View Album Okay folks - grab some coffee and donuts... this is gonna be a long ride (again)... ) Tourists flock to Rivershade from all of Mountainview - mostly entering through the south eastern corner... where rail lines and roads cut through difficult terrain... The town is served by a number of quaint stations... Around which cluster moderate commercial areas... Rivershade is situated in a bend of a large river. Generations have worked tirelessly to tame this river and shape it into a peaceful flowing and beautiful 'water boulevard'. All its shores were shaped into park-like walkways with trees that provide shade during daytime and light up at night, inviting for a leisurely stroll along its banks or a lazy ride with one of the many water taxis. Let's start the hike where the big river reaches the town and then just drift along... The lock serves as high water control during rainy season, when excess water is run off into the deep ravines below... An overview of the riverbend... The lit trees at nite spread a very special charme... Time to check in at your favorite Family Inn... :-)

View Album Okay, after Rivershade's quiet gentility, it's back into brute industrials... looking at where all the wood goes that's being cut down all over Mountainview region... We enter Almira from the east side with its main passenger- and freight stations... The large coal powerplant... An old industrial site being cleared for new developments... The town is dominated by the Saturn Pulp Industries with its large woodyard, evaporator, pulp treatment plant and the massive woodchip piles... note also the Saturn-funded land- and water-based fire station... A lone switchgrass farm is hanging on... Many small and medium loading docks are spread along the canal... Overview of industrials and loading docks... Across from Saturn we see the huge Hunter's Warehouse... The local shredder and some more bulk freight docks... Some old housing... Almira at night... Overview...

So, after looking on the most beautiful, interesting and popular areas and places in Slovakia, this CJ is coming to its end. It will be definitely soon, but there will be 4 final updates before it, so this is not the end. As all countries in the world, Slovakia is not perfect. In fact, it is one of these European countries what have quite big amount of poor people, social and financial problems, and also criminality. But still, it is often modern and beautiful country. But first, let's have the Replies. TowerDude: Thank you! Emperordaniel: Also thanks! Huston: Yeah, really thank you very much! Escilnavia: Again, thanks. Fox: Thanks! I also really like these parking lots. Simarco: Yeah, this is actually real city planning in real Slovakia. 1000000000000: Thank you! These tenements are processed Slovak tenement googlesketchups, of course only for personal use, what is legal and without problems. Simbourgeois: Also thank you! Hester: Really thanks! But, this CJ is coming to the end. Hope you will like the Greater Morsco updates then. Slovak nature and forests are not always perfect and beautiful. In many areas forests were destroyed for paper and wood. And, wind calamity in High Tatras what happened in 2004, destroyed enormous amounts of forests, what will be recovering many decades. In area shown below, calamity was not very strong, and there are areas what are much worse. Lots of slovak rivers and lakes are poluted by chemicals and trash, as it is in many countries. There are also some illegal waste dumps right near Slovak rivers and lakes. Illegal trashyards can be also found in Slovak forests, mostly on the southeast. Many of them are located near industrial areas, and some also near Roma settlements and villages, what can be often found in Eastern Slovakia. Slovak roma settlements and villages are full of criminality and poverty; they are one of the most negative things in entire Slovakia. Many of them are parts of larger villages and cities, and are located mostly on the central and eastern parts of Slovakia. Before many years, during the socialism, district of Kosice known as Lunik IX was built to house the people from nearby roma settlements. Now, it is very popluar target of criticism, with alarmingly high criminality, piles of garbage around tenements, what are in desolate state. Real life picture of Lunik IX can be found in the first update. If you enjoyed this update, don't be afraid of commenting . There will be posting awards at the end.

