For a first BAT this is really good, you should open a thread on the forums and within no time you'll be knocking out masterpieces.

I don't mean to be cruel, but why no Maxis night version? :-(
I hope it will work ok with MN and is not too dark at night, because it looks very nice at daytime and I would like to use it.

I LOVE that you put "be cruel to me" even though it's your first!  if you ever pump out a Maxis Night version tell me 'bout it.  This one looks great!

This would be a great building even if it weren't a first effort. For a first, it's awesome. The only criticism I'd make is that the color of the entryway roof seems kind of odd. However, I used to live near some apartments like this and they also had colors that didn't quite go together, so it works. Thanks for making a Maxis night version, I'm looking forward to trying these out!

Great job, I really like the style of these. A couple suggestions though: the roof texture needs to be reworked, the mottled colour looks more blurry than anything else. The lots as well seem a bit overwrought with detail, especially the 4x3 version. The block looks grungy, and is at odds with a park that...well kept. I'd also recommend changing the back of the blocks, where the 2nd and 4th floors are recessed. It doesn't affect the quality of the BAT, but in terms of realism those units would be extremely shallow and wide. Apartments like this are generally like hotel rooms: narrow and deep. If that's intentional than maybe emphasize the point by making balconies out of those sections? You could box a couple of them in for even greater detail.

Regardless this is a job very well done, quite impressive for a first BAT. The only significant issue is the roof texture. Keep up the good work!

I also want to say I like that you used coniferous trees. They really suit the building! I'm getting a major 1980s Manitoba Housing vibe off these.
