Nice intersections srawldaddy74! I think more on-slope transitions would make them even better--and I agree that tunnels under airports are relatively common. One from back in February from me: And a closer view from the opposite angle: The concept was to create an intersection with realistic scale, curves, and merging lanes in as small a space as possible. Utilizing flyovers instead of a more conventional A2 or B2 parclo layout gives a bit more space for the offramps and allows the next junction to be placed closer to this one without increasing weaving. The original concept was significantly more compact because it featured an avenue tunnel instead of an underpass, but I got frustrated trying to make the tunnel adjacent to the outside MIS's and gave up. I'm considering revisiting the interchange, possibly using FLUPs to save two tiles or even expanding the motorway from RHW4/6 to RHW6/8. Let me know what you think! My MD "Siilijoki" (SEE-LEE-YO-KEE [Finnish]) will likely be getting a Simtropolis edition soon.

I'll look into it a little further and see if I can figure anything out. FYI, I spoke to SimHotToddy about this problem and he essentially recommended the building plop method. As T-Rex did the lotting and modding he might be able to shed a little light on the matter.

I've had the same problem with those buildings, which is a shame because they are so beautifully done. I have the BSC Maxis-blocking for residentials (and everything else) but I still get them to grow only extremely rarely. The obvious way around it is to use the "building plop" cheat over an already-developed residential area of the same size--but plopped residentials are essentially functionless (no commute, etc). It would be great if anyone could shed some light on this. Perhaps some minor tweaking in the reader? I'm always a bit hesitant to start messing with stuff I don't understand well there though.

Great update, it really showcases your new lighthouse well. Also that's the best use of the lens flare/gradient flare effect I've ever seen (I'm normally not a big fan but it's just perfect there). @ Alejandro24 - I think those are from chrisadams on the BSC LEX--something to do with RRP (Rural renewal project)

Pretty great to have your first contribution be something so well-done as well as something that hasn't really been done (lighthouses). I was going to share my concern that it seems to glow during the day, but I assume that's from a "soft glow" effect on the image... I certainly hope to see more of your work. 5/5
