That's a nice design, I always like the partially grade-separated interchanges, reminds me of the federal roads around where I live.

Why the intersection with traffic lights, though? That's not necessary, only if you want to make sure people can do a U-turn on the highway. :)

Yup, and I'm not sure yet if I'm not gonna put an at grade junction on the left side as well and have a development off it. The flyover bridge is also a tile or two longer than need be by design to allow for future widening of the highway. This isn't going to stay rural.

This is a custom interchange I've been working on yesterday.  It was never completed though since my city tile corrupted last night.  I'm reverting to a backup file from a week ago, which unfortunately means I'll have to do it all over again.  Sad to lose several hours of work but at least I had a photo of it before it was gone.  Anyways this is my first photo I'm uploading to this thread so I hope you enjoy it  :)

Here is my latest interchange. It still needs some shoreline refinement and some scenery/trees added, but my progress so far:

(Sorry I had the grid turned on, and a shame flex-fly curves do not play well over diagonal RHW  )

It's too bad there isn't a L1 curve to ground piece available. Would make it possible to make a setup like that much more direct and compact.

But you could do something like this:

Finally done with this crazy exchange... I think :P

    Click pics for full size.

SB RHW widened to 3 lanes (was RHW-4 and originally MIS)

Hal, where the SB RHW mainline splits into 2 MIS why did you use the D1 (Striaght both lines) and not the E1 (Straight and Diagonal) and made one less curve maybe even a smooth curve? Or isnt there an inside E1 now that I think about it?

I'm not sure there would even be enough room.

As far as I know, there is no inside edition of the RHW-4 TE1 ramp yet, so that's impossible.

Here's just a simple interchange in downtown Crystal Waters (possibly a future CJ). I made this a long time ago and completely forgot about it. I still have to finish the scenery and "cosmetic" features around it. Figured I'd show it. It's pretty massive and takes up a lot of space. But like I said, it was one of the first interchanges I made a couple of years ago.

Looks really good but do you think there's a chance to tackle the intensely short weaving area to the bottom of the picture? I'm sorry, that just always jumps my eye. Maybe by putting the on/offramps south of the road they have access to, then looping them around is a viable option, weaving space would increase significantly.

Actually this was my initial plan, but sadly no inside piece exists for this setup.

Got two questions, what the hell is Project Symphony and where do I find the ground-to-level one ramps?

Project Symphony is the Maxis Highway Override which is an optional component in the NAM v31 onwards, and the ground to level one ramps can either be achieved with using the Flex Transitions in the RHW mod, or/and they are installed with the Maxis Highway Override.

Some MMP's to spruce things up as well.

    A blast from the past:

I always wondered why those weren't full access. I almost want to play it for nostalgic purposes.

Ahhhhhhhh... SC3k, I will never forget you. I guess full access would have been a bit too much for the game to handle complexity-wise, it's from 19...98? 99? Afterall.

lol, some of my standard screenshots exceed 3MB in size :P

Very nice work! Gets rid of the weaving.

For the first one, the ramp crossing the highway and entering the main road seems to be leading the wrong way.
