The facade of the first house is more or less nearing completion:

    Enjoy!

Not much in terms of pictures here, but rather, a plan.

    8afcd25076db0a90b5ee9522427f5dc6d58a3d06

The idea is to create prop families for these houses as well as prop families for both the driveways and walkways, the former of which will overhang slightly to meet the street curb.

    8afcd25076faa335d8c6455cd0368e76ef80cf9a

As with my last houses, which I will release with these newer ones, the buildings will be slope-friendly. I have designed the houses in such a way that the foundation will be visible and function properly when the lot is built on a slope where the first pair of tiles closest to the road (of three total pairs extended away from the road to form a 3x2 lot) must be flat, but anything farther away from the road may be sloped. As for now though, let me know what you want to see in my BATs; what do you wish to see as the next release? Let me know!

It looks great! And as far as the release... We'll... I would really love to see released some of the walls you did... And see if some more model could be created, with different shops maybe... Also, following that same line, it would be great if you could create a set of walls for sunken highways... Maybe a set to use with the roads you just released :)

Will these homes be released as growables? Something like mattb325 did with his homes....that would be epic!

    Of course!

This will be the basic model as far as the tract housing goes:

    8afcd250765ce406438efaf330dfd456c0add0f8

It fits on a 1x2 lot at the smallest, but a 1x3 lot would be optimal for its use. Enjoy!

Bipin said in chat that this house is small. HE LIES. It is a medium-large or large house.

If this house is too small for bipin to live in then what is a large house to him?

    I MUST KNOW.

For the record, it has a smaller footprint than my current house, but only slightly. I thought you were talking about the 1x2 compact tract house; the untextured one in chat.

The new houses look great. Please don't forget that great suburban shopping area, I'd love to see that released. ;)

A few people had asked me how I do the modeling without 3dsMax a little while ago.

Here's your answer; a little bit of a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on in the Bipin BAT sweatshop cutting edge, revolutionary development facility.

Looks great, I hope you do variations on these houses. :D

I want to see 12 houses in variations. :D

Looks great, the roof is too reflective to me and i'm sure for others. :D

Where are these houses located at?

Do you have a Prop Family Index range for making variation? this can help you out so you can have less lots for the variations you have for you house. If you look at my latest files like the Aronic Place you can see I have only one lot, and all the buildings are sharing the same stats sense the apartments are the same size. I think this is a professional way to mod your work for Sim City. :D

You can get you Prop Family Index range here if you do not have one.

As far as the prop families go, I do have that sorted out. ;) As I recall, I have an IID range from a little while ago. Also, the roof texture is unfinished/broken anyways. If you look closely, you can see that the bump map is inverted; the shingles are sunken, not yet raised slightly like they should be.

A little light leakage, I know, but nothing that can't be fixed. ;)

Great job, and I like to read that you're going to make some variations, too! :golly: The skylight does look great, too. Not just a black hole, but not a tacky and very obvious "blue sky and clouds" texture, either. I like all those small details like rain gutters and downpipes, they really help to bring the building to life. If I had to pick out anything that could still be improved, I'd say that the porch light above the entrance door seems to have a tad too much glare, but that's such a minor quibble that I can wholeheartedly say I'd take the house as is and be happy. :)

Wonderful!  I love your homes.  They are so beautiful!  I might have to design my house like one of yours!  LOL.

    OH MY GOD... BEAUTIFUL.

I created similar homes way back then... but they're so boxy and ugly :b

I hope you adopt similar lots to this mod...

I can't play simcity without that mod, and I hope you make lots like that... I would LOVE that. This is amazing... now I'm in anticipation! ahaha

    Good job! (:

Despite having already established this before, I have to re-state this: You, sir, are a BATing genius! Those homes really look stunning. The highest quality low density res. I've seen in a while. ;)

Just throwing this thought out there though; you gonna be returning to futuristic BATing? I really miss all the HQ BATs you were making then ;)

I guess I've never actually told anyone, but my BATing schedule works a bit like this: I will do a variety of things at once; often two or three different BATs each day, but I will only show updates for one at a time to keep the theme going. Thank you once again for the kind words everyone!
