  1. Tribute to A Nonny Moose

Oh that's a shame, I haven't been on here in a few months. But Nonny Moose was always one of the few members I remember, whenever I had a SC4 problem he was always one of the first to respond with help.
  2. Can't find it?... Ask here!

This one will be a long shot, but I guess I'll try. Does anyone possibly have a link to this aircraft, or can provide me with the files via email? I have looked everywhere but the original site seems to be the only place with them, and it's been dead for years - http://nonred.exblog.jp/6943518/ Please help.
  3. Urghh...stop making Skylines Mods and get back to SC4 - Go On! MUSH!!!

@Mister Giggles: I think you mean whiny, unless the horse reference was intentional.

I'd like more SC4 mods, too, but until I can make them myself I won't complain...too much.

  4. ITS Office Parks - Lakeside Place

Thank you for relotting this. The original was always ruined by the sub-par lotting, but this version is great. Will definately be relotting my placement of this building now.
  5. april 1st Prop Pox Exterminator

Hehe, fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...
  6. Go away Skylines, I'm sick of you. Want all attention on SC4 again.

  7. Cities Skylines review: This is the SimCity you were looking for

Nope, sorry but this still looks too cartoony for me. I like the realistic look of SC4 and the ability to play completely sandbox ('cheat') right from the start. I'm not even remotely interested in things like managing budgets or mayor popularity, I just want to design really cool looking, functional cities.
  8. EA Shuts Down SimCity Developer Maxis

EA would later still impose their obsession with DRM and all-multiplayer aspects into Simcity. Publicly I didn't hear any objection from Maxis either, hence they sold out imo. It didn't take a genious to realise that was going to fail big time. I always despised "The Sims" series tbh, as it seemed to suck all of Maxis's attention away from making new "City" games (with it's endless and pointless expansions).
  9. EA Shuts Down SimCity Developer Maxis

They deserve to go imo, Maxis completely sold-out their future by allowing EA to take over. I mean what did they expect? EA consumes all, it's the game publisher equivalent of the Borg. The SimCity 2013 monstrosity was the final straw as far as I'm concerned. They clearly had no interest in making a proper sequel to SC4 so good riddance to them.

Yus! I made the list. But I guess I need more detail for first place.
  11. Zenebach

Replies:   Akerbeltz - Thanks, hopefully it won't take me a year to update this year. Rikujo - I see, I'll look into it. andisart - Thanks for the awesome building, it's beautiful and I've always wanted to use it in one of my cities. It was very tricky giving such a building an appropriate surrounding. Callesson - It's the Stanley park sea wall set - Link :)
  12. Zenebach

Oh blast, why have you forsaken me Photobucket! I'll really have to remember to jpg my images in the future, I normally use png's cause they're better quality. I'll try uploading them again with another hosting site. EDIT: re-uploaded to another site, will work now. :]   Replies: TekindusT - Thank you. Yes I've definitely gotten better since my last two, even though at the time I thought I had reached my pinnacle. I'm not sure I can go much better than this but I'm certainly gonna try. v701 - Believe me, my first cities a few years ago were absolute rubbish - Maxis stuff everywhere. Even though perfection may not exist, I will still keep reaching for it (in-vain). :P Kim Sunwoo & Ln X - Thanks, I could maybe use a few more. Although personally I'm not a huge fan of them since you don't get to see much. Schulmanator - Thanks Cat-dude :P It took me a year (on-and-off) to finish this one. 47pl - Glad you noticed. A lot of trial and error went into making the water areas, as I just don't think the fake water looks right for rivers. 1131989 - Just the look I was going for, thanks heaps. :) Wallibuk - I mostly kept it European. However the nation Zenebach is set in (Neu Westfalen) is a former south-Pacific colony (like New Zealand, but German), so it should have a little bit of other influences. michae95l - That's great to hear. Happy to inspire others with my cities. :) MilitantRadical - Thank you. I love doing modern cities, the hardest part is getting the waterfront looking right. Once that's done it's just a matter of keeping the building scale, style and colours correct, and of course, adding enough green space (but not too much). jmsepe - Thanks jm, I will of course keep posting here as long as I'm still playing the game. Map Guy - Thanks dude. This is easily the nicest city I've ever made, really happy with the way the waterfront turned out. Prophet42 - A green city is a healthy city, and a nicer place to live :P You should see the pollution-map, it barely registers. MrGovernor - I'm glad you managed to find some anyway, thanks for the 10 :) nos.17 - Yeah I tried to get cars in the shots, but couldn't seem to get a lot (I assure you it's a 'real' functioning city though). Can you recommend a specific traffic generator? I'm not too familiar with them.
  13. Zenebach

