Origin Server Status - Unified thread
nicholas.post86 replied to Dirktator's topic in SimCity (2013) Technical Help Q&A
"Sim City Servers are down, attempting to reconnect..." This flashes in the upper left corner of my screen constantly. After a while it will say "connected!" and then thirty seconds latter the same old message appears again. I spent 3 hours (after waiting 3 hours to log in) building my first region today, then I was booted from the server and when I logged back in, it was gone! Anybody else having horrendous problems like this? I've already started over twice on different servers, besides i shouldn't have to start over, this is ridiculous. I should have wiped my @$$ with 60 bucks instead of buying this game, at least then I would have had something to show for it. -

It's Saturday, and the servers are still a mess
nicholas.post86 replied to mastorofpuppetz's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Look, I'm not trying to whine or complain but when you drop $60, which is a lot of money to me, I don't know about the rest of you, you expect your product to at least function at the most basic level. Sim City 2013 does not function, at least in my personal experience so far. I work, A LOT, so when I have a little while of spare time to play a game, I assume after giving the company my hard earned money that I will be able to enjoy their product so that I can relax and blow off a little steam. Not wait 20 minutes for an overloaded server when I only have 1 hour to play. This isn't WOW, this is Sim City, this always on DRM is Bull-Puckey! Yes there are issues to be expected on a release day but I can't even play the game! The point I am trying to get across is, would it make any sense for you to give McDonald's $60 at the drive-thru, and then be informed that you may have to wait a week for your order because the *bugs and kinks* in your order need to be worked out? There are no excuses for why this game is not playable to the fullest extent possible of the customer on release date after years of development, this is not acceptable behavior from ANY company. -

Can anyone recommend a game until SimCity Release?
nicholas.post86 replied to Captain_Juice's topic in Gaming Talk
I would recommend X:COM as well, I had a lot of fun with it and the game can be extremely challenging. Nothing hurts more than leveling up a squad member for 4 hours and then losing him in a firefight. Once your members die, that's it. -

I just bought Minecraft recently, plenty and I mean plenty of replay value. -
Sorry about the spelling error! lol

This morning Sony announced that the Play Station 4 will be released around the "Holidays" this year. Who's buying it?

If EA decides to release DLC "chunks" for money, then is there any incentive for them to allow modding for the game? That really worries me.

In no particular order my top ten would have to be: 'The Fountain' by Darren Aronofsky 'Alexander' by Oliver Stone Office Space Event Horizon Munich Kingdom of Heaven Casino The Dark Knight (Batman) Grandma's Boy Saving Private Ryan Nonny Moose, did you know that when adjusted for inflation, 'Gone With The Wind' is the highest grossing film of all time?

As soon as you get a free weekend, it might be consumed lol.

Sistergame to the SimCity-series: The Sims Series
nicholas.post86 replied to Prah's topic in Gaming Talk
I don't know if I would call the Sims a sister game for SC4, I would view the relationship between the two more as adopted step siblings lol. I have Sims 3 and play it randomly when I need a respite from my mayoral duties. The game is engaging for maybe an hour or so but I tend to lose interest micro-managing someone else's life. Don't get me wrong, I think the Sims franchise was a great idea and somewhat original for the company to pursue, it's just not something I enjoy too much. -
Nice, Indiana Joe!
