About This File

This package contains 4 sets of Zebra crossings allowing you to add realistic Zebra crossings in your cities. Each set contains variants of the crossing to add flexibility and diversity.

I originally wanted to make these for my (UK-based) game, but to try and be inclusive I've put together some non-UK options for release too:

  • UK: Designed for use with Euro textures where sims drive on the left, these lots are UK themed too.
  • UK Right: As above but for users where sims drive on the right.
  • EU: Designed for use with Euro textures where sims drive on the right, these lots have a more European feel.
  • US: Designed for use with US textures where sims drive on the right.

Dependencies

Required for all versions:

BSC Mega Props D66 Vol01

UK Versions Only:

BSC Mega Props Gascooker Vol01

PorkieProps Vol1

French Road Signage Pack

SHK Parking Pack

MGB Crossing Textures - Included

Kspd_Crossing_Lamp.SC4 Model - Included

EU Versions Only:

PorkieProps Vol1

French Road Signage Pack

BSC Textures Vol 2

US Version Only:

SHK Parking Pack

Notes:

I would like to say a big thank you to Krashspeed for making the Lightpole prop for the UK crossings, without his kind assistance the UK ones would not look half as good. Please read the included readme, especially if installing the US set, otherwise they may appear to display incorrectly. If you are still stuck or have any comments, feel free to comment in my shack on Simtropolis.

Mh, interesting stuff you got there. So are those zebra crossing ploppable. I don't see another way of controlling them where to appear.

I'm not british anyway but aren't those stripes a bit too thick? :O

Otherwise, good work :)

Being British myself those stripes look spot on, the light cones are amazing and the diagonal markings are really good. Yes, those stripes really are that thick in real life!

Yes they are plopable and not intended to replace the regular crossings at junctions, more for a place where you want a crossing without a junction. In the case of the UK versions, the markings are 100% authentic as Ln X pointed out, in the case of the EU/US versions (which can be used if you don't have a British-look) they are just whatever textures were already around. The EU one is based off the Zebra crossing outside my flat in Germany so they should be pretty authentic too.

Thank you so much, I have seen similar in many CJs and always wanted my own. But how about a British right hand drive version please?

Honestly it never occurred to me that British users would have sims driving on the right. That said it wouldn't take long to change and the point of the set is really the British crossings so I'll see what I can do about it. - Done, updated file now available.

Do these lots have transit switch properties so that we can use them to connect PedMalls?

If so, then this is some excellent work! Five stars even if not, since this was one of those "forgotten" things.

They aren't transit stops, no, but they do have correct TSEC and capacities set. It's a good idea though, I might look into making a transit stop version of some kind.

I do have plans to expand the supported networks.

It's taking a lot longer than I'd hoped to realise though. Not least because I can't get the TEing to work as I'd like them to. Eventually though I should be able to offer such an updated set.
