The white tower Jekaterinenburg 1x1

The White Tower, built in 1929 and designed by M. Reisher, was considered the visual stamp on an ultra-modern Constructivist town, a glistening symbol of the new Soviet-era at the times of its construction. Just three decades after its completion, the tower was abandoned. The building remained empty until 2010, when a group of newly graduated architecture and art students undertook the enormous task of rehabilitating the tower for the benefit of the city. The group started small—researching the building’s history and staging a clean-up day, later progressing to the heaver task of conserving and stabilizing the structure, eventually establishing a public programming: media installations inside the tower narrate the story of its construction and that of the surrounding district.

Hiya Dread, May i ask that do you adjust the Terrain's Exemplar to make the water to be transparent? If so, May i know the value? I'm playing with Terrain mod recently, *:blush:Thank you!

Sincerely,

Yo, Raymond --

That's the "PEG" Brigantine Water MOD.  You can go from crystal clear to completely opaque just by using your "terra-forming tools" to raise or lower the height of the seafloor.  The more shallow the water -- the more clear it becomes.

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

You can do that with the WaterDepthForMaxAlpha property. It's a value in m, and at this many m below sea level, water becomes completely opaque.

@Barroco Hispano

That is an OUTSTANDING re-lot of one of our long-time buildings.   *

You have taken a somewhat "stuffy-looking" government building and given it a distinctly "palazzo" effect.

(Did you use "prop" night lighting to illuminate the garden areas?  You will have a much wider following if you develop the night-lighting early on.)

That thing used to be a water tower. I think it looks like an old coffee machine.....*;)
Not bad for 1929, when flourishes and stucco were the norm.

Often I go into the 'Ones that never made it to the STEX' thread as there are images of some real gems that have lain abandoned by their often long absent creators. Once sufficient time has passed and a fair chance exists that the creator will no longer return, then I usually whip up my own version of their model.

The original version of this next set of apartments was by Simfox. I have decided to make my own variant as you can make huge medium density mid-rise sprawl.

There are a number of lot variants:

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! This was one of my favorite unreleased creation from Simfox. THANK YOU Matt!!!! * *:thumb:

If you did a version without the construction pieces this would make for a very good WW2 time period piece - such as recreating Caen or one of the other towns from Normandy during the battle.  Double bonus if u threw in a sniper somewhere inside the building.

They can be quite modular: the 4x4 and 6x6 lots have central gardens; all lots have shaded seasonal prop families to give maximum variety when grown.

Will be released soon.....

You have made my day! :)

Yes, only nobody builds such a city scenario here. At least I've never seen anything like it here. So I prefer to save the time ...*:8)

Yes. I know. These are the things that were once done. And where are the corresponding, great WW2 cities? Whenever I see anything, it's at most a military base. My time is too good for me for such individual actions, which ultimately look like the Russian is besieging downtown New York, the main thing is that it lights up.....*;)
