Some Trenton NJ inspired prewar rowhomes. Will do some recolors and finishings, these are FA2/ortho versions. May rework the model of the FA version to be more wtw if I can get the LOD right (still struggling with that)

They sit on a 2x1 lot due to real life sizes

I'd love to model some more in this style if anybody has requests or suggestions :)

@Sloppyjoemess What sort of ideas would you like and what is the best way or place to make suggestions (since I don't want to derail the thread)? From my architectural studies, I have quite a few longstanding ideas for townhouses and rowhouses (including both orthogonal and real-life diagonals/fractional angles) from my hometown in Richmond, Virginia and next-city-over Washington, D.C. If desired, I can try to get you photos, measured footprints, etc.

I've been trying to fill the void of diagonal and fractionally angled content for quite some time. The maser plan is that I've been modelling the acute corner situations first, specifically FA to ortho connections, and then I'll work on filling in the rest.

As for rowhomes, I'm not opposed to doing some as they don't take very long to model and recolor, but please note that I am very bad at lotting. I've never gotten anything up on the exchange. So if I can get you finished models and you can get them on lots then power to ya. Haha

You can DM me about the rowhomes you'd like done, I'd love to see and I'm all ears.  You don't have to go too crazy with measurements as Google Maps makes it quite easy to measure sizes generally within the foot. Just an address or link will do just fine and we'll go from there.

Cheers

Yo, guys --

A bit off-topic, here......

Can anyone "PM" me with a brief description of -- (1) the differences between "Maxis Night" and "Dark Nite" -- (2) The effect "DN" would have on "MN" lots -- and (3) Is it possible to run them simultaneously?

I'm considering running "Dark Nite" -- but not if I'm going to have to start over from scratch.

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

Admire your effort to ceaee some wonderfull content for the fractioniol angle Bat;s, There;s a lot of available but stille some good variety of on every level, always welcome. Specialy I would love to see some more development on fractional fillers. Some are there but sill there remain situations you would like to have that last fill wich isn;t covered by the in game or any sidewalk mod filler.Great work looking forward to more !

SM2 Fire Station 44 is now online here.

Love the fire station!  Well, all your work really.   Would you be able to let me know what buildings these are and where you downloaded them?  The W2Ws with the staircases in the back.

If you want, show me some spaces you'd like to fill in an I'll see what I can come up with.

Drop some screenshots! I want to see the situations.

I've been wanting to work on more unconventional lots like curved junkyards, corner/diagonal strip malls, gas stations..... little filler pieces you can set down and forget about.

I make them this way, I draw out the parcel then model within the constraints

My latest NewCity diary entry. I'm having a lot of fun with trying (and failing) to get the CBD to develop.

Impresive, great, airport ! Double size I created in Mayon region sometime ago. Real working hard to beat, at least there´s some business space available to make it more likely. Up left that´s a FAR runway or diagonal ? Low commercial, low residential and agriculture or forest area to come, well done  !

Thank you, well I will look into it iff I can find any samples. Mostly that is the space close to FAR and Curves wich is reserved by the model. Buildings diagoanal and FAR need a square to plop, so a wider overlay sidewalk template wich covers all sides of the road and crossings. This may become little complicated as you will need to have several sets like concrete, sandstone, bricks, etc to have every need available !

Sincerely yours,

Kschmidt

This... This is awesome! Suddenly SC4 no longer looks like a grid-based game!

I for one STRONGLY recommend any and all ideas you have for junk-yards, corner shops and gas stations which fit in for FA/Orthogonal intersections and corners. Possible inspiration may come from SFBT's highway fillers, in particular the fillers which maintenance depots, shops and junk yards.

SM2 Brass Stamping Co grow version is now online here

The plop version will follow soon. It will be 5x4 with a built in STR rail spur.

Here is a version of it.

Very, very dirty... Nicely done! Would blend in well with those junk yards and garbage disposal facilities you built because they have the same filthy concrete textures.
