Yes, it is the original... It had previously been included on Peg's Legacy release. Just when you thought your Parks Menu couldn't possibly handle another item, here comes the... PEG Stream Kit. These single-tile wide stream sections will allow you to extend your water ways to virtually any part of your city. Ideal for winding down mountains and valleys, they also make a delightful addition to mid-town parks and residential areas. These streams were designed to integrate with the all of the trail park kits as well as the Pond Kit and the newly released Random Forest. However, they obviously can be used by themselves in any manner you choose. This kit has an increased ability to traverse hills and mountains. The Curve & Tee sections should be placed on level land. However, the Waterfall will conform to almost any height & degree of slope... and the straight sections are moderately slope conforming... suitable for descending gradual slopes. * This kit contains custom background sound effects that will put you right down in the forest. Turn off the music... and take a stroll along the creek. Its the next best thing to being there. ** This kit is also the first to incorporate the new "Style Plug-in Architecture" where new styles, such as water color, can be added at anytime (when available) without adding new items to your menus, or having to replace items already placed in your game. The first alternative style included in this kit as well as several addons that were created during the same time period. * All Stream sections are comparable to a standard small Green Park in most categories. The kit contains the following: 1. A 1x1 Straight Stream Lot. (§50/§2) * A simple winding section of the stream. 2. A 1x1 Curve Stream Lot. (§50/§2) * A simple bend in the river. 3. A 1x1 Tee Stream Lot. (§50/§2) * Useful for creating braches and forks in your stream. 4. A 1x1 Bridge Stream Lot. (§50/§3) * A straight section with a small wooden pedestrian bridge. 5. A 1x1 Stream to Pond Transition Lot. (§50/§2) * Allows your streams to empty out into your ponds. 6. A 2x1 Waterfall Lot. (§50/§3) * A scenic delight... and the best way to traverse heights. 7. A 1x1 End/Pool Lot. (§50/§2) * The perfect little hide-away... a small, secluded swimmin' hole to end a branchy of the stream or just tucked away where you want some privacy. The skinny dippers usually show up around noon time. 8. The Style-1 DAT file. ** This DAT contains the required style textures and must be placed in your Plugins folder. Optional future style plug-ins would replace this file. Installation Instructions: After unzipping the file, copy both .DAT files to your C:\My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins folder. Ta Da! That's it! ** Once installed, these lots will appear in the Parks Menu. Click Here for All Pegasus Productions Products on the STEX All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported. These are the original files as they were created. While this upload has been tested in the game and preformed as expected, issues may occur as a result of modding capabilities that existed at the time of development. I am curious, does anyone here watch a lot of gaming steams? Twitch and Youtube Live are the largest platforms out there. I haven't really come across any big streaming names / platforms that do SimCity 4 https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/SimCity 4 As you would assume, Cities Skylines is much more popular https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/Cities%3A Skylines How much interest would there be in doing more steaming for this game? I know some folks like @MandelSoft have done it in the past but nothing really long lasting. (https://www.twitch.tv/mandelsoft/videos/all) I was told recently that I should just pretty much stream SC4 any time I play it. While I think that's kinda excessive / low quality content maybe there is a demand for it? I dunno, thus why I started this thread.

Heads up: Turn off the music in SC3K if you plan to stream the game on Twitch

Just recently found out the hard way that the entirety of the original OST (not the songs introduced in Unlimited such as Sixth Floor, Electric City, etc. for whatever reason) is on Twitch's "no-go" list: Bleh.- 5 Replies

A large valley among the Cinder mountain range with raging whitewater rivers, a lake at the base of Mount Cinder and many elevations to challenge the city builder while still feeling natural with adequate flat land. All of my maps are hand crafted with loving care and designed with the city builder in mind. Let me know if you spot any issues and I would love to see any cities made on this map so shoot me a link or leave it in comments. Enjoy! Steam link http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=439110575 This color correction http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=417935657 looks amazing on this map. Some screenshots have this enabled. -

