He can if he can find an image in a flattened format that doesn't use shadows. Good luck on that. Google Map is 3d, but you can't directly transfer it. I've tried. I wont even get into the piss-poor resolution you get.

I was going to attempt a Gausian blur on it like that, but you will lose a lot of detail. I used to use TF a lot, for personal use, but I find I have a lot more control in photoshop. TF has an annoying preview panel which makes it difficult to use. It does have a few features I still use, like global equalizing and smoothing/eroding. I can also raise or lower an entire region which is how I cracked the code of the perfect harbor height. My ports actually slightly raise ground now. But TF it's still too unwieldly for tight work. That MapGenerator thingy, I guess is useful if you want to use bitmaps, but with grayscale, all I have to think about is black, white and gray. 

I'm still on the hunt for a decent railroad atlas site. If anyone knows of one (hint, hint).

Meanwhile, I'll amuse myself with one of your subs.

I'll post it here again, for all those who never read my status post anyway. It's also my last post here ...

So dear friends, it's time to close my gift shop here.
That means that from now on no new creations will be published here.
Instead, from now on I will only make all my new models available on my new Patreon page.
There will also be models there that I have not yet published.

@Ke|is Very well done mate! I've always been a bit sceptical about using those baseball stadiums as the field is US based and not the full Japanese based softball style... But I have to admit it does look good in your city!

Also the old houses from Kei do have their appeal.... I like Neko's houses in HD and all but these do have a certain feel to them. I might consider mixing them.

While I was looking for something else, these BATs came into my way. They are fresh and new and quite wonderfull. Whoever is into japanese stuffs, they might be interested in these as well. I don't know if anybody advertised his creations to me (I think I got the idea from somebody from here, @Raymond7cn was it you? Or have I found it on discord?)

Yeah, I think it was discord, where I ran into his creations first. That lead me to the twitter account. 

Well, you can ask him, also I think @reg is following his twitter as well (by the way @Gobanboshi also started getting a bit more active with SC4, I saw a few of his tweets), it never hurts. But it's up to him whether he wants to join or not. We have two sources to his creations, STEX/LEX would be just a bonus. Of course on these "main" sites it would be easier to link his creations if someone wants to relot them. I'm not playing with CAM, but I can see some of his towers as CAM buildings, who knows.

I contacted him to say that he is being talked about on this site.
Well, there was no reaction from him to that.
If I need his BAT, I will talk to him again.

I use a render tool, using the fog setting (first selecting a colour, then distribution and then opacity), to create cloudy, atmospheric cloud layers over the original picture.

I discovered this can be applied to mosaics as well!
