Thanks for the Starbucks ! Wolfe disappeared from the STEX some time ago --I have most of his stuff, but find no rail station. Do you have a *specific name* for the file ?

Had to look it up ... but the answer is: WZ-Gare-Avenue-Foch

Been working on Mediterranean-style suburbia in which I used different heights ... bit time-consuming but quite happy with the result ...

Reproducing in full detail the chaotic ugliness of contemporary Mediterranean burbs, first class job! *:thumb:  Love the mixed tunnel, I didn't even know it was possible.

Oddities on the blue line !

Stumbled on some NAM odditie while laying tracks for the Chicago Blueline track west of the loop !1 Blueline is one of the latestline+s n the concecpt of laying tracks in the middle of a hghway. Ultra modern, commuter mas transit or you agree with this  I doupt you will like to endure the highway smell to get to it´s public transit !

ps1rAv6.jpg

This seation kind of recreate I stumbled on some problems with NAM !

w0SchT4.jpg

Middle notce a similair median railway/subway stop with access ! At the right the suway rises from neighbourzone underground so no deal. Left I had to use the NDEX Rail to subway and agiain neighbouring zoen the same 1

Streets make no connection except chained to a road, onewaystr eet will not connect,  RHW,Rail, RhW seem fine at 1.

CX6BZvr.jpg

Loading adjacent zone we see this at 1, two is similair as the last to have it aswell athe the other side !

UViueOx.jpg

If I destroy at 1 the rail and stretch it doesn´t make a connection !

XIjnzqM.jpg

Going back to the otherside see at 1 there´s still a normal connection ! At 2 you see the first result with the scrambled connection !

CX6BZvr.jpg

Last destroy all this you get this at the otherside !

XC353sQ.jpg

This must be some odditie laying different networks aside of each other and might to do with inabilitie to have double bridges with tram or rail inbetween ?

Enjoy !

Some will see in this a Christmas tree, however the shape is actually meant to resemble a jabot, with the flowerbeds being the lace.

I'm not going to upload these gardens though, unless I get requests, as I suspect you guys may be growing tired of my floral arrangements!

Ooooh I like this! As it happens, I need some sort of diagonal park to connect diagonally to the diagonal corner of a roundabout!

Lovely done! You've really captured that "sense of place" that the great open world video games ect capture.

Completely changing subject, and surely a silly question: could a DLL be made that eliminates the height requirements for bridges to allow for ferries to pass through?

Not sure. I know the UI portion (Select a Bridge dialog) is controlled in the EXE, but I don't know how the game determines the ferry bridge height limit for simulation purposes.

Well this sounds much better than the flat-out "no" I was expecting. I would imagine the game calculates the distance between the water and clearance value of the bridge, but I'm not sure. Given this case, if it was possible to trick the calculation by adding a dozen meters, maybe this could be a way to go around the limitation -but that's just a wild speculation of mine.

To the community:

LOCATING KNOWN REAL LIFE BATS

2024 UPDATE

Hi, keeper of the maps here. Since the offline of SC4D LEX, the successor communities has been working hard to recover as much content from the predecessor in reasonable pace, with some of the content has been modified for better performance, as well as suit them for contemporary SC4 environment. In this relatively relax month of August, I have revisit all of the maps to look up for SC4D links (and old SFBT site, surprisingly) that has not been rescued yet. This audit will be released on that topics soon.

Also meanwhile, I am surprise no one has do a Glass House of New Canaan yet. So in June, I downloaded Glass House drawings from the official website, spending some spare time to tracing the drawings into CAD, model via SU. Then made it into what you are looking here.

(Arnold impression. Yeah...my modeling is not that good...sorry)

Unfortunately my PC don't have BAT software (or even SimCity 4, I have not been playing SC4 for like...nearly a year now since my old pc is broken).

So I might need someone daring to adopt this model as soon as I finish entire model first (including Brick House)

Meanwhile, more bridge skins on my part:

Your bridge reskins are very good, highly appreciated. I like do do something like this. Perhaps a suggestion to improve the first one a bit: The textures are a bit blurry on the brick wall part, you might want to increase contrast a bit. But other than that, they are really good.

A few questions: Are these lot-based, and do they completely replace any bridge/NAM viaduct, or do you just put them next to a viaduct to improve the look? Are they applicable for other routes than only road? It would be awesome to have an alternative for railway.

Hiya, thanks! Yes, I agree on that brick texture, I'll see what I can do given the little space I have in the file.

Good news for you, I think, as the bridges are lot-based overhanging props plopped on the slope next to the network, which means they are versatile and do not interfere with traffic at all. The lots are transparent, so you can use them on any terrain or add wall textures in the LE and save multiple instances for different scenes. Finally they can be decorated with MMPs, like the plopped trees you see in the shots. I am making the last one and then the set will be ready. *:)

And this is the first one re-textured:

bridge1.jpg.baa1d703c00b337c541c3ac8289aa992.jpg

Now on to the documentation before the upload! Well at least there aren't any dependencies for this one.

That look great ! I have the station with NAM 7.5m bridges which is  too mdetn fo the setting, that red double would look great !
