, with some hills and such in the outskirts and where the King's Castle was located on the western side of the map. Good amount of resources for those who like to just build without worrying about scarce resources!
  13. Reddonquixote's BAT thread

    Red, if you send me that future-like eco building I think I could finish it for you. I have some ideas of my own for it!
  14. So, my old BAT thread was riddled with sub-par models and unfinished things that will probably never see the light of day (except maybe the Office of Naval Intelligence building, that one has potential). I'll admit it, I just got bored of working with them. Mainly because I couldn't figure out where I was headed. Anywho, I've decided to start anew with a clean slate. For my first big project, I'm picking up where SimFox left off, and doing my own rendition of the Russia Tower. I'm aware this isn't exactly accurate, and it isn't meant to be. This is INSPIRED by Russia Tower, but completely my own model! I've run into a few problems with the glass, since it's not exactly the way I want it, but It works out alright and I can live with it. I still need to do the roof and central tower, but she's coming along nicely! I give you, ladies and gentlemen, the Greystone Industries World Headquarters
  15. daTS's BATs [Athena Security Solutions HQ]

    That would probably be best. I'll edit mine and have a link to yours as a "Superior relot" I tried to open the one you sent and it doesn't seem to want to work haha, then again, I'm just not very skilled with the Lot Editor. and the problem I had with greystone tower was that about halfway through the render, it crashed out and wouldn't continue while exporting. It turns out that it's the blinds script I use. I'll have to make the blinds from scratch, it seems.
  16. daTS's BATs [Athena Security Solutions HQ]

    Remember this? I've isolated the problem and have begun work on it again!
  17. So, I've moved to Skylines. (see signature for link to SC4 CJ) Just a teaser. For now.
  18. Kingdom of Illium || Update 1.3

    Thank you all for the kind replies! Also, just an FYI, I have NOT made any content for Cities: Skylines. I am not sure how to make it to be honest. I'll learn though. Anyway, on to Update 1.3! Callia City's motto is "Live a beautiful life". I hope you enjoy it! Looking across the Athoss Bridge at downtown. Athoss Bridge is named after Captain Julian Athoss, of the East India Company. He was blown off course and his crew were the first documented Europeans to set foot on what would become the Kingdom of Illium right here on the Callia River Delta. Callia strives to be a green city, utilizing as much green-space and green energy as possible. This is the back of the INB headquarters building Uptown Callia City, where all the fashionable and trendy shops and restaurants are located. This particular avenue is 6th street. When anyone wants to party in the uptown area, they generally say "Hey, we're headed to 6th street!". The University of Illium, Callia campus (commonly called UIC). One of the four major campuses for the University of Illium. UIC team mascots are the Ravens (Football/Soccer) and the Nighthawks (American Football) Life is quiet in the suburb. Here's a wonderful shot, looking over Grapevine Mills district with the Callia City skyline in the background. Grapevine Mills sits right on the very edge of the Callia City limits. Unfortunately, every city has it's less savory locations. Northmont Park is Callia City's ghetto district. Crime rates are marginally higher, although not anywhere near as bad as Illium City's ghettos, thanks to a very... noticeable police presence. CCPD community outreach program has a surprising success rate here. Unfortunately, it seems like businesses would rather not be associated with the Northmont Park area, simply because it's known as a "trashy" place to be. And of course the obligatory overview of the developed area.
  19. Kingdom of Illium || Update 1.3

    Continuing work. Also a glamour shot. The Illium National Bank (INB) Headquarters. Laying the groundwork for some suburban sprawl! And of course, the overview of how it's going so far.
  20. Kingdom of Illium || Update 1.3

    Thanks for the support guys! The encircling highway is actually very necessary, as the traffic going into the city was getting crazy backed up. It's still bad on the main artery running north/south. I've actually created interchanges on it so far, but it looks like I'm going to have to do another limited-access freeway running north/south through the CBD. I've already got one on the river. It's been a little slow, especially since I cant find the Screenshot hotkey. I'll update this as soon as I can. RLS (Real-Life Syndrome) is in full effect. YAY for full-time jobs!
  21. Entry 5: Tropical Paradise

    On the steam workshop there's an awesome mod that changes the purple pollution colors to brown, which looks SO much better.
  22. b62 Remastered: Target SuperMEGA Center

    Oh man! You're awesome, sir! I'm honored you'd include the Illium National Bank over the other banks on the SC4 market, and It looks amazing!  I love this lot, sir!
  23. Show us What you're Working On

    You better release those BATs. If they're unfinished, release the 3D models, because I'll sure as hell finish em! They're beautiful, Huston!
  24. Show us your Downtown!

    Well, traffic might help a little It does look pretty interesting though
  25. Reddonquixote's BAT thread

    I've got my FX9590 with a stable overclock at 5.7GHz, with my liquid cooling loop keeping it under 70c under load, and I've got two ROG Matrix Platinum GTX 780ti's (Each with 4GB of VRAM). I'm also sporting 64GB or RAM As for the waterfall, you've got me there. I would use textures, as well as a center column of some sort. The waterfall would be mist halfway down anyways. (my rig, )
