  1. Raven Bay

    Version 1.3

    16,011 Downloads

Raven Bay is the last map in a series of five that I set out to do for Cities Skylines. This is a European themed map. It has a rather large, open flat area for building a gigantic, sprawling city. It has plenty of resources with oil being the exception due to it's hideous color. Set amidst a small mountain range this coastal map has vibrant farmland, one large flowing river, a fully laid out highway system with interchanges and a full rail system. I wanted to create the vibe of a large interconnected European Costal city. For those new to the game. There are several areas that have highway off ramps acting as roads. These are just placeholders to show where the roads can go. You can choose to upgrade them where they are to any other type of road or just bulldoze and make your own. (Note) Upgrading to the largest wide avenues might affect some treelines. They were drawn in using the highway width as a guidelines so most roads shouldn't affect the trees. Steam link : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=451151642 To install the map: 1. Download the zip file. 2. Unzip the contents to the folder: AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Maps 3. Play! This Color Correction http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=417935657 is used in a few screenshots. The Moving Sun mod http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=420230361 was also used on some screenshots I also recommend http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=403798635 for unlocking 25 tiles. You can play without it but you'll miss out on quite a bit of the map. All of my maps are hand crafted with loving care and designed with the city builder in mind. Let me know if you spot any issues and I would love to see any cities made on this map so shoot me a link or leave it in comments. Enjoy!
  2. Crescendo Cove

    Version 1.1.0

    4,797 Downloads

Crescendo Cove is a map I designed specifically for myself to build on. I wanted to build a map with a little bit of everything but flat and open enough to build a gigantic metropolis. There are roads and rail leading straight up to mountain sides, these are intended to tunnel through to other areas of the map or just a shortcut. Feel free to run them however you like but beware, the terrain is built around the road and rail network in a few areas and if you delete a section it may never go back like it was again..) Steam link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=467920036 Remember to review if you like! Support your modders and artists! This will probably be my last map for quite awhile. Thanks for all the positive feedback on all the other ones and enjoy! To install the map: 1. Download the zip file. 2. Unzip the contents to the folder: AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Maps 3. Play! If you want non European buildings to grow, there is this now. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=456408505 or check out his theme by districts beta, great stuff! These mods were used in some or all of the screenshots. The Moving Sun mod http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=420230361 The Road Color Changer mod http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=417585852 The No Pillar mod http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=409073164 f I also recommend http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=403798635 for unlocking 25 tiles These modders created all or parts, or provided inspiration for the highway assets that went into making this. 4. Devilspine Canyon

    Version 1.0

    9,769 Downloads

Devilspine Canyon is a map with many elevation challenges but also a few areas for a rather large sprawl. It has beautiful vistas, waterfalls, creek beds, towering bridges, lush forest land, tons of resources, long winding freeways and rail, all built with painstaking detail. Steam link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=445766639 IMPORTANT! If you use the Steam version of the map, you will need to subscribe to these tree assets for the full effect. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=429084748 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=418579973 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=418579675 If you choose not to, you will have a pretty barren landscape with just a few patches of default trees. Credit to Djelle on Steam workshop for making these. There are 232,086 placed trees on this map.. To install the map: 1. Download the zip file. 2. Unzip the contents to the folder: AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Maps To install the tree assets: 1. Download the zip file. 2. 6. Nightingale Pass

    Version 1.0

Nightingale Pass functions literally as it's name implies, as a Pass through the Nightingale Mountains. It offers many challenges to the city builder including elevation changes and some cramped quarters in certain areas. It has bountiful resources, wildlife, rushing rivers and beautiful mountain vistas! It also has fully interconnected highway, boat, rail, and plane systems in place. Steam link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=459967673 Or To install the map: 1. Download the zip file. 2. Thanks a lot! Glad you're enjoying it.
  8. Devilspine Canyon

Thanks Mr M! Right back at ya.
  9. The Shady Tree

    Beautiful work!
  10. Devilspine Canyon

You sure you have the files in the right place?   The specific file path for the map is, : Computer > LocalDisc (C) > Users > "Your name" > AppData > Local > Colossal Order > Cities_Skylines > Maps   For the trees,  : Computer > LocalDisc (C) > Users > "Your name" > AppData > Local > Colossal Order > Cities_Skylines > AddOns > Assets    I am still on Windows 7 but I assume 8's file structure should be very similiar.   I have ran in to the blank map bug before, not sure what causes it. It could be a faulty mod. Sometimes even restarting the game can help. I know the newest patch caused some issues with a few mods.
  11. Devilspine Canyon

Thanks!   I didn't know that about Köld. I used Kold as a handle for years but someone had taken it.  :lost:
  12. New map released Stex: Steam Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=445766639
  13. They are these conifers with updated textures. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=429084748 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=418579973 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=418579675 Wow, you do have a ton of trees. I'm sure I'll be using yours very soon. It actually is a pretty fun map, after playtesting a bit I was a little surprised that I had to pull myself away from filling the whole thing up. I would love to use any and all trees on any maps, I hope they add this soon as I generally don't like to release a map with required mods for obvious reasons. Thanks Ultimate727. Yes the game is not very canyon friendly in a number of ways. The smoothing required on this map was pretty tedious and time consuming.
  14. That map looks beautiful! Thanks! It's been a real challenge, the game hates canyons lol. The shady tree is pretty sweet too!
  15. Working on this map, which has been brutal and which halfway through I realized I needed conifer type trees, then realized that I started a temperate map... Hoping the patch will give me access to all the trees, which I doubt..
  16. Show us your Detail Shots

Some beautiful shots in here. I'm more of a map editor addict than city builder but I dig this shot.
  17. Cinder Mountain Valley

    Version 1.0

    5,316 Downloads

A large valley among the Cinder mountain range with raging whitewater rivers, a lake at the base of Mount Cinder and many elevations to challenge the city builder while still feeling natural with adequate flat land. All of my maps are hand crafted with loving care and designed with the city builder in mind. Let me know if you spot any issues and I would love to see any cities made on this map so shoot me a link or leave it in comments. Enjoy! Steam link http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=439110575 This color correction http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=417935657 looks amazing on this map. Some screenshots have this enabled.
  18. Show Us Your Water Falls!

Thanks! I agree, It's a real challenge making them natural, easier if you copy/paste height maps but those feel sterile to me somtimes.
  19. Show Us Your Water Falls!

Some waterfalls from some of my maps. I'm slightly obsessed with them as well.
  20. Fury Island

    Version 1.1

    5,898 Downloads

Fury Island has huge waterfalls, rushing rivers, lush forests and varied elevations to provide a challenge, although there is quite a bit of flat land to build a pretty massive city. This is my first map and went through quite a few variations but I'm pretty happy with the overall atmosphere now. If your computer can handle it, I recommend one of the unlock more tiles mods as there is something interesting on just about every tile. All of my maps are hand crafted with loving care and designed with the city builder in mind. Let me know if you spot any issues and I would love to see any cities made on this map so shoot me a link or leave it in a review. Enjoy! To install the map: 1. Download the zip file. 2. 21. Crater Lake

    Version 1.2

    6,378 Downloads

Crater Lake is a map vaguely inspired by the real Crater Lake in southern Oregon. Once I started making this map though, it took on it's own identity. It has a lot of open space for a sprawling metropolis yet has that 'hidden away from civilization island' vibe. Enjoy! To install the map: 1. Download the zip file. 2. Unzip the contents to a folder: AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Maps 3. Play! Steam link http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=436979174