So, after many months and updates, this CJ is coming to the end. But, this is still not the last update, although it is undoubdetly the largest update of this CJ ever. Then it will be the posting awards and then the final End Credits. But I thank you all, for enjoying this CJ from its start, to its close ending. In this great overview, we will look again on the areas of Slovakia, what were shown earlier in the updates, along with some RL pics. Enjoy this update. But first, the (again especially long)replies. Emperordaniel: Thanks! Skyscraper 241: Again, thank you. K50dude: It will be on USNW soon. Simarco: Yeah, it is really bad with romas over there, I think. Fox: Yeah, it is like that in real life. Thanks! Hahei: I will maybe post some in the future. Thank you. Simbourgeois: Also thanks! Ggamgus: Thanks! Evanm1487: Again, thanks! Benedict: Thank you very much! Kakado_to_save: Greatly thanks! Ladybug2: Yeah, thanks! TekindusT: Wow! Really thank you! Alejandro24: Also thank you! Waahzombie: Exactly. Thanks. Shingure: Yeah, it is. But thank you! BIWDC: Also thanks! Ultratrololo: I also think so. Spursrule14: Yeah, thank you! This is full map of Slovakia, with the some areas shown in past 26 updates are marked. Let's start at the first Sc4 pic of this CJ, what shows area of the historical city of Bratislava, and the Dome of Saint Martin. The Dome of Saint Martin is really famous sight of Bratislava and well known building in Slovakia. On the south of Bratislava are located many artificial lakes, previously used for mining. Nove Kosariska, where is popular beach and garden area is one of them. Below the city of Bratislava is also located major Pannonian Lowland, being largest lowland in Slovakia. It is full of farmfields, because it is the most fertile area in Slovakia. On the northeast it borders with Carpathian Mountains, what cover majority of Slovakia. Further to the northeast, there are located minor cities of Nitra and Trnava. Entire Slovakia is full of socialist tenements, what stand in almost every eastern European country. Northwestern Slovakia is also known for large number of castle ruins there. In the center of Slovakia are located mountains of Low Tatras, with popular Ski resort Chopok Jasna. On the north of Low Tatras stand well known High Tatras, one of the symbols of Slovakia. Most popular area there is around Strbske Pleso lake. This is the lake in one of the pics shown few updates before. In High Tatras is truly beautiful nature... On the east of High Tatras is located probably the most beautiful Slovak national park, the Pieniny. In the region of Spis is also located second largest castle in Slovakia and one of the largest castle ruins in continental Europe, Spissky Hrad. In the far eastern regions of Slovakia are also located two major cities, Presov and Kosice. Presov is the smaller one, but known for its beautiful, small old city. Kosice is much larger city, being economical center of the area, with more than 220.000 inhabitants. Below the Kosice is located major region of Zemplin, also known for the Zemplinska Sirava, popular bathing area. Before few updates, we returned again to the city of Bratislava, the Slovak capital. The city has truly beautiful historical center. Slovakia, as all countries in the world, is not perfect. Mainly on the east are located desolated areas full of criminality and poverty. Lunik IX is one of them. If you enjoyed this massive Great Overview, don't be afraid of commenting or +1. There will be posting awards very soon.

Why don't you simply make a pack of your "upgraded" lots. There are probably hundreds of these "improved" lots so if you really want to contribute to the community you need to do something else besides adding a parking lot. It probably took me longer to write this reply to open the lot editor and do it myself. It is good that you want to contribute, but in my opinion it is better to make one good LOT or BAT than 10 poor ones...There is a thread section in case you want to continue LOTing (or BATing) you can get help, advice and comments there.

So, after the animated teaser, let's proceed to the full update about the El Moritia. But first, the Replies. Emperordaniel: Thank you! Lobsterav: Thank you very much! Escilnavia: It is from LEX, I think it is called Hurst Building. Spursrule14: Thanks! 111222333444: Also thank you! El Moritia is a minor city in Greater Morsco, province Thallos. It has 460,000 inhabitants, and is often considered satellitte city of its massive neighbour, El Thullia. Both cities have very similar architecture, although El Moritia has more modern architecture overall. Many famous people from Greater Morsco came from El Moritia, including world famous 18.th century composer Carlos Aesthros. Most popular among tourists is central historical part, architectural style there is very similar to the outer historical areas of El Thullia. This part of the city also includes Market square, and just near it is located Aesthros Square, where exploded devastating bomb on 28.th of august. El Moritia has also extensive tram system, what covers majority of the city, and is sixth largest tram system in entire Greater Morsco. On the southern part of city is located Central district, also called Financial, although many buildings there are residential or hotel ones. In Central district is also located Central Park, largest park of El Moritia, what covers area of 1.2 hectars, and is popular recreating area. Across the city flows minor river of Moritia, named after the city, what later joins Morsca. It also divides city core to two parts, Old City is located on the northern side, and "Financial" on the south. On this mosaic, City Hall can be seen at the top, and in the left down corner is Aesthros Tower, highest building in both El Moritia and El Thullia, being 157 m high. Enjoy the mosaic! In the outer areas of El Moritia are located major residential areas. Buildings there have been built in 60's and 70's of 20.th century, with typical residential architecture of 20.th century in Greater Morsco. Emperordaniel ~ Thanks a lot! Sucram17 ~ Thanks! And What Daniel said before, upload to a image hosting site like majhost or photobucket JGellock ~ Thanks!! Escilnavia ~ Thank you very much! Cjwillis96 ~ Thank you!! Spursrule14 ~ Really? Thank you, your too kind Simbouregeois ~ Thank you!! "Bienvensien means Welcome in Litusian" Welcome to Llithustania again, and another Welcome to you for being in the Northern regions of Mevrco. In this update, I present to you one of the state's older main routes which lead into the state capital that is hidden in the valley's beyond south (Rivera, the capital will be the next update...). Scenic and still a very popular route and tourist zone, I hope that you think so too. Just up the mountain is an old building, a church which was part of Halhnfhar which is not far east of the church. It's also one of the areas which bring in tourists and bring Mevrco some dough. And the....uhh...Secret Services of Llithustania...What could they be doing here? Thanks for viewing

