    Awww sad to see the CJ go in hiatus, but can't wait for "My Cities: Skylines CJ Scrapbook". :lol::

    It already exists! I just changed the title.

    Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

    This profile is now defunct.

    Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

    Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

    But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

    The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

    With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

    With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

    Nothing wrong with going out on top. I have a feeling it'll carry over into the inaugural Ben's Top Ten - Cities: Skylines edition.

    Correlation doesn't imply causation, but it does waggle its eyebrows suggestively and gesture furtively while mouthing 'look over there'. - xkcd.com

    Achtung Baby!

    For the next two months I will be playing SC4, so from today to the start of September I will posting about 2 or 3 entries per week. There are still areas of Weckum I have not shown to you, there is still much to complete in Annuq and there is other unfinished business I have with SC4. Let's begin!

    [-----------------------------------------------]

    Update 86- Trenton

    Trenton is right in the centre of Weckum and contains a graveyard, a hospital, a shopping strip, a few industrial units and lots of apartment rows.

    ///

    8YiJRS.jpg

    Trenton is right in the centre of this picture and to the left of the two corners of the river.

    gO1Asg.jpgV3vGKY.jpg

    The east end of the shopping strip.

    Gfe1ZH.jpgcZ8gn0.jpg

    The West end of the shopping strip. To the bottom left is the hospital.

    OLpUWk.jpgboP53m.jpgomV5r0.jpgUAQY5A.jpgNebbNX.jpgZvnLTZ.jpg

    The apartment rows get more classy the closer one gets to the river.

    ZAVKTc.jpgFnkQVA.jpg

    Trenton graveyard.

    N4ET8q.jpg

    I've found a perfect use for Bipin's industrial roads.

    RI0tkU.jpgnsOSmr.jpgfzKVeY.jpg

    In the centre of the picture are the industrial units/buildings.

    WYh7aN.jpgLxVKio.jpgTLk8Bh.jpgDNOUuI.jpg

    My favourite industrial estate- small, pokey and grimy.

    Yz58U5.jpgMhQ8f5.jpg7gemmm.jpg7XZGNk.jpg

    Mind the corner.

    LTYSw8.jpgDpmRkl.jpg

    The BATs of these two-storey council houses are just great and very useful 2 by 1 residential fillers.

    h9SVgq.jpg

    The skyscraper in black was a happy accident which sprouted upwards.

    c6JFWC.jpg

    Finally a preview of Annuq's CBD.

    ///

    p.s. What are the dimensions of the featured pictures which are displayed on the Simtropolis homepage? I don't think it is 700 by 350 anymore.

    p.p.s After inspecting the images with the "inspect element" tool on Firefox it appears that the featured pictures resolute is 879 by 540. Is this correct?

    Replies:

    dabadon5: Thanks a lot!

    Sexysark:P: Thanks, in the next city I'm working on my bag of city-building tricks has become larger.

    gviper: Thank you.

    jmsepe: That's good to hear.

    Tonraq: It's good to be back, SC4 is the ultimate orthogonal city-building sandbox.

    Belfastsocrates: I will be alternating between SC4 and CS. It keeps both games fresh.

    nos.17: Your lots are really, really useful for filling in low-density areas and they provide tons of jobs to!

    Tekindus: For me that's the fun of SC4- building one area in a certain style and then changing that style for a different area. It also explains why I take longer completing these cities. Also alleyways, W2W and car parking has become an obsession for me whenever I play SC4.

    [-----------------------------------------------]

    Update 87- Riverside

    Suburbs, diagonal buildings, W2W and a banked river- that's West Weckum in a nutshell!

    ///

    OyISkk.jpgnQ3NuU.jpgGlOFFx.jpgmxdFFb.jpgjZsKDL.jpgBaEdYM.jpgFObITX.jpgyMUdi9.jpgAH2f8b.jpgAIIpQa.jpgEVG4Ph.jpg2nmMSy.jpgWHaPBq.jpgmUQeDB.jpgdV7bgZ.jpgwrP04g.jpgHdlSq4.jpgDe71Ge.jpgAGEC7r.jpg7pVC14.jpgtQBR9g.jpgESNJDc.jpgxpPuSR.jpgxQgzFk.jpg

    And that is it for West Weckum.

    ///

    Now as for the city of Annuq that should take no more than two weeks to complete. This city already has a very different feel to it because I've replaced many of the base grass textures with the Sudden Valley terrain mod ones- thanks to some useful mods. Plus I have finally become comfortable with adding canals and mixing them with heavy industry.

    Next entry this Saturday.

    Really nice work :yes:

    I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

    Very impressive in the details imo.

    One thing is for sure: in three years, when C:S is fully developed in terms of custom content, i hope your cj there is still active (and the SC4 one also).

    Inspirational, when i see some of your pics i tell myself: stop the region view, stop the city view, just play one hour in that little street and make it as beautifull as possible.
