I would like to start modeling some Latin American buildings, what would be a good program to do? if possible is there a tutorial there?

The most used program is the Building Architect Tool (BAT)

You'll find a good tutorial on the Omnibus here on ST;

Part1:

Part 2;

Part 3;

Part 4;

There is also a lot of useful information in this topic; on the BAT sub-forum;

@kk47tv

In his description, indeed MallowTheCloud talks about his plugins pack named Plugins1.zip quote “If you don't have my plugins pack, download it here.“ but it was in 2005 and this pack included only the files needed to render these maps.
Nothing more.No lots, no bats, no mods, only the files for the erosion listed in the moganite’s upload (link above).
Have a good day

You can find it in this download from SimCity Plaza: www.simcityplaza.de/index.php/props-und-texturen/props?download=415:fahrzeug-props-von-gizmo28&start=10

Most likely bundled up into either of these files;

It would help us helping you if you gave some more information about what plugins pack you are missing...
Does it relate to the mentioned nyc map? If so,could you provide a linkto the map?

That way it is easier for us to dig around for information

Thank you, PEG CDKOWW Commercial Style indeed the missing dependecy, thank you !

@kk47tv   I think you have downloaded a map of MallowTheCloud, may be this one :

and you must have the file 250m.dat for the rendering, as specified in the description. So you can find it in moganite’ content :

You have inside all these “height.dats“ in the folder MallowTheCloudHeightPlugins.
You must have this file and only this one in your plugins folder when rendering this map of NYC .
Hope this helps!

Height Mod maybe the answer ! Some maps rendered manualy in the region folder turn out at lowest terrain level like St petersburgh, this file describe same procedure like

Looking for the 250m height mod ?

Sincerely yours,

kschmidt

@kschmidt Hey, as you're pretty active on this thread, I wanted to ask you how did you manage to have plain concrete sidewalks, without grass, on the various images of your recreation of Praha. I wasn't able to find any information about that... Thanks in advance ^^

Might have to try other heights yes. Doesn't say anywhere in the description which height mod should be used....

Also, looks like you use custom water mod.. Do you have a custom terrain mod to? I think there could be a conflict with newer terrain mods and those height plugins... Try rendering the region without plugins first to see if this changes everything

Hello Simtropians and Mayors! May the 4th be with you all and Happy Friday to the rest! I’ve got a file I can’t find. I don’t think it’s a lot.... Not sure if they are telephone poles or power poles but the lines follow down your sidewalks without impeding your commercial or residential zoning. I have seen the lot versions but that’s as close as I can find. A good example is what Simmer2 has in his construction lot showcase photo on the home page. You can see the poles/lines going down the street, right side of the construction lot. I used to see something like that on here and it had the suburban wooden poles as an option. I hope that’s enough info. Thanks.

I'm at a loss. I've downloaded every dependency on the list for this lot by Heblem (LBT Team) and when I go into the game, there's no parking lots. Not only is it with this file, but his Walmart/Sam's Club and others, too. Any ideas? I know I am missing something - but it appears to be beyond the dependencies...

@adsii1970 I think the issue is the same one as we fixed in this thread;

Despite the LBT Mega Texture packs on STEX, these lots only seems to work with the older LBT Texture packs that can be located on Captial SimCity

@nos.17 Oh okay! That very much looks like what Simmer2 has.... Thanks for that. I could almost swear there was one other on here that also had the traditional wood poles too, but this is still a decent option.

Two questions though: does it work well with NAM 36 in terms of the TULEPs and road/avenue curves? And is there a risk with other sidewalk mods?

Checking the support thread, it doesn't seems like having serious issues with the NAM. Nevertheless, if somebody could know almost for sure, it is @rsc204

As far as I know, what Simmer2 is using is part of the JPN Sidewalk Mod, specifically it puts these wires on SAM3/4 networks.

The RHD variant Magneto offers is just to move certain signs/props for RHD setups, since in Japan cars drive on the left (LHD), so by default that's where the signs would be. Such mods are known as T21 mods, in short a T21 allows for props to be placed on functional networks. However, you need at least one T21 for every network piece (ID) where you want props to appear. So if a T21 mod was made years ago (such as this), unless it was updated (it wasn't), support for any new pieces after the last version will not be there. Practically speaking that means that such T21 mods don't support new NAM 36 content such as FTL-based TuLEPs and the like. So yes there will be gaps if you want to use the wires mod for most networks, but this is less of a problem if you're only after those for the Rural Streets (SAM). In that case, with the exception of the NAM 36 SAM WRCs, support should be fairly complete.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

Sir. Are you looking for one specific plugin? Or are you hoping to find a collection of every custom content to download in one big bundle?

If it is the latter;  all we can offer is the STEX Collection discs which are avaliable for a small fee. If that does not suit you, you will have to download everything you want 1 piece at the time.
At the moment, there is no other way to get hold of lots of custom content in a single swoop.

If you are looking for something specific; please provide more information (e.g: a screenshot or a name)

In short, no. It has long since been decided that completed or even partially built city tiles should not be shared on the STEX for a few reasons; mainly, it's a dependency nightmare trying to figure out all the OP used. You'll have to get into contact with someone who has already done it (maybe the person who originally created that picture) and see if they want to send it to you.

This I'm not sure about. It looks like some custom lots with paeng's texture pack combined with a custom sidewalk texture override. That being said, there's also a chance the fillers could be stuck in Fantozzi's Big Paeng Theory. If you're only looking for something similar, search "diagonal fillers," and you'll find plenty of varieties.

There are some catenary packs, but they are old enough to be incompatible with the new FARR and the draggable E-RRW. If I were you, I would wait for the release of the NAM 37 and this beauties:

There is a mod, an old one I believe that speeds up construction for roads and bridges. Does anyone remember what it was called ? My plugin's folder is 16GB and its proving hard to find this one.

@redfox85 I don't know such a mod in particular, but you can do it yourself by modifying your slope mod, if you have one. Open the files that come with your slope mod with Reader, then search for the exemplar file with the ID 6534284a-084344e0-0781214f. This controls the behaviour of the Road network. Along with its behaviour on slopes, you can also edit it to be built faster (this should also affect the building speed of bridges). In particular, the property Construction Crew Time handles it. The value is in seconds (i.e. it takes this many seconds to build one tile of road network).