"Been there, done that" about a hundred times over since the Simcity gods granted us use of SC4 tools like LE and PIM. These can be found easily with a simple search, so adding new ones that add nothing to the diluted pool of cheat lots doesn't impress me. Perhaps a nicely BATed model, a good Lot, some other effects... anything???

Hello everyone, time for a real update. Today we are visiting the Insulonian Special District of Borola, a small sliver of land on the island of Borola and the poorest area in Insulo. It is bordered by North and South Borola, two nations that have traditionally engaged in war. North Borola is currently ruled by a military junta, and has seen massive amounts of political violence, resulting in an influx of refugees to Insulonian Borola. The special district is almost entirely comprised by the massive city of Lakit, which with an estimated permanent population of 8,995,462 is far and away the largest city in Insulo. It is believed there may be many more people here living for who have not been accounted for or are living in the city temporarily as migrant workers or refugees. We'll start in the far western sector, outside the city, where one of the last parcels of forest left in the Special district has become home to many refugees and impoverished people. The government is attempting to reduce the amount of squatter settlements by building cheap housing, but construction has been mired by bad weather and cannot keep up with the massive numbers of people coming into the special district. In this shot we see the edge of a slum called Sungai Sedikit. And here we see a highway embankment through a frequently flooded area that is known as Setanrawa. Now we move into a more dense area, Cendawan City. This was once a smaller city but has now been enveloped into the giant city of Lakit, and has since become a less than desirable area of town, but is famous for it's lively markets and celebrations. One of the areas where there has been the most progress in Borola is the creation of employment opportunity through the bringing in of industry. Here we see the Lilin Industrial Park, where there are many oil refineries. Finally we visit a nicer area of town, a suburb called Teratai. Many people who would be considered middle class live here, and it is typical of many of the wealthier suburbs around Lakit. This image is large mosaic, click the below placeholder to see it in it's full glory. It will take a while to load, as it is close to 20mb in size and comprised of 20 smaller images, but I think the wait is more than worth it. Hope you enjoyed this update, I hope to get some more out before the new year (maybe even a New Year's Update) as I should have more time during Winter Break. Until Next Time, Jon

Ok, I have seen alot of your recent releases, and wonder why? Whay are you going through and adding parking lots to every plobbable building in the game, and releasing them individually? Why this may have helping back in 2005, not many people are interested in this kinda thing any more, becuase ussually people use the public parking garage beside buidlings, and thats where the workers "park". I know you have good intentions on helping the community out, but if you plan to do something like this again, please release a pack of them. You could also try opening a lot thread in lot open discussion, and let the community help you out. Best wishes for the future, Frex_Ceafus

