  1. Post Modding Requests Here

Hello, people of existence. I was hoping that someone would be able to guide me how to retexture a flag mod. I'd like to add my own, fictional flag for a nation build I'm preparing for. In doing this, I would like to have a ploppable flag, as well as to replace the pre-existing flag textures in other buildings and what not, like the OFMN mod does. In my mind, it should be as easy as to replace one texture in an existing mod, or possibly create an override mod, but I don't know how to do that
  2. I really like the idea of this and I hope it wasn't abandoned. I tried making something like this myself as well, but little did I know that my visions would exceed my patience. Somewhere along the way, I got stuck and I didn't even know for sure what I was doing, so the project came to a halt. It's still on my PC though, should I somehow decide to get my shit together and finish it.

Thank you for your suggestions. I think I'll try CPT Italia Tree Controller and att a few complementary trees manually in game.

Good evening, Simtropolis. I am looking for a tree controller that would suit in Mediterranean climates. One that combines palm trees, sub-tropical/tropical flora together with deciduous trees and possibly even pines/cypress trees at higher altitudes. Preferably evergreen, as I do not like the transitions of seasonal flora. I did find a tutorial on how to create/edit tree controllers, but I feel like it would be a little too much for me to handle myself. Below are some links for the tutorial and some examples of the flora I'm looking for. Thank you in advance. Tutorial: How to make/edit a tree controller Trees: There are some good quality ones in LBT Mega Prop Pack vol.01 and MMP Mod for BSC MEGA PropPack - CP Vol2 (v1.0)
  5. A quick and possibly kind of stupid question for the ones more experienced modders than myself. See, I'm simply trying to edit a seawall for personal use and I want to be able to place it on the very cliff, i.e. the tile between the water and the land. Therefore I must be able to build on both land and water, and not either of them. How do I go about doing this? Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Can't find it?... Ask here!

A few years back I remember using 1x1 tile plaza lots that produced an extreme amount of power, water and garbage management. I've been looking for quite some time now and can't seem to find them. Anyone have any ideas? EDIT: Never mind, I finally found them.
  7. What comes to mind when you think about this country?

Hong Kong is a city in China. Please follow the rules. No cities, states, or provinces of any kind. Neither Hong Kong nor San Francisco are allowed. ...Ski Resort Malawi Actually Hong Kong is an independent country. http://gohongkong.about.com/od/travelplanner/a/hongkongcountry.htm "Hong Kong’s Basic Law, as agreed between China and Britain, means Hong Kong will retain its own currency (the Hong Kong dollar), legal system, and parliamentary system for fifty years. This means, for all practical purposes, Hong Kong is actually a separate country to China." Near Malaisya Northmen Lebanon

I'm looking for a mod that gives me the oppurtunity to build medium wealth suburbs that only consists of 1x1 tiled houses. I.e a mod which determines the size of low density residentials. I have the mod which blocks those huge mansions from growing, and I'm guessing what I'm looking for may be built in a similar way? EDIT: Just found out there's no way to start a city using 1x1 tiled residences only. Never mind my request.
  10. Thank you for your reply, it was most useful. Oopsie.. How clumsy of me x)
  11. Hey, Simtropolis. It's not often that I need to ask for help here, but this is one of those times when I don't really know what to do. So, as seen on the picture below, the southern part of each city border shows a texture problem I've never ran into before. So should anyone have any ideas on what causes this and what I can do to fix it I would be forever grateful. Just in case it is necesarry I'll post my PC specs as well. Processor: AMD A10-5800K APU with Radeon HD Graphics 4.20 GHz Ram: 8 GB System: Windows 7 64 bit Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 7660D

I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but this map doesn't really belong on the STEX. Considering what most other uploaded maps looks like, this one is just way out of Simtropolis' league. It's good you're trying though.
  13. Terre Haute

That railway bridge is beautiful. Is it avaliable for download, and if so, may I ask for the name of the bridge?
  14. Fargoland

I hate to say this, but I've seen better looking city journals. When taking pictures of your city, make sure to minimize the HUD panel, and hide the UDI icons as well as any undeveloped zones - or better yet, give the city time to grow, so that there are no more undeveloped land to hide from the picture. If you do that the result would become... better, but still not that good. Take a look at some other journals to find some inspiration, and take a few rounds around the STEX and the LEX at SC4Devotion.

I assume this map wasn't made in SC4Terraformer...?
