Well i think it's been a while since I last posted in this thread. I made the following interchanges about a month and a half ago when I extended a highway in one of my regions. However, i forgot to upload the photos until today.

Not sure what to call this one. Note that this is where the west-east highway(The one i extended) used to end at the north-south highway(It used to be just a simple trumpet interchange)

interchange1.jpg

Further west along the new highway, a partial y-interchange with an avenue. I didn't put a southbound avenue-westbound highway connection because there was not enough room.

I redid this interchange which which is based after one in my hometown of Fresno, CA. Ever since I made that, Caltrans completed the braided ramps(Similar to the 401's Basketweave) to connect CA 41/180/168 together and stop weaving. Here's a google maps view of what the real-life area looks like(I recreated the section of 180 from the 41 interchange to Chestnut Ave

    Jorge: Awesome! Simple yet effective,

I noticed the terminus gets quite some usage, so I drew this up as a possible uprgrade:

    (pic)

Not sure if it would even fit, but it adds capacity. I just thought I'd throw it out there for kicks, enjoy.

Very nice and very Interesting! This upgrade/new interchange was actually phase 2 of a highway upgrade.

Phase 1: (Also click here for a vid)

Phase 3, if it happens, would see the upgrade of the RHW-4.0-era interchange. I thought about truncating it into a 3-way junction like a trumpet.

Such density Hal. :O  Great work with the interchanges although some looks like they have taken all the city tiles. :P

I finished this one yesterday, the RHW going south-east is more of a national road as suppose to a highway/motorway.

Nice work with diagonal / fractional angle RHW Neils!

For your second pic, here's a quick drawing where where you can avoid the left entry:

    z41xDS3.png

EDIT: While I'm on the subject, here's the only left entrance I have ever made (built during a SPUI retrofit due to space conditions... I'd like it to become the third lane of the RHW-6C to the top of the pic)

That was what I wanted to do originally but there aren't any L2 smooth curves sadly, ERHW is a bit limiting sometimes. By the way, my name is Niels.  ;)

I also finished another interchange today.

    Yeah, it's a weird one...

You could use a FLEX Curve, those are smooth. They're what I use.

A FLEX Curve could be used there, but the way the red line is drawn 45 degree smooth curves would be needed for it to really look normal.

45 degree FLEX curves plz.

Correct but there aren't any diagonal ones.

How about using a L2 FlexFly, then a height transition piece to lower the elevation to ground level, then smooth curves to connect your MIS to the highway?

Although that'd work but I want to save space as well. To the north is the coast so I needed it to be compact and by doing that I wouldn't have a lot of space left.

Just a stack interchange I was fiddling with... no elaborate storyline behind it yet. What do guys think?

@Haljackey - (some reason wouldn't let me quote your post on the previous page) - That looks great. I can never make a spreadout complex system blend in well like that within a big city.
