  1. As I said at the workshop, fantastic work! I would love to see those paths but with concrete instead of the gravel.. to have options.. gravel for parks and rural areas and concrete ones for a more urban styled area. Keep the good assets coming!!
  2. Hi folks, I have a simple question really. When I go into the asset editor, and I try to modify buildings (add the backyards so the props used in them don't count in the prop limit), I find that every time I change the lot size, the little squares move forward.. so let's say I have a 1x2 lot, change it to 1x4, and what happens is that the building itself stays in the middle, and the squares go to the front. Is there any way to avoid this or to set the lot in a way that the footprint will be what I want it to be, but actually going into the back and not the front?
  3. Question about asset editor

Hey! So, yeah, I know where the option is and when I click it, it adds the square to the front regardless of it. Now, if I dont use that square, will that move the building away from the street? Like lets say I have a bunch of 1x2, and then change one of them to 1x3, with that one specifically be misaligned with the other ones?
  4. Hey fellas! Quick question.. let's say I go into the asset editor and modify a building, I save it, and I place it on my city.. Do I still need the original asset from the workshop? or by saving it Im already creating a version of my own which does not require the "base" or "original" asset to work? Thanks!!
  5. Great! Thanks! Also.. since we are here..? any special projects in mind? haven't seen anything from you in a long time.. I miss your projects!!
  6. Hello everybody! Thanks to our friend Vladimir (Vlasky) we now have our own subforum. I would like to invite anyone in here to comment and share whatever you guys want to... its open for everybody.. and of course its meant to inspire our team. I believe a City Journal should appear in some time as this should be release for everybody, but it is nice to have a little group first to have the first impressions, and to get a nice start off!! I invite everyone to post in here their own version of NYC... be honest, we all in here have one!! Without any further ado.. I welcome you all... Btw, Matt feel free to make an intro in your first post too! I didnt want to make the whole story again of what we are doing and stuff.. just let the pics talk.. but if you feel like typing all of it... LOL GO ON! Hey! Im sorry it took so long =P Here is the picture I promised... of course the new city Im working on is not as developed in terms of roads as this one, but it is on its way to!!
  7. Amazing work.. like always! Real fan of your work @Darf
  8. Maybe just update the building instead of uploading a new asset? Some of us are not really good at modding, and what sounds easy for the experts.. well for us mortals is horrible Now, the bridges.. wow! Those look fantastic, specially when you can have the different models next to each other. Would be really cool to actually build a city using all of them and creating somewhat of a back story for each one.. random thought
  9. || Recreating New York City by Kelistmac ||

Nice! Good to see you back buddy!
  10. That looks fantastic.. the more assets, the better! lets keep em coming!
  11. Another one from Argentina! Nice! I am from Buenos Aires, but not living there anymore.. I moved back when I was 12 but I usually visit the city once every 2 or 3 years.. a building set from Buenos Aires would be really really cool!
  12. Arden County-Urban Region

    I like it.. looks good!
  13. New pc - feedback

Well.. to be honest, I was planning on upgrading some of my laptop components some time ago. I ended up buying a new laptop, which is on the way. specs: Overclocked Intel Core i7 6820HK 2.7GHz Processor Overclocked 2400MHz 64GB DDR4 Memory GeForce GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5 512GB SSD + 1TB HDD with NVMe PCIE Controller NVIDIA G-SYNC 17.3-inch 1080p Display I love it so far!!
  14. Hey! Sorry I havent been able to keep up with your live streams.. and some videos.. still catching up! I was actually on a trip to New York and honestly havent been able to watch!! Still catching up, and of course, enjoying!! I really liked the roundabout.. Spectacular!
  15. Hey! Im sorry I havent been able to comment lately.. I was in New York. I watched all of the videos, but to be honest was so tight on time that I watched them in pieces and never really had the time to comment. Well now Im back, and I just wanna say that it is entertaining to watch.. I truly enjoy them! Keep it up!! Now, I read that suggestions/requests are a thing.. how about a challenge for you! How about, of course keeping it british, if you try your hand at building a Medieval kind of High Street.. you know, a little historical district, where instead of having those georgian/victorian shops, you go more of a medieval style. In any case, whatever you decide for your next episode, Im pretty sure I will enjoy it as I have been enjoy the rest so far!
  16. Project "Random Airport"

    Wow! Amazing work again!
  17. RAM vs Loading Times

I have about 1.9 assets, and 102 mods I think. i7, gtx 965m and 16gb ram... mine takes about 6 minutes. How do you select what mods to have? I tried to get rid of some, and I did, yet I still have over 100!!
  18. RAM vs Loading Times

Yeah, but still, my question is.. if your ram runs out, would it load faster with a SSD? or the difference is minimal? Cause Im guessing that if the game loads on ram, and the ram runs out, the game will load it in the pagefile. Now, would that be faster on a SSD? That's my question really.. cause if the game loads it on the pagefile, and the "speed" is the same regardless, then having a 32gb ram would be the answer basically.
  19. RAM vs Loading Times

How do I know how much VRAM I have? also, Im guessing that after the loading using RAM, having a SSD would do the job so much faster than using a HDD, right?
  20. I dont think the problem is features, but rather the fact that there are limits. With simcity 4, the game wasnt perfect, but we made it in a way that we were happy playing it. Of course, going back to it, now that we are used to all the new features in CSL would be really hard.. that's why they made it possible to mod. The only problem with that is the fact that they let us mod it, but they limit us. I don't think we need a new game.. what we need is a couple of basic fixes and a complete removal of limits.
  21. Thanks for taking the time! Hopefully.. some people will take this as a first step into the modding world! Thanks a lot!
  22. Hi! First off, welcome! I watched your videos for the first time, and I truly did enjoy them. If you don't mind, there are a couple suggestions I would like to make: 1) Move it! you should check that mod. It's a game changer! 2) Network extensions 2. I know that network extensions might not work for you, but there is an "upgrade" if you will, called network extensions 2, check it out. 3) I like the way you design your towns, but there are 2 things that I truly dislike.. a) the map! I mean, your towns look so good, yet the overall look of the map really takes away from the work and b) the train trenches... wow.. that is something pretty extreme! I know you have your reasons, but maybe by trying new mods you could get around that.. but please.. as a friendly suggestion, dont do that!! It takes so much away from the work you are putting into this. Other than that, again, I really enjoy your series and I hope to see more!
  23. GPU Recommendations

Speaking of which.. would it be possible to determine a minimum requirement for a gpu? right now I'm running on a NVIDIA GTX 965M, and game seems to be fine.. but, just to take the conversation a step further.. you know, for the sake of discussion.
  24. Dual Mini Roundabout - Creation Tutorial

Now that's a fantastic tutorial! I dont know why, but I felt like this was some kind of update =P Anyway, this is probably one basic step to add realism to small to medium british towns.. and I dare to say cities as well! Thanks for the contribution.. as always, fantastic content from you.
