About This File

UPDATE: 23.06.2022 for Project ZIP. Installer replaced with ZIP file and other housekeeping, courtesy of Tyberius06.

This pack contains a set of six bus stops that sit on a road/street/avanue tile and don't require extra space beside the road. This is very useful for busy downtown areas or areas where you've forgotten to put in bus stops but don't want to bulldoze.

There are two sets of lots, each one with one street lot, one road lot and one avenue lot. Set1 is a more run-down looking busstop, based on the prefab pebblemix concrete ones found in many Australian cities. Set2 are more upmarket with transparent glass. They also use a texture with a pull-off area so the busses can pull off the road (as found in many places).

All are found together in the miscellaneous transport menu.

Install: copy/extract the Deadwoods parent folder into your plugins. If you extracted the _Documents folder into your plugins, too, it's highly recommended to keep it, but move it out of the Plugins folder.

The pack comes with two sets of textures for the pullouts. One uses the Maxis road textures and one uses the Euro road textures. Both will be installed when you extract the ZIP. So you should go to the install directory (/SimCity 4/Plugins/deadwoods/DEDWD_RTBusStop) and remove one of the following (the one you don't want):

DEDWD_RTBusStop_Euro_textures.dat, or

DEDWD_RTBusStop_Maxis_textures.dat

The specs and transit properties of the lots have been updated to current days NAM standards.

These lots are BSC Tracking Enabled (BTE) which means they may contribute to Reward Chains.

Dependencies:
BSC Textures vol01

from what I can find out it seems that no one can detect how to stop the no road zots appearing so it is probably a "feature" of all such bus/subway stops

I tested this file before adding my comments. This lot works, even positioned immediately beside the building. Superb!

Bobby T - no, if it's a single width building behind it you get them. there's no fix, other than wait for a building wider than one tile.

How do you think such things up! Next time you should try to make a high capicity one for a highway with stairs leading down to the city.

I had tried to figure out how to install and configure Cogeo's RTMT, and let me just say I had a horrible time trying to get Cogeo's to install, and still got brown boxes, but this was simple and easy. Thanks for the great mod.

i love this set - it is perfect, well almost perfect. placing a bus stop cuts off road access for residential zones. my homes go abandoned. sound familliar? is there a way around this? thanks for the great work ps: commerical and industrial zones are not effected

I love it, i have seen some of these, but they are allways bugged or have poor grafics, this looks good, i've been looking for something like this for some time (the shelter could look better: clean, modern, artistic) 8/10

Just what I was looking for. Tried others, didn't work or looked awful. And finally someone who puts everything into one place instead of making us poor slops search for all these dependencies. Thanx.

I can't use this on Mac because of the installer. Could you please release a regular version?

very nice im loving them - but i would really like some modern ones and ones without the grey concrete for use on roads.

Handy thing :) Too bad you only made a street version (and no road one).
