About This File

In 1912, a shipping company known as White Star Line would make history. Their pride and joy was the RMS Titanic, the largest ship in the world at the time. With furnishings to rival the finest estates of the old world, passengers were offered unrivaled comfort on each voyage. The Titanic was to make her first Atlantic crossing from Southampton to New York City via Cherbourg and Queenstown, leaving port on April 10th but four days later at 11:40 PM, Titanic hit an iceberg and as a result of a major design flaw, the ship sank in two hours and forty minutes, taking 1500 lives with her.

More than a century later, Titanic's legacy lives on through books, movies and memorials around the world. Plans have been made to build full scale replicas of the ship. This upload brings the original Titanic to the waters of SimCity 4.

About the upload-
This file is a replacement for the Maxis Cruise ship. The ship will spawn at, and sail from the Cruise Ship port or other lot which generates the ship.

Dependencies?
None required.

Spoiler Alert: Rose Lets Go, and Jack Dies. In all seriousness how many polygons is this model? It looks simple enough that it might be usable for automata. Then you could drive it into an iceburg.

@Xyloxadoria- I believe it is somewhere around 1600 polys, maybe close to 1700. I was really worried I would have too many polys as I was adding most of the details like the screws and the cargo cranes.

@Konstantill- The other one was an original design with flat textures. This one is directly modelled after Titanic. If you were to compare pictures of both ships, each one would be different.

I've been waiting for this one! This is an incredibly detailed model for an automata file. Thank you very much for your hard work!

@lovesimcity4life- Make sure your setting are set to Hardware. That should take care of the problem.

Loving it- well Done- may she rest in piece.

Don't you mean: May she rest in pieces?  Or perhaps the less humorous, more appropirate version: May she rest in peace?

Nice, but no thanks.  Too many bad associations for me.  Anyone been to the cemetery in Halifax?  I have.

So, uhh... Fun Fact: The theory that the Titanic was a weak ship has been debunked. The ship stayed for 2 1/2 Hours without capsizing before sinking.

In all seriousness though, this goes well with the Steamships pack :)
