I'd also straighten the part winding through the I-HT Sector. A simple 90° curve towards that intersection at the overpass would do just fine, why make it such a bowl of spaghetti? Not to mention that I-HT doesn't like noise, traffic, and pollution. Some smaller side streets will be enough for commuter and freight traffic to and from the I-HT facilities. If anything, I'd look into extending the EL-Rail network to reach that area. It's a very interesting-looking interchange, though. :)

this my new region, and updated interchange, the previous one, you can find in my journal. It took me a while to make that. Had to squeeze it in somehow, given that the state gave little moolah to start building it :P

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Excuse me if this is obvious, but how do you make the level 1 FlexFly as seen in this picture?

Also, for everyone who replied to my post, I have taken your suggestions into consideration. I can't post pictures right now, but I just wanted to say thank you.

This is a major interchange I built for a suburban area. I actually only came up with a rough idea this afternoon (I knew I wanted an interchange here, but not what), and a couple (perhaps several) hours later, this is the product. Oh, and it also contains an N/S expressway in the center (a first for me). The expressway runs between two future metropolises of mine.

Edit: To clarify, the two RHW-4 bridges on the right will merge into that highway across the river, like Haljackey did in his "Building a City From Scratch" (If you guys know what I'm talking about)

port_adams-jun._28__111404960364.png

Further north on the expressway, we have a port interchange (I demolished the port for now, I'm rebuilding it when I get the time :P). It contains direct on/off ramps with the expressway, due to it presumably being a major commute area for dock workers & such (And I see the texture glitch on the one overpass of the expressway, but I can't seem to fix it).

These are both works in progress, and were somewhat rushed, seeing as I won't be able to play SC4 for a few days :(. I will gladly listen to any constructive criticism you have, and use it to better my works. If there are any errors, please point them out! It's late here so I'm sure I might've messed up somewhere. :P

Traffic was bad, so I made a new interchange.

How about making it a sunken railway? For the part where it needs to get past the interchange, you could have it run through a tunnel.

I'd also suggest that you clean up that interchange a bit. I've never actually dealt with Project Symphony, but I'm guessing most of those MIS ramps were placed by you. You seem to favor the ground-level FlexFly piece quite a lot, and although it is a nice-looking piece, it takes up quite a lot of space. Me being a fan of extremely compact interchanges, I would suggest that you make your ramps a little less curvy and more direct (for instance, that ramp in the bottom-right of the second picture is far too wavy). That way, you could make your interchange much more realistic, not to mention prettier. Another idea to improve realism is to make your ramps further away from each other. Your entrance/exit ramps in the bottom area of the second picture are only 1 tile apart. So, anyone driving on that highway would have 1 tile (equivalent to 16 meters or 52.5 feet) to switch lanes. My general rule is to keep entrance/exit ramps at least 12 tiles apart from each other (That gives you roughly a 1/8 mile window to change lanes), although in most situations there should be an even greater distance.

    Hope my suggestions help.

Partially diagonal diamond interchange. Nothing new, just thought it might look funny. I really like this 7.5 m elevated RHW, because it allows me to create realistic highway embankments.

Bonus: tight expanded parclo with unused/unopened lanes

Maybe one day I'll retrofit it with accel/decel lanes, likely when the new lanes need to be opened ;)

You could also use the 7.5m draggable elevated road viaducts that are new to NAM 32. I love these, since 7.5m is more realistic for an overpass than 15 meters. After all, with most terrain mods, you won't have any of those cliffs that you get with 15m embankments.

The draggable overpasses don't work well with the Euro textures sadly, that's why I chose for the 15m puzzle pieces.

My latest one. The idea is that the highway is a border between the suburbs and the city center. The highway going to the neighboring tile goes to the CBD.

Show us more, this setup looks very interesting and complex. Nice fitting the Project Symphony elevated curves in there too.

So you are making a 45-degree FlexCurve, I see?

Actually, I'm not. That's just the regular 90-deg FlexCurce.

That's not what I meant. I'm talking about the part that I circled in the picture below:
