A few oddities I've found while developing the suburb of Bakerville. (Pop. >16,000).

Note to self: Fire engineers.

Well, Back To The Future 2 predicted the future right. Flying cars do exist.

Isn't that cul-de-sac actually a lot? If yes, that's explainable (although in fact an oddity thanks to bad modding), since with lots, any kind of traffic at an adjacent traffic route doesn't mind jumping to the side of a road/track unless you modify the lot in a way that such a thing can't happen.

Actually, that makes total sense. There is no arrow going back so those two sims work in that subway station. Of course, nobody uses it so they must get reeeaaally bored.

Yeah, I guess they do work there. But why bother climbing the stairs, stepping onto the street, then back down the stairs to assume their post? :boggle:

Here this one, lone pedestrian seems to have a lot of errands today:

Jamil, I know these are levitating trains, but they need an actual surface to levitate on! Yes, that means you have to get your engineers and go fix that hole.

Chemical industry is very popular in town! Seems that these lots like to grow like mushrooms as soon as I create any industrial areas.

As if my sims do not know where to put extra industrial equipment as the warehouses are currently "full." Yes, this is an actual problem with my current tree controller. I am not sure which prop pack is causing this problem so far. *sigh*

Don't know if you solved it, but if not, I've recently had that issue. I opened a post and found the solution. Your problem is probably from  PEG Mayor Mode Construction Site Props 1 MMP's, good luck! ^^

Tried to get a screenshot for the challenge but ended up with this mess instead. I think I was doing some plugin folder management a while back and forgot something... Guess that's what happens when you haven't launched the game in a while.

Now featuring automata textures for trees and minimap for RHW segments! :???:

Prolly Jamil's. He's in charge of transportation. In my game I noticed his civil engineering degree was all written in crayon.

Well, it seems I've replicated @kingofsimcity's oddity with automata textures replacing terrain ones. check by yourselves my expansive prairies of ¿wagons?

5XNQsMY.png

For future reference, this was caused when using the trackpoint to scroll down on a menu (the oversized misc transportation, of course) and having the game forcefully minimized. When maximizing again, there appeared only two squares framing the quais lots with trees (they are seasonal and should have appeared before because of that). When the rest of the image showed, I got this, but strangely, the automata textures change with zoom levels.

I'm assuming this is only a graphic glitch, but my paranoical inner voice shouted "save a backup before doing anything stupid!", so I'll save the tile safely :D

EDIT: saving the game, minimizing it normally and going fullscreen again resolved the issue, it wasn't even necessary to reload the city tile.

I don't know what this is but it's costing me $200 a month in maintenance fees

If I were to guess (and I am guessing) I'd say it's a very, very large water bed. The costs are prolly so they can save up to build some walls around it and later add a roof.

I like how the game lists the employer as Retired. No doubt that's a great company to work for

None or n/a would of been the more logical thing to do. But as much as I love the game as we can see from the images in this thread sometimes logic & simcity go together like oil and water