Welcome to Zenebach, a beautiful alpine city nestled in the heart of Neu Westfalen Population: 525,711 Zenebach is the capital of the state of Zeddenick, and the third largest city in Neu Westfalen. A city of just over half a million inhabitants, it lies along the western spine of Neu Westfalen's alpine divide. located along the southern bank of Lake Evehalden, Zenebach has long been a magnet for international tourists. Zenebach in Neu Westfalen, also shown is the capital Evelstadt. The city's iconic water fountain. You may remember Voss Arena from the 2014 AINVision held in the city, this 15,000 seat arena is also a newer addition to the city having been completed in 2010. The adjacent marina has existed since the city's founding in 1882 and serves as the largest mooring on the large alpine lake. Several smaller marinas have since sprung-up around the lake's inlet, reflecting a growth in the popularity of boating and water pursuits in the region. An old park and church located next to Arena Zeddenick and it's training grounds. A large parking garage and adjacent light-rail also serve the stadium and sounding areas. The old Germanic bridge still crosses the river that feeds the lake. It is a popular spot for tourists to take photos and 'selfies'. Zenebach's city park is a significant area of greenery that serves as a relaxation/break spot for the busy employees of the surrounding downtown area. Underneath it lies the large parking complex of the Alverna Spire. The city council building (with the blue, glass roof) sits parallel to the downtown marina. The historic quarter is home to Zenebach's oldest church, musical and movie theaters. But still blends in seamlessly with downtown's newer structures. Central park is a sprawling area surrounding a large natural lake, it also functions as a barrier between the noisy city center and the residential buildings on the opposite side. The city's main library can found just below it. Some outer suburbs, small shops and manufacturing facilities. (Below) The Zeddenick State parliament building (center, parallel to the river) and HSR terminus (the large blue glass building below it). A small business and industrial zone on the other side of the river. (Above) The city's outer limits. (Below) A polytechnic university and convention center. The park strip in the middle divides the apartment blocks from the suburban houses. Zenebach University, sports facilities and surrounding dormitories. A bridge spans the entrance to the lake inlet. The large forest acts as a wind-break between the (sometimes very cold) lake breezes and the inner-city. Likewise the sheltered beaches it creates become excellent summer bathing spots. Some overviews of the city. Zenebach at night, I will make some more night-time images at a later date too. That's it for now, I hope you like Zenebach.
  14. Cities: Skyline is out to satisfy where SimCity couldn't

Meh, I don't get all the fuss about this game. It's definately better than Cities XL or Simcity 2013 but that's not exactly saying much. Sure it's big but so what, I want more than just scale. Time and time again they seem to forget about realism and go for a bland, semi-cartoony, generic look, nor have I heard anything about an equilvilant to MMP's. MMP's are what make Simcity 4 so awesome, if you have the skill you can make some really beautiful nature areas. By contrast this one just seems really generic (early days sure, but I doubt it'll look much better when complete). I wonder if there'll be any non-American building packs too? as I usually build European style cities. I just want to be able to do everything SC4 can do, but with better graphics. Is that so much to ask? Still waiting for the day I can play a city-builder that looks like this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mm7Bb55f-cA
