I think you need a little more help with this than just blind searching. There are a lot of maps that are simply unplayable, stunning, but unplayable. Check out Digby, Gotham and Lamont on the STEX and I think you will be satisfied.

Have always been a big fan of simcity but have always disliked the sims games. It is of course personal preference, but I prefer the strategy and city building than just playing around as a sim.

Ecole de Design Vert de Fantaisie (School of Fancy Green Design)

Hi, well done on your first BAT I like the smaller buildings, but the stonework of the larger University-like building doesn't blend in with them. The different paving textures are off-putting and the tarmac road in the middle is just not right. Very promising start, but a little more continuity would make this a definite for me. I like the idea of stimulating college and University demand too. I guess the idea is to stimulate wealth and high tech industry? -
Deciduous vs Evergreen - When To Use Which
cardiomonkey replied to ROFLyoshi's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Do I have to render the region again (even if it is currently blank with nothing, i.e., vegetation) or as long as it is fresh and clean, so to say it is ok? Yes, levels of terrain definitely have an affect on the vegetation, but after a lot of testing I like the AErden, but it misses a lot of the reds (they only appear at very high altitude) where the only growth would be small conifers and spruces. You can just exchange terrain mods without problems. Most of my regions have seen several different ones. There's sometimes the odd height difference in region view, but that does not affect function and will vanish as soon as you saved every tile with the new mod at least once. If you mean tree controllers, even in that case you can switch, as long as you keep the MMP's for the old trees. I have a region that has mixes of Maxis tree cover, forests made with the PNW tree controller and others with the Cascadia one. Just keep the MMP's, and you're good. Great, answered my question really. I think I will give Cascadia a shot, only a couple of more dependencies I need to get then. Cool Thanks All. -
Deciduous vs Evergreen - When To Use Which

I am also using AErden, but the diversity is somewhat lacking (especially when it comes to the reddish trees). So I guess my extra question would be Cascadia and what terrain mod works best together? Thanks. -
OK. Thanks for the tips. I guess I was looking for the lazy mans way out, something that I can just toggle when needed. At least with the extra dll cheats I can get to an exact date when needed. I have to test my tree controller and all of my seasonal trees again, will try that tonight, but what I am aware and my experience (as long as I am not kidding myself), the plopping of seasonal trees is dependent on when they are put in. Thanks again

After a ton of googling I am not sure this exists so thought I would ask here. Is there a mod/way to get the time to stop on a particular date? For example, if I am playing along and forget myself and my time a little and I want to plant some more seasonal trees on 1st September I would like the game to auto-pause on that date. Just a thought, maybe it is not possible or feasible, but I can see some function by being able to toggle when needed an auto pause at a specified time.

For me I found that file was corrupt and didn't work. I think there were a couple of others too that reported the same thing.

Yes, the installer seems different than usual, but it has all worked out! Thanks so much for your help and also the VIP team.

I am trying to get these individual .dat files to complete my dependencies for the Aerden Tree Controller. They are from the VIP Team. Or_VIP_Corylus.dat Or_VIP_Narcissus.dat Or_VIP_Populus.dat R6_VIP_IrisDesMaraisSaisonniers.dat Vnaoned_VIP_Fougeres.dat VIP_VV_Trees_Props.dat VIP_Or_Aesculus_Props.dat VIP_Or_Fagus_Props.dat I have located and downloaded the relevant packs, but with all of my .exe extractors (Filejucier, Unarchiver and Keka) they don’t extract the files, fatal errors are given as the reason. Even though on the VIP read me they say file juicer should work, it doesn’t. I use Wine ordinarily, but with these .exe files they want to stay in Wine (they need a drive folder). I usually trick the “install” and take that drive need away and a new folder is created that I can then directly access and then move my files into my plugins folder. A sweet trick I found. 99% of all .exe files work for me in that way, but these don’t want to play ball. Is there any other way I can get these few .dat files? Such a small number of files. Thanks for any help or advice.

I am new to simcity 4 and I can honestly say I have probably spent more time downloading, learning and troubleshooting (especially as I use mac) than actually playing the game. I am just trying to get a tree controller to work right now, had the last downloads done but still get a couple of brown boxes (more hours troubleshooting and testing). Now I have decided to just start playing, forget any new ways to enhance the game (apart from some new stunning BATs that will come out) and basically do what I want and that is play, not fiddling with my plugin folder.

That really is quite staggering when you think about it. For one game to get 100million downloads of mods on just this site alone is amazing. The STEX is simply addictive and the possibility we may get some "surprises" in the next few weeks is massively teasing.

any cheat to fix pollution?

This is a much better mod for getting lots of cash immediately. The trees do come generally with some issues. -
any cheat to fix pollution?
cardiomonkey replied to michaeldcannaday's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Wow, I don't have an answer to this problem, but that is some mighty pollution. However, as T Wrecks said, do you have any cheats, LOTs or BATs that are supposed to deal with pollution and are these of a more radical nature?
