Okay, after Rivershade's quiet gentility, it's back into brute industrials... looking at where all the wood goes that's being cut down all over Mountainview region...

We enter Almira from the east side with its main passenger- and freight stations...

The town is dominated by the Saturn Pulp Industries with its large woodyard, evaporator, pulp treatment plant and the massive woodchip piles... note also the Saturn-funded land- and water-based fire station...

This is a bit of a different twist I think for your CJ. The industrial materials lots fit in nicely. I like the update!

Amazing. You put so much effort and thinking into making your cities realistic and beautiful, that they simply blow my mind. I can't imagine how big is your plugins folder.

Stunning! Where did you get the cottages like the one in the seventh to last picture?

This is without question the finest detailed city journal being published right now. Those industrial lots look so good, the coal power plant actually looks like a real coal power plant, the flora and plops and props are perfectly placed, it's less like you made it and more like you flew overhead and took pictures of a real place. Wow.

Heh, good to hear that you also enjoy industrials - they're not really 'new' to my game, but usually a bit more subdued, as my main industries are based on scattered logging components, not so much on centers with huge smoke-belching monsters...

To your questions -

The large coal powerplant (and also the large wood chip piles) come from Simcity Polska (just look in the industrial section).

The huge coal pile comes from a japanese creator - maybe Somy or Nob (I'm notoriously bad with recording japanese links, as they change often, so I'm afraid you have to dig on your own).

The 'cottages' are called Maison de Lexy and Maison de Charles (or so) and come from TSC, also available from Lex, I think...

As for my Plugins Folder - that is slimmer than you may think. I have a very old computer system (Win2k with 1Mb RAM), so I devised a setup where I maintain certain "Essentials" (things I always use), and then just switch in the things needed for the tile I'm currently working on (and its immediate neighbors). So my actual playing or in-game plugin folder is seldom bigger than 500 to 700 Mb - more makes my setup sluggish to a point where playing is no more fun... or outright impossible.

What I do have though is a vast collection of custom content from all over the world - I regularly visit Plex, Stex, TSC, Simcity Polska, CapitalSim, SCBrasil, Kurier, Lex, and those difficult sites in Japan, Korea and China... Aside from madly collecting (anything but skyscrapers ;-), I spend a lot of effort (and time) to re-lot and mod things in order to achieve the blend that suits my preferences, or my style(?)... and reduce things to the really needed dependencies ;-)

Incredible update, with all sorts of industrial features I have never seen before at Simtropolis. Certainly good enough for your CJ to spend a third week at number one on Ben's Top Ten!

What amazes me most is how you can fit so much nice things onto such a small map (It's hard to tell which size it is, but it isn't the biggest), and have it look so natural and nice. :boggle:

@sucram17: Look up in my first comment answer - they're the 'cottages' from TSC :-)

@jaris: Yeah, 99% of my towns are settled on small tiles... trying to play medium or large tiles just makes my pc smoke... ;-)

Wow that is really great. I wish I had the patience and time to re-lot things and scour all those websites for great content.

Although I do hate the repetitive American CJs around the site. This one is an exception, this is one of my favorite American CJs in the SC4 community.

EXCELLENT WORK!!!
