Sabretooth78, I must say it's an interesting analysis. I believe this was built soon after WW2, when the automotive industry was booming again and cars were flooding the streets if Sweden, which all of a sudden was a pretty rich nation. Route 73, going North-South, was probably there first. It goes straight through the city center, passing Ericsson Globe arena and Slussen on it's way to Gamla Stan, before ending by the wharf of norrmalm. So it definitely includes a major expressway. The question is when it was built, and why it's so far beyond organized.

Looks great! Nicely dressed with flora, too. :) Maybe some flat/low MMP stuff to decrease the contrast between dense forest and open grassland a little? I'd also say that the green park lots between the bridges stand out a bit. I'm looking forward to seeing your entire solution. :golly:

I believe the parks are traffic generators. A simple touch to bring some life into the picture. I'm sure pretty soon they won't be necessary. :)

Can someone point me in the direction of which mod you guys are using in order to make all these custom interchanges?  I love building highways but have gotten quite bored of the stock ones and the few extra ones I've downloaded so far.

It's all in the NAM, as well as many, many more SC4 network tweaks. Get it :)

The interchange looks great! At a first glance I thought that something had to be missing because it looks so simple and straight - but no, it's all there. A nice change of pace compared to some of the very impressive, but sometimes over-complicated interchanges showcased here. However, I think the bridge design is not ideal. These arches just don't look right when they are half submerged in the water. A simpler, no-frills bridge design may look better in this application - if that's a possibility at all, that is (I'm not familiar with RHW bridges).

Can't argue with simplicity

Cool thing, nice design and a very nice use of the available space to avoid large amounts of bridges. The only thing that bothers me is the dangerous lack of acceleration and deceleration lanes though.

Thanks! Sadly, the arched bridge is the only RHW-10 bridge available for the short length of the river. I could decrease the width to RHW-8, but it'd need to widen again to RHW-10 on the other side, creating a bottleneck of sorts.

Nice, but most of the radii would be bigger even with a cloverleaf. just my €0,02.

As odd as that interchange is, it's pretty cool. :thumb:

Completely unintentional.

The Banana Interchange? In any case that is one funky Partial Y :P

I've just noticed that the TuLEPs are actually redundant due to the MIS loops :uhm:

Those TuLEPs were just there before the loop ramps :P. The loops are just a modern addition? I dunno.

In any case great work both of you.

On the right side of the intersection yeah, unfortunately NAM does not have diagonal F1 6S->4S+1 exits yet.

Finished my interchange for the monthly competition in the raw form. It may be the most unique junction I have ever made.

Haljackey, your video is too long! But I watch it piece by piece :D
Here's something I've been working on - after another break of SC4 :D

This was a really tight place to manage here. I'm actually proud of myself :DSimCity42014-12-3002-33-27-47.png

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Hello guys, been trying to learn to use the RHW properly last few days, not as easy as it seemed from watching videos on youtube.

This is my first try at a big highway junction.. ugly :(

    a1b28b169b.jpg

Can anyone tell me what a better solution to those ugly angled curves could be? If anyone knows a good tutorial on how to use the interchange pieces, please let me know!

This is just an exit from the highway, was easy to do, unlike above. Problem is the texture glitch near the ramps... any idea what is causing that?

    Not too bad!

And this is my first try at railway interchange.

    Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Nice work! In the first image, I'd personally build a trumpet interchange. There are tutorials on building one in the RHW Interchange Guide. Hope this helps :)

If you are reffering to the arrows on the exits, thats normal like in this image

I could make a quick tutorial, if you like, on youtube, on making those curves with FAR's and Normal curves.

Recommend that you watch Haljackey's youtube channel. He's got awesome stuff. Also, don't forget to check out the SC4Dev website

Or I will make a video if you'd like. No biggie.

You could do a trumpet as suggested above...

Or instead of going under the highway, the zigzag slip could go over it, over the slip and merge to the outside? End up with something more like this?

Thats a very nice example, would be awesome to be able to make something that looks like that, I'll try a trumpet and post the results
