The bottom parts, if they are overhanging, will be hidden under the surface."

I have not yet been able to create a lot with that configuration, when I plop it always flattens the ground. *:???:

Set both the LotConfigPropertyMaxSlopeBeforeLotFoundation (starting with this slope a lot flattens the terrain) and the LotConfigPropertyMaxSlopeAllowed (up to which slope is possible for a lot to plop) to a high value (angle in degrees) - preferably 90, because this should technically allow you to place a lot on any slope.

When Gmax scenes start crashing repeatedly, just import the whole lot (minus LODs, TB2 Camera, Thumnail, etc into a new scene). Also, perhaps take a look at this gmax model made by j_portland many moons ago:

He uploaded it as a kind of working tutorial to show you how to get neon effects using gmax and it is a good visual tool for using omnis, spots etc and tweaking the parameters to get a more sophisticated effect from good old gmax.

Ah, a bit of reverse engineering for the neon effect, nice thinking. Seeing it right there in Gmax should be a big help, thanks again Matt... Funny you mention that sign, I was scouting buildings in that exact same neighborhood it's at.

PS I like the apartment

SM2 Deepwater Oil Terminal is now in the game.

These type of oil terminals are usually moored many miles offshore in order to avoid coastal environment contamination in case of an oil spill.

1 or 2 30 inch pipes connect the terminal to on shore oil depots in order to either fill or offload tankers.

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

First stab at a reward building; will be the Advanced Propulsion Laboratory.  Goal is to provide high end civic jobs and boost I-HT.  On that note, is there any good guide out there on properly modding rewards?  Otherwise was going to experiment with existing rewards but it would be awesome if everything didn't crash as a result of me not knowing what I'm doing. advproplab_draft.jpg.4e18f93ea53154fea6972af20903a967.jpg

This is the coolest boulder I have ever seen! So natural and so earthy! I could almost touch it.

I like the leaves and debris on it. Would be cool to have a tree controller for leaves and trash, or at least mmp brushes. The world is not a clean place.

Currently, I'm resurrecting and  reduxing a few select maps from years ago.

First, gmax corrupted the Advanced Propulsion Lab.  Next, I realized I had a shortage of cosmopolitan W2W food courts and I love adding signs in other than Roman script.  So I started this thing.  If any of the names on the signs don't make sense, let me know ... I can barely speak English, let alone those languages on the signs.