MamaLuigi945: Thanks for your comment! Schulmanator: Thank you for commenting! Never too busy for ST, whether I browse it just after getting up, in a free hour in the college, on my phone or at night before going to sleep! 111222333444: Thank you for your comment! What about LED technology? k50dude: Thanks for commenting! There aren't many neon signs in my area, perhaps this is why they've always called my atention... Evillions: Thank you for your comment! As you may have noticed, there are no night scenes in this CJ. The computer I run SC4 is 11 years old and switching the view from day to night is so much resource-consuming that it takes 5-10 minutes, not to talk about the day-night transition. Furthermore, I don't like taking night pics because they give you less room to play with them on the GIMP; so I think I'll stick with daytime pictures. Benedict: Thanks for commenting! TekindusT's cities --> Elevated rail tracks! Packersfan: Thank you for commenting! I've forgotten to take a city-wide pic, I'll try to take one for the next update... Roberto Robato: Thank you for your comment! More or less the same I told to Evillions... thornyjohny: Thank you for your comment! The in-game camera is enough for me to take pics; but I have to convert them from *.png to *.jpeg in order to publish them here. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- And I give it all away Just to have somewhere to go to Give it all away To have someone to come home to This is my December These are my snow-covered dreams This is me pretending This is all I need [Linkin Park - My December] December is cold in the northern hemisphere, but it is even colder in Rankine. The nearby water gives the whole city a humid climate, that is freezing when wind blows. Everybody tries to be at home this days, except the muslims who have to go to the Mosque. Nobody in the "to City" platform during Sunday. Newyorkers spend these days in Manhattan buying stuff for Christmas, but Rankiners don't. Christmas presents and meals are a luxury that only a few can afford here. Rankiners spend their Christmas in places like this, the factories. The machinery must run 24/7 and a lot of people are willing to work some extra hours to pay the bills or the scarce Christmas presents. It is cold inside too, broken windows let the wind come in; but workers are "happy" overall. At least, they have a workplace to go to.

Being impatient and uploading BATs like this (unfinished, not good enough textures and details, etc) will only result getting a "bad BATter" reputation, which is hard to repair. Consider it and show what you do in your BATthread before uploading. This is a little better, but there's still a lot of room for improvements. Good luck.

So, after our trip around Slovakia, we finally reached Bratislava again. Because the Capital of Slovakia really deserves more than 2 updates, this update will be also about the Bratislava. Enjoy! But first, the(now especially long)Replies. Simarco: Thank you! Towerdude: Also thanks! Suomi2005: Really thank you! Emperordaniel: Again, thank you very much. Simul8ter8: Thanks. Janslaven: This Dialnica will now lead us back to the Bratislava! 10000000000000: Yeah, thank you. Fox: As always, thanks. Escilnavia: Thank you! I also think so. Simbourgeois: Yeah, that pic is actually least photoshopped one. Kakado_to_save: But it is! Vlasky: Thanks! I think these BAT's are very good, because I don't know how to BAT. Wraner: Also thank you. K50Dude: Again, thanks! Just 4 E's - Excellent Inspiration, Eye for Realism, Enormous amount of Custom Content and Experience in Photoshopping. Benedict: Thank you very much! Pielover94: Thanks. Mystic_Destiny: Also thanks. Klr650c: Thank you! JGellock: Yeah, also thanks. Leszczyk: Again, thanks. Jason Ramos: Yeah, I am professional. But I will change the thing soon - this CJ is very near the final updates. But I will change it for something better - The Greater Morsco. Jotauveefe: Thanks! Davidkopravitko:Dakujem! Packersfan: And again thank you! So after the replies, let's begin with the update. As I said about half of year before, Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia with around 450,000 inhabitants, and it is located very close to the Vienna City. There are located only few buildings higher than 100 m, one of them is highest standing Slovak building, the Tower 115, called so because it is 115 m high(RL pic of this tower was shown in the first two updates about Bratislava at the start of this CJ). Bratislava has also largest tram system in Slovakia, and with Kosice are only cities with tram system in Slovakia. Just near Old City is located Safarik Square, with Komensky's University located about 50 m down from the area shown on this pic. Now, we will pass the Lafranconi Bridge across the Danube, and let's go to the Petrzalka. It is largest part of Bratislava with more than 100,000 inhabitants living in hundreds of tenements build in socialist times. In the southeastern part of Petrzalka are also located two large lakes(althoug both artificial), Maly and Velky Drazdiak. Velky Drazdiak is located among the tenements and it is popular for bathers and runners. Maly Drazdiak is located near the forests, only with few houses located near it. Hovewer, it is very popular among fishermen.

