WORK IN PROGRESS --

THE JADE BIGHT II -

SCHILLIGHORN:

(Click to make bigger.)

Yo, guys --

Finished my first city in the new region -- trying to cut down on heavy forests -- work with some JENEX stuff -- more emphasis on creating / modeling some new terrain features:

The town of Schillighorn --

The MMPs along the coast look soooo legit. Great stuff.

Really nice animations - I love the natural growth style that has been picked up. Really pretty!

1 looks better to me, because both curves seem more similar between them. Of course, knowing the traffic on both of them, it could be justified that one could be smaller than the other.

Which rail setup looks better?

I would go with #2 , less symmetrical but still has functionality .

@tankmank I love the animation of growth on the region , nicely done . :thumb:

@simmytu That region is coming along well . I see it has attracted several likes . :thumb:

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

@Dreadnought Awesome! Great work with the fillers and freight station around the power plant – they blend so well that if I didn't recognize them, I would say that they all looked like one big lot! Also, the MMPs around the steam locomotive washing station look superb.

If I may, what are the tall skinny pine trees that you use? (For example, the ones to the right of the steam locomotives in the third picture)

@_Michael Wow, I like those buildings. Some of them I know but there are few of them which I don't know. What are those buildings what I put into a red circle on my attached picture? Nice work anyway :)

Yo, guy --

I seem to remember downloading a whole mess of trees as the dependencies for the Meadowshire Tree Controller.  Unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea which prop pack they came in. :???:

I do know they are called "Lodgepole Pine Forest" and they are by Cycledogg.

Wish I could be more help.

Thanks for the pointers! It seems they're in one of his mega prop packs, so I guess I already have them.

@Tyberius06 The train station is the Gare d'Orsay by xannepan (LEX): https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2656

Unfortunately I don't know the others.

The wedge-shaped building on the right is the JENEX Louis Vuiton building.

The monument on the far left is the Kaiser Wilhelm Nationaldenkmal.

Working on this new city. Loads of ideas for it, so I hope it turns out well. What do you think? (Ignore the garbage and abandonment issues. ;) )

Wow. Is there a special trick to get the river this accurate, looking like a a canal made with razor blade - is it the map or did you do this with terraforming brush?

where did kelistmac get the Tokyo Skytree?.

My guess is one of his Spanish friend, possibly the same guy who created several other Japanese buildings for him.

Loved those farms @metasmurf, your attention to detail is impressive! Only one question: those crops are dry farming or you plan to add irrigation canals?

@metasmurf  Those farms look great . May I ask how you don't have dirt sidewalks along the farms ?

@raynev1 I use the file A0_Transparent_Earth.dat from this package by rivit. It also removes the dirt texture on railway.

@matias93 Irrigation canals aren't used here as far as I know, but don't take my word for it as I'm not an expert. From what I've seen, if there's not a natural source like a creek, ditches are used. These are often overgrown with bushes and weeds, like this:

X51xi5k.jpg

I could do something like this, but it would take lots of time,  MMPing and terraforming,. It's also hard to do since my region is pretty hilly, and the shapes of the farm fields are irregular.
