  1. Opera House Bug

Eh, that alone won't break your game. Something else is affecting the Opera House. Without knowing what's modding the Opera House to make it crash the game when the Opea House Fix is added, it can be safely assumed there's a ticking time bomb in your plugins waiting to go off at a later date.
  2. Opera House Bug

Honestly, I'm not sure. I've accumulated so many plugins over the years... it's kind of a mess. I don't believe I ever used any kind of Opera House mod unless it was part of another one maybe. I actually downloaded that yesterday thinking it would help. unfortunately not. I wonder what else could be affecting it. grrr! This will allow you to find the files overwriting the Opera House. I suggest a read through the manual, as it has a learning curve.
  3. CAM question

Prophet is correct: If you change the growth stage to 8, then it is possible for the building to grow without CAM. The higher its capacity above 6000, however, the less likely you'll see it grow.
  4. Issues since patch

It's the downside of day 1 modding capabilities. A lot of the mods you get early on will eventually cease to function. Keep this in mind for the future and you'll be golden.
  5. how can I blck some prop?

1: Delete the prop file. 2: Delete the graphical information for the prop. DataNode and Reader will allow you to find it.
  6. Too Simplistic

Not true. Industry in SC4 will function correctly regardless of whether or not there are workers. For that matter, so will commercial offices and services. It's trickier with them because their desirability is affected by traffic noise.
  7. TinyHope

Make more maps with descriptions just as epic as the one for this.
  8. It has been a while indeed...

    Never mind, too preachy...
  9. I was thinking a GoFundMe with a request similar to this: "So all that neat stuff you enjoy on computers? Yeah, I invented it. Buy me a new video card you unappreciative whelps." As Nonny is Canadian, he'd need to throw in a few stereotypes such as "eh" and "milk bags".
  10. That's not an incredibly depressing thing to say, Nonny.
  11. Playing with an Intel(R) HD Graphics

Joe, it's only a matter of time before Cities: Skylines and Simcity 4 fight to the death. There can only be one!
  12. It has been a while indeed...

At least you have a friendly, helpful community to help out when things go awry.
  13. It has been a while indeed...

INCOMING RANT. No. It's a mess. Having hundreds of different creators, with their strengths and weaknesses, has created something of a slog to trudge through when assembling a bunch of plugins that'll make you happy. Sure, searching for "homes" gets you a lot of results, but not nearly all of them. Go on, search for "SC2013 Style Homes", which is a pack of houses by Andisart. Here's the link since you'll never find it because "style" is censored for reasons. It's a little thing, but finding things is a bunch of little things. A creator doesn't use "Skyscraper" when describing their giant monolith tower with 10 billion jobs. Someone makes a duplex, doesn't tag it as such. Someone makes a medium wealth commercial office, accidentally made the building as a high wealth commercial office. You can tell us exactly what you're looking for and that still only narrows things down; we'll never be able to give you a list of everything that's available. If you tell us "New York style apartment buildings", you're probably going to get "Search for Aaron's stuff" when there's actually quite a bit of other New York-styled apartment building out there. Some by SimGoober, a few by Jasoncw, and so on. The issue is, everyone knows about Aaron. They know how to find his stuff. He's active. Then there's the problems with badly lotted buildings, or buildings with ridiculous stats. People shy away from a lot of stuff because they just want their game to work and not have to troubleshoot things. Most of the problems people encounter in the game - in my opinion - are a result of some plugin or group of plugins being broken. Can it be fixed? Oh yes, easily. Assuming someone with access to every file on the STEX, who is able to troubleshoot and use PIMX: 1: Tag everything accurately with common language. Midrise, highrise, low wealth, medium wealth, residential, etc. Twrecks has done some of this. 2: Fix file descriptions. Update dead dependency links, screwed up formatting. 3: Run everything through PIMX. All of it. Every single file on the STEX that ends up on a lot. Growables, ploppables. PIMX not only corrects some errors, it's designed in such a way to choke to death on most severe modding failures. Plus, it fixes the majority of errors resulting from numbers being off. ... Bleh! My suggestions for the least-likely-to-end-badly experience: Use many variations on descriptive terms when searching for the things you want. Test what you add into the game. The older the building/lot, the more likely it is to explode in your face/have problems. Things from Japanese sites are likely to have completely screwed up modding/lotting. Immortal lots, off numbers, growing landmarks, etc. Most lots and buildings on the LEX have been tested. The STEX is a crapshoot. Jasoncw, Aaron, Mattb325 have PIMX'd their lots, so no weirdness from them.
  14. Playing with an Intel(R) HD Graphics