The city just started building a new university about 5 minutes from downtown Genoa. Genoa University is going to be very expensive to get into. It is already looking really nice! It is opening up new areas for retail stores and bumping up the desirability for new homes. Great highway access is helpful for students visiting home over break. Across from the university some a new subdivision is being built by the beach. The beachfront property will be quite expensive. This building right here is the city's newspaper building. It is so technologically advanced that some readers get the newspaper on their Kindle or iPad! Today, the fog and rain is slowing the construction near the highway. It is closed while an overpass is being reconstructed. Some noise walls will be added to the new subdivision too. But by tomorrow, the rain will be gone and the planes will fly again! This is the Genoa Regional Airport. To go international, travellers must fly to New York, then get on another plane to get to their destination. (As you can see, I'm not much of an airport maker. Please do not complain about it.) -- The airport and beach development has caused the need for a new school. Pineview Elementary School serves much of the new neighborhoods. (This was just uploaded to the stex when I was about to publish this update!) A popular beach in the Genoa Metropolitan Area is North Beach. But it is rarely ever crowded because it is usually cold in Northern Viatica. Take a look at their slogan. Enjoy swimming there! Rate and Comment!

Hey everyone! I realize I've been pretty quiet since my last update, and while it is true that the holidays are in full swing for me, rest assured that I am still working on Carew Tower! In fact, almost all the modeling is done (just a few final touches are needed) and I'm currently tweaking the textures. Many of you have asked if I'd be willing to release alternate versions of this, with the tower and hotel broken apart since the complex is so large. I do have plans to do this, because I too would like to use them separately, but I plan to work on that after I release the full version. So if you want these separated, and can be patient, then I will sure try to oblige! That said, here's a new preview! (Note: there is no window texture on this yet.) Hope everyone is doing well!

I'm not sure why, especially the fact that it's 9 degrees outside... People still manage to find their way around this merry town and have fun in the cold weather and even bike around and picnic beside the lake. Thanks for viewing and Happy Holidays to all! :santa: And Watch out for my next update! !mosaic!

As small as it is, it's really a building with character! The odd front with the high and narrow windows, that roof construction, the sculpture, those chimneys, the slightly gritty roof in contrast to that beautiful garden... Not a building I'd like to see on every other lot, but since it's a ploppable museum, that's a non-issue. And how cool is it to have a W2W museum?

Can people stop making excessive money in these lots? 10-20 thousand a month is enough, and once you have 5 million and a steady income you will never have money problems again. 4.2 million from a tiny lot is just way over the top.

^I don't really think that a lot's 'demand' should decide whether it is good or bad. Actually, I think things like this are great, because they surprise us by introducing things we'd never think of but end up wanting to use because they are so interesting.

Day is finished and exported!! Unfortunately I forgot that I modeled it to its real life dimensions, the front being about 18 meters wide. So I had to scale it to fit on the 16 meter wide lot. Night is going to be really simple, so I probably won't update about night.

Purr-fect, even. Even so, I award you 5 stars for this thoroughly engaging tale. Please tell me you plan on an international release, including a big, star-studded premier in Port Matthew .

