In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

(Harry Lime to Holly Martins...Graham Greene's THE THIRD MAN...1949)

I don't know if the color is right.

Maybe a bit too dark green for this species.

I don't know if the color is right.

I agree with "Membrillo"......

I think it should be a bit lighter -- a little more "Spring Green", perhaps.

What is good when you have nothing to say is that you can always pretend to listen. Anyway it does not prevent to think!

Hi guys. It took a while, but I've decided to finish the coal-and-ore port set. I am still struggling with the coal and ore piles, but making some progress. It's a modular set; most models sit on a 1x1 lot with overhanging parts. This allows road and rail to pass through. I will not be making them into megalots (I am not very good at making attractive large lots). I hope to release this on the STEX any time soon. And hope you'll like it!

THIS is OUTSTANDING work, Paulus -- !!!  *:thumb: *:thumb: *:thumb:

I eagerly look forward to downloading this set!  It has been far too long that we have waited for a detailed and comprehensive operation on this scale!  It makes me want to build a port around this set-up!

If I might not be too presumptuous -- to make a suggestion or two...... *:read:

(1)  Most coal ports or distribution centers usually work with smaller, rectangular, "row-piles" placed perpendicular to the "spreader tracks" -- maybe 2x5.  (At least in the pictures I've seen -- but not a hard and fast concept.  But it might make it easier to improve your texture on a smaller scale.)

(2) Coal and iron ore are GREAT choices -- but you simply MUST add bulk grain to the mix -- and possibly even gravel.  All items that are shipped in bulk -- especially in the Great Lakes region of the US.

ONE LAST ITEM -- WHERE did you get the bulk cargo ship?  This is perfect -- and I need to add it to my industrial port collection. *;)

WELL DONE - !  CARRY ON & GOOD LUCK -- !!

1. I'll take a look at those!
2. I think gravel will be part of the set, but not grain. I can't imagine grain being transported on belts and machinery as dirty as those in this set.. ;)
The ship is part of the set!
