Yep, throw in a toxic waste dump and those sims do end up going ballistic (or the opposite as far as mayor rating is concerned).

It's in there. The ~ -30 was the best (er, worst) I could do before I plopped the Toxic Waste Dump, Federal Prison, Alcatraz (-2), Missile Base, Area 51, Army Base, and Casino. The Mayor graph in my pic is showing what those did for me. Notice the little uptick in rating about 6 months prior? That was cause a Riot torched a building and I plopped a fire station to put it out and forgot it while I dealt with another riot. Then I went back and bulldozed it when I noticed the rating going up a wee bit. After that I let the rating trend lower again before getting the screenshot. This was done on Hard difficulty, btw.

I owe you a lot...

Did I really win? I got the impression that @euverus's simcity4201303200332521.jpg might have shown a negative rating. Tho @paulytools's follow-up comment, " I still can't believe you had to try THAT HARD to get a 0% mayor rating.", makes me wonder it if was just plain zero. The pic has gone missing, so only those who saw it at the time would know.

If I really did win your Grand Prize, then I'm not sure what to request. I don't really have a handle on what a Lot is compared to a Bat. I get the impression a Lot is the ground and props that uses a separate building (Bat). But, if it works out such that the query tool in game would show Cori's Place, that'd be just wonderful. Some low or medium wealth house built like in the 1850s to 1900s with a detached garage would be ideal. Surprise me if you follow thru. ;)

Oh, well, perhaps I should read it better. Congratulations on your hard work to displease your sims and even doing this on vanilla SC4.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

This sort of thing is bound to happen if you listen to some silly girl in chat who says you need more room between boat piers. See, then the Sim Captain saw it and says: Hmm, I can now fit mine in there...

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

I have no idea how I managed to drag out the one on the left right... FA 0.75? :???:

M14q2fU.jpg

So I saw this post recently after not checking this forum section out for a while.

I'm not entirely sure how easily replicated this is, but it seems to involve some bit of autoconnect with the power lines and a little bit of fiddling. Also, it appears we need to have the hideous overlapping diagonal pylon effect, which ironically is made worse by the pylons that I enjoy using more.

SC4Fix_pre3_2016-10-28_22.jpg

That would be, by the way, FA1.33 (in your example; mine appears to be FA3), since FA is determined by run over rise, so that 1 is diagonal and everything not diagonal is greater than one. This is obviously contrary to typical rules of slope, but was done presumably because FA3 is easier to say than FA One-Third or 1/3 or whatever. Fortunately the math works out to give the resultant angle whether you put in 1/3 or 3 (or any other nomenclature and its reciprocal), since the Tangent function (that you would use to determine the angle) is cyclical over 90 degrees.

EDIT: This is very hard to replicate.

EDIT2: and again. This showed up twice (I accidentally deleted the first pole it was connected to, but it connected to a different FA aligned pole a moment later, again appearing to be some kind of autoconnect bug. I don't know how KOSC induced this behavior, but I did it by having a bunch of powerpoles dotting the area and waiting until a random drag would produce the effect. Normally the game draws the lines after the poles are placed, but in this case the lines appeared before the build command was finalized (the FA powerlines were visible in the preview).

@APSMS: I eventually figured out the pattern and have a post on it here. I vaguely recall there being some other bizarre conditions depending on which direction you're dragging relative to the city tile (north/south etc.).

BTW, those power lines replacements look sharp and awesome - where did you get those?