"Once again, you show us a great update! There are only two things I could complain of: 1) The coastline you show us on the 8.09 pic is, in my opinion, screaming for some seawalls or retaining walls, or rocks or breakwaters... You know what I mean, but maybe it's just me that I can't stand seeing water touching bare terrain... 2) Farms facing the diagonal railroad... I know this is something that cannot be completely solved, but some rural players usually hide this kind of things with Mayor Mode trees or this kind of stuff... Just a couple suggestions, the rest, perfect as usual!" --- TekindusT 1) Well, there are some cities where this is the case and I would be lieing if I would say that making seawalls is easy for me. Most of the time, I'm a bit too lazy doing that... 2) That's a bit of a downside of SimCity being grid-based, but I've learned to live with it. I usually put some trees there, but I think I forgot to do this this time. Anyways, thank you for you comment! "Wow another awesome update! (though that's to be expected ) I just have to ask two questions though. 1) How'd you get the trees on the SAM streets? 2) That GLR base replacement mod, where can I find it? I would ask a third but I know not to ask you about the catenaries" --- Frdm920 1) That's the Street Side Mod for the SAM I found on the LEX. 2) Someone on SC4D linked the mod, which was on some Japanese site... "I have a few questions, hopefully not to bug you - Do you use SPAM for your farmlands or anything else? What terrain mad/plop props are shown in this and your last post? What kind of retaining walls is accompanied to the rail trench? Thanks, Guy." --- grstudios I do not use the SPAM. I do use a terrain mod, namely CPT's Italia Terrain Mod. The retain walls are from Jeronij in a package I found on the LEX. "Amazing Scenery! The last picture is my favorite." --- 10000000000000 "Another Fantastic Update. I always like your transitions from one type of development to the another." --- EyeofMobius "Nice to see you back - I love the rail running through the towns. Very realistic." --- Benedict "whoa......... LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!" --- 124Blackhawk "I just discovered this CJ today. Very cool stuff! It's all enjoyable to look at, and I especially like the road geek work! It's also nice to see a CJ with a Dutch flavor. I went to The Netherlands for the first time last December on a business trip, and I really enjoyed it. Your CJ reminds me of when I was there. Keep up the great work!" --- spiffus "@spiffus: So did I, nice job, does look very dutch doesn't it." --- escilnavia Thank you all! (Oh, and it's actually not dutch styled. Skyscrapers and hills don't fit in a dutch landscape ) After a few months of abscence (mainly due to the work on the Euro RHW Texture Replacement Mod), Schellingen-Stadt is back. This time, we take a visit in another suburb, Rianstedt. Rianstedt was the last tiles I've finished of the central city in the Region. And since it's my first update in months, why not take a visit here? So let's get started. We start on the freeway A12, which goes trough a rural landscape here. It may look a bit wide, but this freeway leads to larger cities further away, like Boll and Bammsmuenster. Just an overpass over the A12. This road connects Moelendorf with Arminheim. Moelendorf is just a little, boring village somewhere around Schellingen. But hey, it's still a place to live... Arminheim is not much different... The B14 is the old road to Boll and Bammsmuenster and it got replaced by the A12. Nowadays the road has a more local function, but still it remains a main route in the region... Wandering around on the farmlands... Here the B14 enters the agglomeration of Schellingen-Stadt, at Rianstedt to be exact... The city has some characteristic appartment blocks spread throughout this part of the city (it was a pain to plop them, because they kept on abandoning...): But this suburb has also a dirty side; some industry... The A12 goes right in between the two city suburbs Am Schelling and Rianstedt. To conclude, some random pics from the suburbs... And a bonus image: the region view as it is today: Best, Maarten

Following a heads-up from the forums, I am about to file an application for an electrical OWOT (one-way, one-time) transfer of custom structure enhancements into our architectural repository for virtual urban settlements to boost sustainable, economical, and efficient city development and enable synergies with existing assets, but I'm still trying to get management buy-in and overcome the silo thinking that's prevalent in some departments of my organization before this project is a go - not to mention clearance from Legal. After a drill-down into the opportunities offered by this commodity, the results of our evaluation survey will be communicated to you.

It's now live on the STEX, get it while it's fresh! It's a difficult lot to grow, but with sufficient demand and the right zone size (18x11) you should be able to get it... if you can’t there’s always the landmark. (We'll be releasing a reward version in the new year too, watch out for that.) So thanks everyone for your support and advice, I hope you like the final result. Feel free to use this thread to show us how you use complex in your cities if you feel like it.

Exceptionally well made. Looks at home with the Simfox gems in that last screenshot (also a brown box, but lets pretend that's not there ). This will work as a downtown centerpiece or fit right into an urban jungle, all the while looking beautiful. Can't wait to see whats next!

Dude, you know water pumps are unmanned 99% of the time, right? They don't even need parking lots.

You really don't need to add a parking lot for EVERY building specifically because you can make things like this. Really, this is the only thing you could have uploaded, rather than a bunch of other barely-there Lots that have been made a dozen times before. This upload, not bad. The others are superfluous IMO. Try opening a thread on the subject so you can get some advice before uploading a bunch of files (and avoid the lukewarm reviews too).

Thanks guys! So I've done a bit more work on 1001 Woodward and I've exported the day. This was mainly just a test export, to see how it looked in the game, and to see how the lotting might be. It was also to explore the potential overhang lot. In real life the building sits on a lot which is roughly triangular (in other words on one side there is a diagonal avenue, Michigan Avenue). So I made an overhang lot and experimented plopping it with FAR roads. I'll post more about that later though. But anyway this isn't the final render, I'll be re-rendering it soon after doing some more tweaking. Since the pavers in RL are darker around that building and because the building itself is so dark, I was thinking of using the low wealth pavers. I haven't started to think of props for the plaza yet. This is basically my experimentation so far. I tried putting it around roundabouts and it sort of fit but it was still kind of awkward. I'm not that great with all the road stuff though so maybe other people would be able to make better use of an overhang version than I can. But below is basically what the plaza looks like in real life except the road is an avenue.

Hey, you did it! Seems like this BAT was finished 90% and then put on hold for some time, too, but you've probably been doing a lot of finishing touches in the background. Great to see it online finally - a very fine addition to the STEX! I really like the unique shape. No longer are Bixel's HK pencil towers alone... My only suggestion doesn't even concern the BAT itself, but its presentation: Some basic information about zone density, lot size, and tileset(s) in the description would be welcome. Otherwise, we have a superb model with very good textures, the choice between Maxis night and Dark Nite, two good screenshots, documented and linked dependencies - pretty much a perfect upload. Thanks a bunch for sharing the result of all your dedicated and hard work with us. I've been following your thread and I know how patiently and thoroughly you have perfected this little gem - and it shows in the final BAT. Congratulations for finishing it, and I hope you'll enjoy well-deserved good ratings and a ton of downloads! I also hope this won't be your last release...

Thanks Jack and Twrecks. It has been a while since I have posted. I honestly haven't done much on Sim City in the last two months. The wife and I are now only 3-4 weeks out from the birth of our first child, Janetta. We're quite excited, although Michelle is just ready to have pregnancy done with now. Over the last 2 weeks though, I have kind of picked up batting again on my long overdue set. First, I took the barely started bits of the Postal Station A and Annex, and finished the historic Prince William Street front of the building. Still lots to do on the POA! The real building spans across a city block and has entrances on Prince William and Canterbury Streets. You can see it in real life here. I'm realizing that the big change in elevation between Prince William and Canterbury Streets means I'm not going to be able to replicate the real life building exactly. I'm either going to have add a few extra floors to the Annex (Canterbury Street side) or change how the two roofs line up since, without adding floors, the Annex won't be taller than the Postal Station. Will have to puzzle over that one some more, but I'm leaning on altering the roof since street level is what most people recognize. Besides the POA, I have also been slowly working away at the textures on the Dominion Public Building. It's really slow going since I'm clipping from photos I have taken which means that each section needs to be adjusted to fit. Still, besides the tower, I'm pretty much done with the front now. Anyway, the next few months have a lot of unknowns. I'm hoping that I'll be able to keep slowly picking at thing though in between diapers and sleep deprivation

Jealousy, turning saints into the sea, Swimming through sick lullabies, Choking on your alibis. But it's just the price I pay, Destiny is calling me, Open up my eager eyes Cause I'm Mr. Brightside -The Killers The last time we visited Darlington City, we only visited one thin side of it. We're now going to see both the downtown and the side we previously saw.... both in daylight. We'll start in familiar territory with the airport. The power plant. Now we're in new content, starting with the Posilliponian District. The Darlington Forum holds 12,000 people. It's positioned right next to Huesal Square just outside of downtown. (a place where you could very well be seeing some new year's action) There are lots of condominiums, apartments, and lofts around Huesal Square. The Marquam High District is on the foothills of the Starlene Mountains. The Marquam Low District is mainly composed of Marquam University. Pineda Stadium is a dominant landmark just north of the CBD. The small but tall CBD lies between the western suburbs, the Huesal apartments, Pineda Stadium, and Marquam University. It's incomplete and it's got a few glitches (brown boxes, abandonment, etc.) but just so you get a general idea, this is the region view. And this is a mosaic! Hope you liked the update, sorry I didn't do one on Spaulding if you were on a forum that saw the teaser of it (if you didn't, it was to be a small and very American-styled farm town, but it didn't really fit into New Chandler's tropical ideas).

Apparently open space on a lot is underrated. At this point in my SC4 career, I usually remove all the unnecessary crap from a lot so that it compliments the density I'm trying to achieve. The end result is not unlike how this lot appears already, so less work for me! I love it Jason, I'll happily use it in place of any number of the existing overused school lots.
