But i'm having a problem with props in lot editor as you can see, and i think it is realted to LODs. And i have a question: Do LOD 3, LOD 4& 5 have to be the same form? or they can be different? i mean LOD 3  a cube and LOD 4&5 a pyramid for example, because i'm not sure how to interpretate the LODs part of @SimFoxtutorial:

You can do this by either pressing Automatic LODs button in LODs roll-out, or LOD3 button if you need custom LOD. Once you have finished editing the LOD3 click on LOD4&5 to finish LOD setup.
One word of caution: go lightly on LODs remember that they should be as simple and low poly as possible so to not overburden the game’s ancient 3d engine "....

Good morning or good afternoon to some. I’m back from a loooong hiatus.

Boy, it’s been a while… I hope at least some of the SC4 team still remembers me. 

I’d like to renew my activity in this fine forum and offer a sneak peak peek to what I’m up to. 

My current work-in-progress is the region of Stunt Island which is based on the original game of “Stunt Island” from the 90’s. The game was designed by Ronald J. Fortier and Adrian Stephens and it was an inspiration for this region. 

It will be a very special place with interesting landmarks and history. Perhaps even some unexplained phenomena... I definitely plan to make a very interesting CJ out of it.

The work, of course, is far from done. The cities and towns will take time to develop and that’s fine. But the flora… oh humanity… It will take years to plant greenery in this vast region. Unless you help me solve the problem I have…

I invite you to take a look at where the things currently are. Here’s a portion of Stunt Island, satellite view:



And here, you can see the crammed, busy capital. It’s designed rather poorly just like most American cities.

Hi everybody,

In the past few months I was working on my crashed HDD and the recovery of my SC4 back-up and also finished the first phase of the Project ZIP on LEX. Some of you might know about it, it was almost done by last Christmas, when my HDD chrashed and deleted most of my SC4 related files and folders after a windows update. I was able to recover most of the contents also it gave me the opportunity to revisit my work on Project ZIP. The main part (extraction from the installers) is already done, but fixing things and some other stuffs to make some part of the collection more user friendly will take some more time. Anyway, I really hope that in the next few months I/we manage to tie up all the loose ends and the files on LEX get their ZIPped versions instead of the installers.

In the meantime I started getting out some of my other fixing, updating and restoration projects of my way. I seriously started getting lost with the running projects. So during Project ZIP I found a few locked items on LEX and started revisiting them if they can be solved. Two of them is quite infamous, specially among the CAM users, since both the HKABT bixel Megapack vol08 and the CAM LOTs BXL1 lot pack were locked down for almost a decade because one of the lots (The Arch 1) was able to trigger the Immortal LOT Syndrome. After I spent some time checking the original model and lot files and comparing them to the CAM versions, I realized that the main issue was the model being offset, which therefore required a very precise lotting and modding. The original version of the LOTs here on STEX were totally fine, though in order to get the best result the model had to be "fixed". I took the model tweaker and made the model centered, then the Mega Pack got re-compiled with the fixed model and the lots have been adjusted according to these changes.

Today I uploaded the updated version of the 

HKABT bixel MEGA Pack Vol08

and the

HKABT BXL CAMeLots vol01-15 (CAM LOTS BXL1)

lot set, and both of them got UN-LOCKED. The lot set got an updated readme and supported by the Dependency Tracker also following the Project ZIP standards (no installer, nice folder structure etc...)

For the sake of consistency, I had to update the STEX version of the upload as well with the fixed model file and the adjusted lot files. More details on the download page and in the updated readme.

Since it's a pretty involved update, both with the CAM and non-CAM versions if you already had these lots in your cities, you must bulldoze them and re-plop or re-grow them, otherwise the building won't appear properly on the lots. Bear in mind you need to remove the old model and lot files as well. The updated model is not compatible with the old lots and the new model is mandatory for the CAM lots. If you won't plan to play with the CAM version, then you don't necessary to do the update, but highly recommended to start any new city/region with the updated version of the lots and model.

More updates on the way, but I try to finally get the Aras Saturn industrial and utility lots out of my way, since those seem to be the most wanted Polska files...

I reinstalled the drivers and the problem was solved.