Welcome to Journey. +++ While I was looking for maps on the several different exchanges for SimCity 4 I came to the realization, there are no maps anywhere that fit all of my criteria. Things I need from a map: I need to be able to use diggers no less than 15 meters all over the map. My rivers cannot be too deep. My rivers cannot be too shallow. My regions cannot be absolutely flat, that is just boring. I need rivers everywhere so that ferries can be relevant. I need enough level(but not completely flat) ground so that I can have my very large cities (2 or more tiles large) Journey meets all of those requirements. +++ There are things journey is missing however, it is missing an ocean front and lakes. I ususally just use a pond kit or ploppable water for lakes, so that one is okay(for me). Can't do anything about an ocean on this map though(I usually don't like to make too much of the map covered in water, can't build cities on water.) This map is not real in any way shape or form BUT it is very playable. Inside of this .zip file you will find this readme, the 1281X1281(5X5 large tiles or 20X20 small tiles(for SC4Terraformer purposes))config.bmp and the Journey.SC4M file and a couple of screen shots. The instructions for install are in the readme. -
SimCity (2013) Videos, Streams, 'Let's Plays', Etc.
Haljackey posted a topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Hey guys, with the conclusion of the third and final closed beta test, I think now is a good time to make a thread for video-related content surrounding SimCity (2013). Discussion here will be based on video content released by both players and developers, and can includes formats like Youtube videos, TwitchTV streams, let's plays, etc. *Just before Closed Beta 2, Maxis confirmed it was ok to show video content from all closed betas publicly. Similar restrictions for the Dev. Beta applied after it ended. I'll start with mine... I did a stream for SimCity (2013) closed beta 3 during the 4-hour play window in a 'let's play' style. I'll just post part 1 here because it's quite long: Additional parts can be found on my TwitchTV page: http://www.twitch.tv/haljackey (and will be available on my Youtube Channel later) The last 10 mins of the 1 hour first closed beta test. (This was the first time I played the game) ...And here is a Youtube Video of one of the cities I made in the SC13 Dev. Beta: Additional videos can be found on my Youtube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/haljackey Anyways, hopefully you enjoyed them. Free free to post your own content and try to keep the discussion surrounding them constructive.- 14 Replies

What do you get if you toss the Pond Kit, the Stream Kit & the CDK into a paint mixer and let it run for an hour? Well, initially you get something that looks like a horrible Star Trek transporter accident !! But if you let that mixer run and extra hour or two, you eventually wind up with a viable means of transitioning the PEG Ponds & PEG Streams into the game's oceans... via the CDK. Adding the CDK in this fashion serves to mask a multitude of potential graphic sins & bugs inherent anytime props and textures go into the water. We will continue to pursue a non-CDK solution as well... but for those anxious to run their pond rivers and streams down to the sea, you now have a means to make it happen. Included are 4 new lots; a single CDK Stream lot and 3 CDK Pond lots (left, right & center). Streams are limited to a single tile in width but rivers made from the Pond Kit can be a wide as you want. These are CDK-OWW (Old Wooden Waterfront) lots and plop just like any other 2-tile deep CDK lot. They will appear in the Water Transportation menu along with the other CDK-OWW lots. Like most CDK lots, they have pricing & properties similar to a small plaza. To accommodate the fact that 92.3% of all CDK lots have a road running along their inland side, conditioned with the fact that 63.7% of all statistics are made up on the spot... these lots also have an appropriate Bridge-End modeled into their inland side. This will allow you to seamlessly continue any street/road/avenue you have running along your waterfronts. The transition lots are packaged into separate files; one for the Streams and one for the Ponds. After installing, you can easily remove one or the other if you do not use either the Ponds or the Streams. **These lots require the installation of the PEG CDK-OWW Development Kit Volume 1. Additionally, you should also have the Deluxe Editions of the PEG Pond & PEG Stream kits installed. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.
