  1. The Capital of the World!

In my opinion, the 19th century belonged to Paris or London. The 20th century undoubtedly belonged to New York City. However, the 21st century will see London as the world's capital. This is ,indeed, an opinion shared by a certain New York Magazine. London, the great crossroads of the world, is the most culturally significant city in the world. The city is also now the most prominent financial centre with more money trading hands here every day, than any other city on Earth. It also benefits from having, perhaps, the most historical ties out of any city on Earth. Being the seat of the most dominant power ever witnessed on Earth (the British Empire) and now the Commonwealth, London mantains strong ties with countries from all corners of the globe. Looking to the future, London is the most prominent city in what will be undoubtedly the world's most eminent superpower in the 21st century - the European Union. London is the world's capital city.

  4. Show Us Your Suburbs

dusktrooper that city of urs looks like a real life city in size and in.......well realism lol
  5. Show Us Your Suburbs

i tried to create an L.A-style city with all low density(except for ind and downtown) and artery-type highways. its really difficult in SC4, especially in managing police, hosp, schools and all of dat stuff
  6. I use loads of plops. What I tend to do is finish the city Im playing except for my planned plops. I then pause the game and plop all of my res buildings. After doing that I sim it for a month to get the pop. but there should be a no job sign which is where I exit the city as these buildings will just dilipidate. I mainly use my plopped res buildings for asthetic effect.
  7. How many squares = a mile?

The way I remember it, not too sure if I'm correct but neway: Large City is 4km x 4km, Medium 2km x 2km and small is 1km x 1km.
  8. Hi, I haven't played SC4 for a long time but I've now got back into it. Developing my cities I realised it would be useful for me to have a lot like a small park green or something similar, except modded to have something like 50,000 jobs. Does anybody know of a lot like the one I have just mentioned? Thanks.
  9. Bedevere, a city journal ahead of it's time.

I have just read through this cj and I really like it! The photoshopping and story are both excellent. I also like the way how you used the Sims 2 in this as well.
  10. Aberni: City at War -Paused-

Good and interesting start - this is very different to any other CJ that I have read.
  11. The monolith

The textures could have been better I guess.....
  12. BLaM Urban Basketball Court

Thanks for this - it will slot nicely into my slums.
  13. NDEX Niobium Energy Corporation

Very Good. However I feel that if you ommited the greek decorations on the roof it would have been better. Even so, this is a very good building.
  14. Ideal combination of mods

My favourite terrain/tree mods are by cycledogg.
