Advanced Lot Plop - new GUIs with DLLs
metarvo replied to CasperVg's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
I'm loving the new Plop and Paint! Terrain decal painting is going to fill so many gaps. One limitation I've noticed is that it only includes textures ending in 4, thus leaving out up to 2/3 of the textures in some sets, but it's nonetheless still a game-changer! Good work! -
Three League Island - Power for Aulton
metarvo commented on simmering's City Journal Entry in Aulton - Never Finished
Starting it off right! A well-developed power grid is one of the building blocks of a thriving city. The attention to detail as well as the overall scaling of the power plant are great! You've even got the other buildings such a facility needs. Well done!- 16 Comments

Apparently someone told Shattermore about a little dark secret in my past of having some breakable fun with some burned-out light bulbs that one time... I suppose I'll have to make it up to them by getting some lights there next December October.

I guess I've been too busy to rack up the big numbers this time but it was fun!

I'm not sure we have many (if any) maps of this oft-overlooked continent in-game but it is certainly a welcome addition to the SC4 globe. No doubt the future/potential settlement of this frozen landscape has been the subject of many a what-if scenario and now we get the chance to plan our own Antarctic settlement ideas. Well done!

Happy New Year! In contrast (and in addition!) to the usual party atmosphere of this night I find it also to be a night of reflection on the year that's passed and contemplation on the year that's starting. Although it's not much of a resolution I do mean to play this great game we call SC4 more this year, or at least more consistently.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Furr's on the list! While I never knew that they had supermarkets, the name's familiar because the company also had a very good buffet-style restaurant chain. I say "had" because sadly there aren't any these days. Supposedly before they went under they were going to convert all of their restaurants to the marketplace format which maybe would've combined the restaurant and supermarket concepts. Oh, what might have been... Nice upload PC!

Welcome back Roberta! I'm terribly sorry for your loss. Times like these are certainly the most heartbreaking part of a game and its community that have endured this long. It is beyond thrilling to see this mod back in development. As a player who pays a lot of attention (perhaps too much?) to my city electrical systems and who has witnessed first hand what happens in real life if a large amount of supply goes offline due to a weather emergency, brownouts and blackouts are going to be a welcome addition to the game.

Hmmmm... but Duke can't show up until after me.
-
Sure, let's do it! Then for Raynev next.

No, but maybe it could be time for TheMurderousCricket?

This time no. Raynev?

Not just yet... CaptCity?

This is a set of power pole models that will be used in Texas Steel-V Tower and Wood H-Frame power line set releases. A variety of rotations are included, and there are also numerous different types of models included for dead-ends and angles. Some of them are flat on the ground for construction. There are also banners with triangular plastic flags that are sometimes used to mark rights of way prior to construction but they can be used just to get attention, too. In addition, there are supplemental poles that can be used alone or to enhance the appearance of the Wood H-Frame poles, since these types of models don’t always show up well at more distant zooms. This is itself a dependency pack and needs no dependencies. -
@kschmidt There is currently FARR-3 STR in the NAM, which you can get by dragging orthogonal STR into the DTR Orthogonal to FARR 3 flex curve piece, found in the RealRailway FLEX FA pieces menu. This can also work by dragging diagonal STR into the Diagonal to FARR-3 flex piece if desired.
