Very nice! Can't tell if this is four bridges and an intersection together, or four 1x3 bridge props. Either way they look and those white lines on the intersection are subtle but a very nice touch.

There are four 1x3 bridges plops

But right there are zero ways of creating diagonal brownstone city blocks.

@SimCoug did growable diagonal houses a while ago. Wondering if their method of growing on diagonals would transfer to the rowhome thing?

A rather peaceful little grotto to relax in...after you've wrecked your car on that treacherous 4-way bridge you made.

I started cycling a long time ago. So I see it more as a cyclist bridge.....*:8)

The ultimate plan is to develop enough pieces to do that! When I make taller buildings, they will be a different format as you don't really see 13 ft wide, 5 story buildings lol. So probably double width of these. That would be more authentic to the kinds of buildings we have in NY anyway.

But I have an absolute ARMY of these lil guys right now.

Anyway I'm glad you like them. I'm working on some recolors. I want to ret up a prop family for thse but I'm not exactly sure what that entails, or what I'm talking about. So it's in the pipeline! :)

Just as a bit of a test, TSS with new NAM 38 SAM transitions..

test.png.9db56bc59a0edd9d0ddd9281e75e86e0.png

Not exactly successful (didn't fix the darkened texture issue which I've read about before) and this is the only piece I've done so far, but it's a first attempt at texture overriding for me. I think it's slightly better than having the Maxis streets shoe-horned in while awaiting the official update to TSS.

Since I don't have a hospital in my city yet, this will be my next project.
The box is so huge that it will probably be 5 or 6 pieces.

@Lucario Boricua's Humacao region with transit networks pre-installed, coming to a STEX near you soon.  I have to make a few more decisions, like how many surface-road access points to put in certain places (or leave it up to the user to build them).

You guys got to be getting tired of everything looking like old palaces over there. Why don't you let us send over some American architects to crap up the landscape with Subways and strip malls? *:D

Yes, it is very tiring. We urgently need more square skyscrapers, neon signs and grid streets. But I think we will manage it ... at some point you can no longer defend yourself against American "culture"......*

Wow! There's probably two or three frequent contributors on this topic who known about prop families and turning models to props. @mattb325 would probably know!

Those tenements are really cool but they're not New York style... Even if it's just plopping in a static model I would be happy as FA is FA!

Prop families are easy enough. This tutorial covers the topic (though the images have all gone missing): https://www.wiki.sc4devotion.com/index.php?title=Tutorial:Creating_Prop_Families

You'll need to request a prop family range here: https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=2490.msg535533;topicseen#new

Who was working on a series of Baltimore/formstone themed rowhouses?? I remember reading your post about making 3 buildings per tile, and I thought those measurements would lend well to a FA rowhouse block. So here's a South Philly style row! Still have some work to do on textures/roof junk, but this is the gist.

Anyway shoutout to that user who's making the formstone houses. Thanks for the inspiration! From what I remember your project was coming along great. These houses are a blast to make :) have fun5f5e3854601ee_rowfa31.jpg.679c2151f8437ea08245170380d902c6.jpg

That was me!  Unfortunately, I lost my motivation to finish that work and got distracted with other things.  Your models are coming along quote nicely!  If you're interested, I could send over my formstone texture and photoshop files.

I too was curious about prop families and I think I have a sense of how to accomplish it, but surely there's anexpert around here somewhere.
