philforhockey51- lovely bridges and river scenes. Dragonxander- the terrain mod and water mod you are using look amazing.

Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Decided to venture out of my comfort zone with a different set of terrains and city styles--trying to build a rural region with an early European Middle Ages heritage.  Gonna show some sneak peeks for something I hope to formally start in 2016!!

Yo, Dragonzander --

Where did you get the sailing ships?

I'm experimenting with some new terrain "techniques" -- your pictures have provided a bit of inspiration.

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

Yo, Ln X --

Where did you get your wooden fences??

That looks exactly like what I need.

Trying to finish off a large city map, a self-imposed prerequisite for my transportation related entries;

XMvZUS6.png

Always had a thing for maps and I love making them for my region since it's another way to make it come to life. It also helps me identify missing road links and eliminate street patterns that make little sense.

Yo --

Would you like to share?

I could get much older and grayer trying to sort through that mess looking for it.

SORRY -- THEY MERGED THE ENTRIES.

Yo, guys --

If you look in the upper left corner -- you will see railroad tracks.

Sitting over the tracks appears to be some sort of hopper device for loading rail cars.

Any ideas where to find that?

grunge01_Coal hopper.jpg

Fantastic work! can u write me the link from the freight station?

Gentlemen    Please reserve your requests for the Can't Find It Ask here thread.  To ask for something in a picture that is posted is fine but to post a picture to make a request is going too far.

Here are the rail overhang pieces you're looking for, I believe they are substations, haven't translated them in awhile.  http://uki-sim.seesaa.net/article/271977624.html

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

Sorry --

Offending picture has been removed.

And thanks for the effort -- but those were some sort of electrical substation thingie.  Not the coal hoppers on the tracks.

Merry Christmas !

Currently working on a small town in a wooded area with some farming.

I've never really used farms in the game before, so I figured I'd try my hand at "turning the sod", as they used to say.

This is the Newman Inc. Granaries.

I'm thinking of re-doing the University at the top.

Any other ideas or suggestions?

To be honest, it won't be implemented in any CJs, but I rather was working on this as a test of how much this mod could look on such a large scale. This Jin Palace was assembled 1x1 pieces, assembled into my little palace with modern Taiwanese-Hong Kong buildings in its background.

Still working on the farm town.

It's not so much a "farm town" as it is a small town with some agriculture mixed in.

This is in the region I'm using for my Jade Bight CJ -- so it's more a small modern town and less of the "small-town-USA" thing.

My first attempt at a farm --

@Dreadnought    I like that the farms are offset from the road and the tree line running along the roads, very much looks like farms in a forested area. One suggestion, increase the size of the crop a bit to better match the size of the processing barn. Need enough crop to fill that much barn.  :thumb:

Well everyone has their own opinion, but if I was building a farming town on a medium tile, I'd use ⅓ of the whole tile for one farm.

Yo, guy --

Actually -- I just wanted to build a few farms and test out my skill level at making something look pretty good and still look like a farm.

THIS is only a SMALL map.  And with all maps there is always the matter of "real life" Versus "game scale".

I was just going for "the essence" of the thing.  But -- each to his or her own. :thumb:

The starting point of a new suburb of Alicante. This city will get the combined metro area past 200,000 inhabitants, if all goes well. :)

edit: Right. You're gazing now upon the not-so-attractive development that has occured. I'd like to offer my apologies and a bottle of eye drops to repair the damage that's been done.
