Yeah, most of the B62 buildings like that Culvers got accidentally deleted off the STEX years ago. So finding people who have B62 stuff is also fun. I know @nos.17 is reloting a lot of the B62's lots (With permission even) so you'd want to also probably contact him and have him take a look at this.

EDIT:

I'm actually looking for small W2W diagonal to ortho transition buildings, similar to the ones found in Prepos's W2W diagonal pack. Any ideas?

That is the driveable and this is the MMP it's in the PLEX section

Hey guys, so I'm not sure if this building (10 Universal City Plaza in Los Angeles) was ever released, but I could've sworn that someone was working on it a few years back.  I've searched all over and couldn't find it, not even the thread that I swore I saw it in.  If it was released, any help finding it would be greatly appreciated.  If not, anyone remember who was working on it? Not that I'd expect it to be released if it hasn't already been... but I need to know that I'm not going crazy in my old age... or am I?

Sorry Ray not sure where it came from, they grow a lot in my region, it might be that it was a relot by Twrecks in the IRM, it tends to grow when you have a single industrial zoned tile next to a LOT that grew.

The lot is one of the growable industrial lots in the IRM. Do you just want the prop? It's a lot of dependencies to go through, but the prop's gotta be in one of them.

If you just want the lot, you'll need to install IRM or dig it out of the package.

@philforhockey51 @rsc204 Thanks guys , I figured it to be more than just a lot I could DL and put in my plugins . The IRM is a major undertaking by TWrecks that looks awesome , it even made maxis stuff look better . But between all the dependencies and my cities being well developed I chose not to take on the Revolution . If/when I do a new install of the game , the IRM will be a priority plugin right after the NAM .

If you actually find the prop in EDITOR -- drop me a note and let me know. 

I would like to do a filler lot based on those "tanks" but don't know if digging through all those props to look for it would be worth the effort.  I didn't go with T-Wrecks' IRM for the very same reasons you mention -- so I may not even have the right props for the "tank".  They call it a "gas storage tank" -- right?   I'm working on a re-lot of some dry stone walls for somebody or I'd look myself -- but if you find something, let me know.  :thumb:

I went looking through my old photos I had of SC4 and I found this picture.

Hey guys! It's me again. I don't know if really there is something like that, but I'm looking for bus stations like that. I see some GLR stations, but I think, after 13 years of game, we have the technology to do that for buses.brt-basics.jpg

 

And yes , I know than in real life, we have stations lateral platform, like that, but central platform stations wastes less space then central ones.12468-003.jpg

There have been advances into implement a BRT in Simcity 4, particularly by the NAM team; although, there is no development at the point of making a dedicated central BRT lane.

An option to make one is to use HOV filters and RTMT bus stops with conventional roads between one way roads. Sure, that implies a 3 tile wide way (45 meters width), and does not include a central platform.

To do such platform, a transit enabled lot would be required, and traditionally they were avoided for causing CTDs. Now, a DLL fix has been published for that and its probable that transit enabled lots would make a return, but it's all depending on mod developers. Maybe you can do that!

I often use this to create BRT Lanes, but it takes too much space for a station that should be compact, and it always look like the second image. It's real looking, but too boring.

We have advances with BRT in SC4, like elevated stations, the RTMT stations, but the next step is to do some central platform stations. I don't think really implementing the central lane BRT's is necessary at this point. But I can see some moves in this way, with the NAM 34, where there's eyecandy HOV Lanes for RHW-C Lanes

I, too, would be VERY interested in this "sand pile" -- ESPECIALLY THE ELEVATED CONVEYOR SYSTEM !!!

I found something similar to that sand pile.....

 

It probably came from the LBT prop pack that's been replaced with this......

 

Then there's this little gem if y'all haven't picked it up......

 

I don't know how well y'all are with the lot editor (not that great at it myself) but I'm sure something could be whipped up!

I wouldn't say TE lots are avoided due to the CTD problem, every station you see on the exchanges is a TE lot after all. Not to mention the huge number of TE'd lots you find for non-transport items, many of which unnecessarily TE'd too I'd argue. I wouldn't say TE lots were ever avoided, but they do have some fundamental issues if not modded correctly. This is really very complex, since the whole TE system is very flawed in terms of it's implementation.

The thing with BRT is that the game doesn't really allow us to make such a network easily, it's why you've never seen bus lanes, something that's very common in Europe, either. The GLR-in road systems are actually just a ground-based Elevated Rail train. You could replace the trains with bus automata, retexture the network to fit better (no rails for a start) and then make stations for such a network. That's a big amount of work to pull off, even for one of these networks only. Not to mention, you'd have buses on your elevated rail networks. However that would be the easiest way to make this work, since I guess BRT sort of replaces trams, rather than complementing them?

YES -- !! 

That's it.  I'm not sure this will be of any use to me -- but I'll give it a whirl and see what comes out. 

I'm desperate to find some way to move coal over long distances -- as well as lifting it off the ground to put it into trucks, ships, or rail cars.  Right now -- all I have is a crane.  I need some way to make hoppers, dumpers, and conveyor belts out of available props.

I haven't looked -- but I fear the coal tailings pile will have the conveyor "baked" into the lot model rather than placed as a lot prop.
