Bipin's "Turbout" Turbo Roundabout package includes the necessary components you need for

modernizing your suburban or rural areas. Whether it be gentrifying old neighbourhoods or simply

creating sleek, new modern ones, the four-way stop is quickly becoming a thing of the past in all

corners of the world. There's no better way to hop in the urban revitalization bandwagon than with

these simple, albeit extremely useful pieces that add roundabout intersections for the most crucial

and common intersections your Sims will face!

Begin with building an interchange more or less similar to this one:

72350289.jpg

As an alternative, you may replace the avenue towards the left and the right with RHW, like I have.

Once that's done, overlap my large roundabout piece so it covers the whole area. That's what you

see in previous pictures.

Included in this package is a highway/surface network roundabout interchange, as well as a highly

modular set of roundabout for smaller, albeit no less common 3x3 surface-street intersections. These

pieces come in several varieties, with zero, one, two three and four crosswalks to meet all your urban

enhancement needs; to fulfill a range of applications where you may wish for greater modularity.

However, as much as I regret saying this, the dependency located here is necessary, for the buildings:

I hope you enjoy this set, and please be sure to check out the smaller SimCity websites around, like

SimMania for instance, which may be found here: http://simmania.darkbb.com/ or SimCityBuffs here:

If there's one thing I'd like you to get out of this BAT set, it's that the lesser-known communities were

heavily involved in this project. A big thanks goes out to SBT (SimMania) and those of you over at

SimPEG. Thanks for all the help over there, I couldn't of done a lot of this without your insight! On

that note, expect to see future BATs released a day or two early on the aforementioned sites.

Note: I am aware of some bugs regarding textures and prop placement. I am fixing them now, so don't fret over the issue.

Great Look!! I really need something like this for my high trafficed areas... but concerned that the dependancies aren't mentioned...

Thank you everyone for the kind words! I'm addressing a few cosmetic issues now, so I'll upload a new version in the near future.

There is one dependency and it is mentioned. Thanks anyways though. :)

Serously... have you any idea HOW LONG I spent building a highway interchange like this yesterday using nothing but the NAM (with slope mod), overpasses and ground raising/lowering lots!? If I'd just waited a few hours I wouldn't have needed to bother, is that what you're telling me? :D Gonna have to download this later... or maybe I'll wait until you've sorted your "cosmetic issues" (adding to watch list).

As an aside, WMP Allotments has a LOT of dependencies itself ... it's worth having anyway though (I installed it for a highway wall thing that had it as a dependency a while ago) as it gives you a much more pretty and modular way of creating urban allotments than the default Maxis plops, with fences, paths, bridges and car parking (goes nicely with some of the SimPeg MTP and PPonds bits).

The textures is supposed to look like that.

Actually, there are a few issues related to prop placement which I need to fix. This is only apparent in some situations. However, you are right in that textures are correct. ;)

Heh - yeah, I wasn't referring to the textures, I was directly quoting bipin - in the post immediately before mine he states he is "addressing a few cosmetic issues now, so I'll upload a new version in the near future" - so I figured that since I AM going to install this, but don't need it right this minute, I'd wait until that updated version is online is all ;)

Excellent work!!!  I love to see new work being put into roundabouts!!

On the subject...  I have been on the hunt for a 3x4 avenue / road round about.  This animal does not seem to exist yet it is sorely needed.  Anyone have a lead on such a creation?  Seems like something the NAM team should have high on their list.

Could we have a GLR version? Otherwise great job!

I don't believe FLUPs can go under GLR roundabouts. I had actually considered doing this, but I believe it isn't feasible due to restrictions on the NAM and the game itself. If that's the case, I'll have to forward your call to the modding department, so please hold... ;)

Hi Bipin. This looks really nice, and I've tested it out in game, and though I don't use roundabouts often (American distaste for the things), I think that above all else these need a custom icon. Anyone other than piggybacking onto the WMP icon would have been ok (As in ridiculously basic MS paint type icon), as these are ridiculously hard to find. Imagine my surprise as I went to place an allotment and came up with this. I would suggest talking to someone experienced in making the things (like Paeng, for instance), Maybe they can help you or even make some for you.

Otherwise, great job. 5/5 (or 9.2/10) fix the icon by the next release, and it'll be a 11.03/10. And the parks menu thing is fine; I've already got catenaries and signal boxes and roundabouts and other non-park stuff in there, so its at least well-used, and not without other transportation friends

Thank you for the kind words and useful criticism. I'll certainly take it into consideration for future release, as it sounds like a simple but useful addition. Thanks once again!

Everything is transit enabled per say. You plop my BAT over a functional roundabout interchange, as pictured.

I really like this but I wish there was a version where the offset is concrete/opaque rather than transparent. Or am I just missing a dependency to make the offset opaque?
