About This File

Hello everyone.

This lot is a close reproduction of a famous office tower complex in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The name of the complex is "Cidade Jardim Corporate Center" The complex is made out of office and residential buildings but in order to adapt it to SC4, only the office section is being depicted.

The building models were made by our talented JP Schriefer and the lot, base texture and several props were made by me and are of course included in this download.
2 lots are included, one growable CO$$$ 8X9 with 2110 jobs and one Landmark 8X9 lot with jobs with the exact same stats as the growable.
Depending on the models you download, you can have either the Maxis Night or Dark Night versions but not both. Please follows the instructions provided on the building models download page.
In order to see the DN models in their full glory you must also download Simfox Day and Night Modd. Not required with the MN models.

Dependencies are as follows:

As I said on the dev thread, this is really a work of art! It's not only a great recreation of the complex original, but also a pool of awesome details, specially props (that, I insist, deserve to be used in more forms). And while the esplanade indeed looks a bit awkward to the first sight, it is justified when the recreation aim takes precedence.

This project ended up pretty good IMO. Nick's intention was to make the Lot based on the real one with some modifications, and actually - I don't know if it's happening everywhere - but these newer projects in Brazil are always highlighting the towers doing empty esplanades around them, especially in São Paulo and other very dense cities where you have a concrete jungle, it kinda relieves the view. I think this lot and these buildings definitely won't fit in every city, so you just need to check where they fit better *:P
The pond and the bridge are lovely, and the textures and trees were very well chosen.

Thank you for 'leaving' your work area a bit to give some attention to this project *:)

5 stars for the added props and textures alone *:)
After looking at the satellite picture, I'd say it's a pretty accurate representation, especially considering SC4's limitations.  Nice work, and thanks for donating your time to help lot JP's great models.

Don't get me wrong, I really do appreciate all of the custom textures created specifically for this, but it would have been great if the vast expanse of plain concrete was filled with something...interesting.

Too much empty space behind the blocks. It looks unfinished, I think it wouldn't be problem for You to fix it soon *;)

Wow, this is different ; those little gardens... the green water.. [I wouldn't ind having them as separate plops !!! :-)] A very nice way to highlight those great buildings,  I like it a lot. But indeed the grey expanse could be more interesting  ; however, if it is plop-friendly... (is it ? if no, could it be ? we could then provide our own interests:-) )

In most large cities in the world, empty space (or 'negative space' as it is referred to in designer parlance) is the ultimate statement of luxury. It allows each element to breathe and be appreciated on its own. It's a nice collaboration between lot and bat, imho.
