There were a hill between tunnel exits but it disappeared! :O The mayor, Christ the Redeemer and a lot of people are looking for the hill and trying understand what it's happened (and how the tunnel works yet! :boggle:*:lol:

Teleport portal, maybe *:D. How did you actually get this? Did you level the terrain between both tunnel portals after dragging the tunnel, or has it always been that flat and just turned out like this after you tried to drag the avenue up/downhill?

The tunnel already was built before. When I was niveler terrain around, I errored and "cut" hill between tunnels exits... o.O  So I decided test how much would can remove of the hill and I did this scene! *:lol:

Below, step by step how I removed the hill. In image 4, note that I can even create a lake!!! :whatevs:

This is the way you can use to build underwater tunnels in-game. I rarely use them, but I did figure it out rather quickly in my SC4 gameplay trajectory!

That illegal jump on the rail on @simmering's immage is because the ground level rail station is touching the rail overpass... If you put the rail station one tile away from the overpass, then the jump won't happen. Also worth to note, that those old japanese stations are highly likely having either the default maxis rail switches or some very obsolete configurations. This is an issue with almost all of the transit related stuff that have not been revisited in the past 20 years or have not been advised by a NAM member (I'm talking about older than 8-10 years releasees) or the modding and TE stuff were not based on a relevant NAM station...

On @matias93's image is a very much intentional modding, though stations are not meant to be placed like that inbetween two highway lanes. The no-car zot means that the passengers can't reach the station with a car-ped combo as the RHW doesn't have ped routes. However the modding allows a direct switch between bus and El-Rail (this is for TE switch and route stability reasons). There was a time when that type of switches were advised not to be used, but apparently a bunch of testing (made by @z1 and other members of the RTMT and MTA team many years ago) proved that they are kind of necessary and they are increasing stability of the stations.

Thanks. I had a hunch that might be it. I know that behaviour from @RalphaelNinja's Boulevard stations which also work by placing them next to the tracks. i think I'll move it.

Technically there is a big difference between the two. The Ninja Kiosk and Boulevard stations are so called proximity stations like the Maxis small station and require different switches than a station where the tracks are passing through, like the one on your image. The thing is that modern NAM/MTA switches for pass through or terminal stations but with embeded tracks has directionaly rail switches based on the layout of the lot and the tracks on the lot and different set of transit switches between rail and other travel types. The modern proximity stations has slightly different set of switches however the original Maxis switches for rail stations are working with 4 way switches for both pedestirans and rail. And many of these old switches on custom contents are a kind of hybrid of the two. 

To be fair I don't know if a proper modern MTA switch would not behave the same way, but that's a step into the game limitations and inherent transit network implementation issues coming with the game.

My mayor rating was tanking and I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. Turns out my city was getting flooded with strip club after strip club lol. This is the price I pay for installing Mathatter's NIMBY collections, but tbh worth it, makes an extra challenge.

Odd ? Growable specially, random appearance some predictable as like C$S  are relative at lower end of the spectrum ! Gas stations another low C$S growable, I avoid  them by plopable versions. This I haven't seen yet, Simgoober clubs instead  !

That might be one of the weird effects of the NAM DLL allowing draggable diagonal streets, messing with a shared tile between street and another network.

Guess, omitted some part of the installation !  See more of that, street arrows and lights are aswell reversed ? If not you can switch sides with  a startup parameter. At home here I have systems, left and right-hand orientated mixed installations ! UK, Japan, Indonesia, opposed rest of the world !

That's an interesting way to go to work: Instead of just driving to the bus station in front of the railway station, they get off before the roundabout and walk the rest. One needs to stay healthy, you know.

(In case you are wondering what's going on: One of the gravel path lots can turn passenger into subway traffic, as well as an inconspicuous lot looking like a street, to the left of the flowerbed in front of the railway station. I made it this way so people can really use the gravel path, although sometimes this has interesting side effects.)

I've found similar routing cases when building funiculars, which are also subway-based, but surprisingly, also with pedestrian paths, like in this case:
