A pretty conspicuous corner building for a large urban intersection. 940 Southern Blvd, Bronx NYC

This one will have pretty severe clipping issues.

Perhaps someone who knows how to alter the shape of LODs may be able to help out. It's a massive prop set on a 2x2 lot. So I'd be converting the square to an L shape. But I'm not sure how to alter LODs, and til then it will sit in my junk drawer until I can figure it out. However IRL there's just woods behind it anyway!

Hope to get it out one day.

Right click, and go to "Unhide all objects" (or something like that). That will unhide all of the hidden objects in the scene, including the LODs. Then you can just delete the old ones and make new ones. LODs are normal objects, they just have the names of LOD5, LOD4, and LOD3. You can use polygon modeling or extrude splines or whatever modelling methods you want to use to make the shapes you want. The main thing to be careful about is that these are the actual 3d objects that appear in the game, so you want to make them detailed enough that they nicely hug the silhouette of the buildings enough to avoid clipping with neighboring buildings and props, while still keeping the polygon count of the LODs low.

@rsc204 .. Wow ..really !!!! This is not a joke? It's fantastic! How long will we have to pretend to be secret? *;)

  • Yes 1

What is good when you have nothing to say is that you can always pretend to listen. Anyway it does not prevent to think!

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

Actor James Mason played the head of security Seibert for the post-WW2 Nazi ratline ODESSA organization, in The Boys from Brazil. Many years prior, he played Field Marshall Erwin Rommel in The Desert Fox, to date, the only movie made about an enemy combatant. *:D

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

"Well, Jack -- you just won 6 days and 7 nights in the lovely Sundowner Resort in the Bahamas -- or -- you can trade that for what's behind Door #2!!"

I have seen "Boys From Brazil" a few times, but not nearly as many times as "The Desert Fox".  And you are correct -- he is the ONLY former enemy commander to have a movie dedicated to him.  That is, I think, largely due to the fact that he fought his war by the "Old School Rules" -- and in the end -- his moral scruples cost him dearly.   As a former "tank-man", I have great admiration for the Field Marshall's aggressive tactical skills and his sheer audacity.  And James Mason's performance in that movie made him one of my favorites -- even when he plays villains like Phillip Vandamm! *:D

Love, some of any Bat´s present being combined into a larger pack where posible. Some more of these packs could be made like sample Simgoober Narrrow and CAL Canals, RIMP Airport pack or any of the megaprops combined installed in this way instead of seperate !

Sincerely yours,

Kschmidt

Sadly no, because a small number of people who basically get to decide on whether or not they would allow it, refuse to budge on the matter. Sad, because I hope when people see the final product we're working towards, it will really show just how much more accessible we can make content like this.

No one in their right mind would put the work into a project like this, without permission established at an early stage. Anyone who thinks that the work has to come first, is either sadly mistaken as to the realities of such efforts or has some agenda they are are pushing instead. But this isn't the place to rake up that discussion, it's been going nowhere here for five years.

Just three more houses along Daveth Road and I will have a nice row of architecturally similar buildings. I know modders are working on a "row house" mod similar to how we use Building Styles but for now I'm doing it the old fashioned way, as a sort of mini-game. 621ceea10245b_Muscrow20simcity4.jpg.c26ed3127c1de6591ca247a7bc55bbb7.jpg