If it runs, it'll run poorly.
  15. A multitude of possible reasons, but I think this sums it up best: People are not perfect.
  16. Pre-existing I-HT will not be fixed.
  17. ITS Office Parks - Tonkso Corporate Park, Trowbridge Offices

Your best lots yet. Good use of space, parking lots are well-designed and add to the character of the lots. Top billing, easily.   I look forward to more.
  18. So yeah, Cities: Skylines modding. It's gonna be a thing. It's important to note that the lifespan of the game is going to be directly dependent on the quality of tools released by the developers. Even if it's not even that good a game, being able to tweak the Hell out of it will allow the fanbase to sand down the rough spots and greatly enhance the good parts. It's what we did with SimCity 4, and the game's still going strong as a result. Maxis released powerful creation tools and they carried information that was used to help figure things out, enabling better tools to be created. These better tools resulted in bigger and more varied modding, and even better tools. This cycle of continual improvement has not stopped, almost 11 years in. SimCity 2013, on the contrary, was kneecapped badly because EA-Maxis never released modding documents or tools, forcing the fanbase to figure everything out themselves. That's the important thing to note: It's one thing to say "we allow modding" and whole other to say "we enable modding", because they mean drastically different things and result in drastically different outcomes. There's a good sign that the developers are maybe sorta kinda caring about making their game live forever: http://www.skylinescity.com/cities-skylines-faq/#Modding What they're proposing to release sounds similar to what Maxis released for SC4. Hopefully the "3D importer" will turn into a "Building Architect Tool".
  19. Incredibly low frame rate in game.

It's impossible to know unless you tell us your system specs, but... Cities in Motion 2 minimum required specs: OS:Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7/8 Processor:2 GHz Dual core Memory:3 GB RAM Graphics:nVIDIA GeForce 8800, 512 MB RAM or ATI Radeon HD 3850, 512 MB RAM DirectX®:9.0 Cities: Skylines minimum requires specs: OS: Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1 (64-bit) Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo, 3.0GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+, 3.2GHz Memory: 4 GB RAM Graphics: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 260, 512 MB or ATI Radeon HD 5670, 512 MB DirectX: Version 9.0c Cities: Skylines has a much higher baseline just to get it squeaking along. It's perfectly possible your system manhandles Cities In Motion 2 but isn't quite up to the demands of Cities: Skylines. It's also possible that Cities: Skylines isn't optimized, or that your video card drivers aren't handling the game well.
  20. There is a uncommon bug where if a building with positive mayoral rating goes immortal, then the effect is reversed and you get extremely negative mayoral rating in the affected areas. This fellow goes immortal, but it is not the only one. This may or may not be the cause in you case. But it's the only thing I know of to cause it.
  21. Demand Cap or Something Else?

6000 (As displayed on the RCI chart) = The maximum amount of allowed demand. While not a hard cap, it is quite difficult to get buildings with bigger occupancy numbers to grow. 5000 (Your actual demand) = The number resulting from demand generated by residential occupants and supply cap. Supply cap is a hidden number that determines how many of a given occupancy can exist in your city, and the higher a given occupant type is to this number the lower the amount of demand generated. This will explain the concept quite well: http://www.wiki.sc4devotion.com/index.php?title=Tutorial:Demand%2C_Supply_and_CAPs I also suggest this ingame utility if you want maximum understanding of what your city is doing under the hood: https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1831 This will allow you to see exactly what the supply cap of your city is, among a ton of other information. Most of your questions can be answered by using it. Reading the manual is a must.
  22. Can't find it?... Ask here!

SimFox's TRB Towers: Do a search on SC4D's LEX for "water". You'll find gobs of water-related structures. Gobs! You'll have water towers bursting out the butt, man! Not literally. Probably. I like this one, personally.
  23. ITS Office Parks - CIS Center

    Looking good, my friend.
